Favorite game show ever! Gene was the leader of that always great, star studded panel. His energy was infectious and you always felt better after watching the show than you did before it started.

Seemed like a genuinely nice guy who treated everyone with respect. Also had a quick wit and sly sense of humor. Adapted easily to every show he hosted.
This gentleman showed respect to the contestants and had a warm spontaneous humor plus intelligence -- compared to none other.

Sure, Americans may not know him that well unless they happened to have watched the short-lived "Bruce Forsyth's Hot Streak" in the mid-80s, but having seen some of his other shows online I have to say he's right up there with Mr. Barker, Mr. Trebek, Mr. Sajak, and Mr. Harvey.
