What is Amy Lee doing up there? I cringed so hard reading the comments of people claiming she's the best nu metal vocalist.
I don't even like the idea of calling her a NU METAL vocalist because she can't even scream or sing aggressively which is a must.
Sorry but the majority of the nu metal vocalists on this list is superior to her.
Chester in every aspect.
Chester is definitively deserving of number 1 spot without doubt, but the rest of the top 5 (in no order) should easily be Corey Taylor, M. Shadows, Matthew Tuck and perhaps either Amy Lee (who is an amazing singer by the way even though I don't listen to Evanescence all that often, Serj Tankian or Benjamin Burnley who I think is extremely underrated. Anyone who is unwilling to accept that or notice these peoples talents as well as my great and much respect to the others who are very close behind from the top 5 and who are some of my top 5-10 favorite bands clearly doesn't understand diversity and the meaning of Nu-Metal.

What is M Shadows doing up there? He is a heavy metal singer, not a nu metal singer. Corey Taylor is way better than all of the nu metal singers. He should be number 1 on the list due to his extremely aggressive and strong vocals.
Slipknot has some nu metal songs but I'd rather call them a proper metal band instead of nu metal. Their riff style differs from general metal riffs but their songs are arguably one of the heaviest modern metal songs.
Come on man this guy totally rocks... nu metal songs like duality, wait and bleed, psychosocial, before I forget etc proves that he is the best, he should be on number 1 or 2, and I chester Benington is also cool... amy lee and M. Shadows sucks, they don't deserve this place
Jonathan Howsmon Davis, also known as JD and JDevil, is an American musician best known as the leading vocalist and frontman of the nu metal band Korn. Jon's voice is amazing. He can sing metal and has a awesome deep growl, but if he wants he can sing emotionally. Not to mention the lyrics come from the heart and have a deep meaning to all the songs he writes. His scat is unbelievable and is the best I ever heard. In addition to his amazing ability to play instruments of all types, guitar, bass, drums, bagpipes, violin, harp, piano, etc. Conclusion... Jonathan Houseman Davis = Greatest Metal/Rock singer of all time.
Jonathan 'HIV' Davis was ranked #16 in top 100 metal vocalist of all time. He's the best vocalist of nu metal genres. No ones in here was ranked higher than him. I love Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Corey Taylor of Slipknot/Stone Sour but I feel they are not good like Jonathan Davis.

His voice is so unique. He does great on both his solo career and System of a Down. I don't know anyone else who can make those growling noises on just a microphone. He did it amazingly at Rock in Rio about two years ago. Serj Tankian is amazing ans System of a Down is amazing
David Michael Draiman is an American songwriter and the vocalist for the band Disturbed as well as for the band Device. I have been listening to Nu Metal, Metal-core, and Heavy Metal since I was about 7 years old and out of all the bands and vocalists I listened to, I liked David Draiman from Disturbed+Device the best. I don't fully understand why Amy Lee and Linkin Park are here; because while they did do some Nu Metal songs, they can't be classified as Nu Metal singers or bands when most of their songs are classified under Hard Rock and Alternative Rock. If we were talking about Heavy Metal vocalists and bands, then I would choose Austin Carlile from Of Mice And Men 100%. I believe that Austin Carlile is possibly the best Heavy Metal vocalist in the 21st century.

Chino Moreno has a great voice that can fit into all kinds of songs that they have composed. In the course of their long standing career, the has proven that he can scream, rap, sing melodically, sing softly for more mellow or acoustic songs, and has even contributed to a large number of other songs in collaboration with other artists of varying genres. Besides, he is one of the few vocalists who are still in the same band that is considered relevant in the industry and in the younger generation today.

I am a big fan of several of the singers on this list but Amy Lee doesn't deserves to be on any list of professional merit. She may be super talented but she is definitely super childish. I've not listened to her since the release of Sober.
