Top 10 Spider-Man Villains

He's an alien parasite that's black, can infect hosts to make them do its bidding, and imbues its host with superpowers.

Technically, it isn't evil. It is an alien symbiote with a side effect of altering a human's prefrontal cortex, causing aggression. So, it isn't actually bad! A symbiote has to bond to a host to survive. It just amplifies the evil that is already present. Therefore, it shouldn't necessarily be on the list. However, I think it's pretty badass, so it deserves the number one spot!

Venom is amazing. He's my second favorite, sadly next to Mysterio. But still, he's great. Oh, and his movie (Tom Hardy portraying the character) is great. I enjoyed it. I loved it no matter what.

The Green Goblin is without a doubt the greatest Spider-Man villain ever. He has every right to be known as Spider-Man's archenemy! Norman Osborn is extremely intelligent, strong, and psychotic. His laugh is creepy enough to send shivers down your spine. He has launched more personal attacks on Peter Parker than ANY of the other villains. Doctor Octopus is Spider-Man's Penguin/Riddler, and Venom is Spider-Man's Bane.

The Green Goblin was the first to know about Spider-Man's true identity, had a one-night stand with Gwen Stacy, getting her pregnant and then killing her after discovering he is not allowed to raise the child, etc. He threatened Peter's Aunt May and is always endlessly tormenting Spider-Man. He has even been able to go toe-to-toe against the Avengers! He is my number one favorite Marvel villain.

The guy took his dying body, put Peter Parker's consciousness inside it, then took his own consciousness and put it inside Spider-Man's body. He then let Peter Parker die inside his own broken body and took over as Spider-Man. He's also threatened the world countless times, even going so far as to amplify global warming and using it as a weapon. He formed the Sinister Six, killed Captain George Stacy, and countless others.

Everyone says Venom is Spider-Man's greatest enemy, and while he's awesome, I like Doctor Octopus better. He has a scarier vibe than Venom, mainly due to his intelligence. The arms are also pretty scary.

My personal favorite Spider-Man foe, he will always remain superior to all (I've always wanted to say that).

The best villain for various reasons. First and foremost, because he's an actual villain and not an anti-hero. Additionally, he holds no sentimental attachments but rather, a strong feral mindscape and philosophy of spreading chaos and brutality. His sheer ferocious behavior, coupled with his mental psychological warfare, makes him the Joker of the Spider-Man universe.

Furthermore, he's more sinister and cunning than meets the eye. When a psycho-analysis of his mind is attempted in "Mind Bomb," he portrays how he sees the world, a sight of grisly yet honest reality. And this perception kills the examiner. By far the most powerfully compelling and dramatically captivating villain. If all that isn't enough, he's got a fundamentally awesome design and fighting maneuvers.

Mysterio, as one of the most powerful supervillains, is notable for his intellect. His illusions are incredible, and he is able to hold his own against Spider-Man with only a smokescreen and his brain.

Spidey can't stop making jokes about the fishbowl he wears on his head. Even Doc Ock once made a joke about his fishbowl head in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.

Any fantasy can be real. How does Spider-Man beat him? I don't know, but he is awesome. You think he can't make a bomb in a few seconds? Guess again, sucker.

He's a giant lizard with armor-like scales, a regenerative healing factor, super strength, telepathy with everyone's inner lizard, and a tail capable of shattering concrete. How much cooler can you get?

He is feral and a mutated ten-pound reptile. He is also his teacher and friend, Dr. Curtis Connors. He was also in the latest Spider-Man movie, Amazing Spider-Man.

Out of all the Spider-Man villains, this guy definitely has the coolest design.

People only like him because he was portrayed as a sympathetic character in Spider-Man 3. What people are forgetting is that Sandman was NEVER a sympathetic character in the comics, or in any of the TV shows. So, just because of one portrayal, people really love the character. Watch the TV shows (I would recommend Spectacular Spider-Man to true Spidey fans) and read the comics. You will notice a major difference in the character.

Sandman was the best part of Spider-Man 3. Even though a lot of people were mad because he was Uncle Ben's killer in this universe, I actually liked it. It gave the character more depth, and Thomas Haden Church is just a great choice for Sandman.

If Sandman was Spider-Man 3's only villain, it would've been a great movie.

I hate that his hatred for Spidey comes from the fact he was shot by the cops when Spidey said he wouldn't be. Then again, Spidey didn't get a confirmation from the cops that they wouldn't shoot him. If I were to direct The Amazing Spider-Man 2, I'd have him attempt to get revenge on those who could care less about him. However, in the end, Spider-Man would talk him out of it, and they would become allies to each other. Roll credits!

NUMBER 8?
Here are three reasons why he should be number one:

1. He's super cool.
2. He's the most innocent villain of all time.
3. The way he got his powers is awesome.

People think Spidey always holds back against the Kingpin because of Back in Black. But, the original author of Kingpin never said that, so, yeah. KINGPIN for the win #1.

An amazing character, and as stated, he 'killed' Spider-Man. It would be easier to make a movie about him than about every other villain in the 5 movies.

Stan Lee always said this is the one character he would have loved to have seen on the big screen. Make it happen.

He is the only one who can claim he has killed Spider-Man. Well, that he could've. Kraven's Last Hunt.

Ironically, this was the best villain and the strongest.

Amazing! So much better than Shocker.

Hobgoblin is the true master planner. He was, and is still able to control things from behind the scenes but can still get his hands dirty when he needs to. With the Green Goblin's arsenal and skill set and a sharper, more calculating mind, getting his hands dirty is a walk in the park. Speaking of his mind, Kingsley's business-savvy mindset allows him to see everything as a money-making opportunity, which lets him function better than most, if not all, Spider-Man villains.

Hobgoblin perfected the Green Goblin's serum and stayed sane, whereas the Green Goblin was insane. The Hobgoblin was also stronger than old Greenie (even though I really like the Green Goblin too). Hobgoblin's true identity stayed a secret longer than Green Goblin's did. The only advantage Norman had over Roderick was that he knew Spidey's identity, while Roderick did not.

He's the only one who doesn't hold a grudge against Spider-Man because he understands that it's just what heroes do. His personality makes him a very interesting character, and he's one of the few who bested Spider-Man in a fight more than once!

Shocker focuses on getting money and respect instead of seeking revenge on Spider-Man. Along with cool abilities and character flaws, these make him one of the more interesting Spider-Man villains.

Everyone hating on my boy Shocker, but Shocker is the best. In Spectacular Spider-Man, Shocker used to use a lasso, but then he used his energy gauntlets and became a legend. I also have a good nickname for Shocker, "Chad Shocker."

Mac Gargan as the Scorpion is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains. He'll do anything to kill Spider-Man, and that's pretty awesome.

His tail can shoot lasers and spray acid. That's pretty awesome.

Definitely one of Spider-Man's most dangerous foes.

She's not a villain that much anymore. She became an ally and helped Spider-Man to fight other villains such as The Kingpin.

Now she hates Spidey after what happened in one of the issues of Superior Spider-Man.

He's not necessarily a villain. But either way, my favorite character in comics.

Deadpool is the best! He should be in the top three!

Deadpool can kick ass! He is a laid-back supervillain who doesn't care.

Anti-Venom is awesome. After all, having his thing with Venom, he has shown that he is a very powerful villain in the Spider-Man Universe.

Eddie Brock should have stayed being Venom forever!

Martin Li was an awesome and interesting character in the game. I hope that they use him more in Marvel movies, games, or TV series.

This guy was so boss in the new game. He definitely needs a push to movies or TV shows. Avengers Endgame, Spider-Man Into the Multiverse, or a TV show like Punisher would be a great choice.

Lonnie Lincoln is such a badass. He broke Robbie Robertson's back with his bare hands.
