Top Ten Voice Actors

The Top Ten

1 Mel Blanc

Are you serious? He's Not here? He voiced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Woody Woodpecker, Yosemite Sam, Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin The Martian, Elmer Fudd, Coyote, Barney Rubble, Dino (Flinstones) Tweety Bird, Henery Hawk, Captain Caveman, Taz (Looney Tunes), Speedy Gonzalez and Many Many More! He's the greatest Voice Actor of All Time and you're telling me you people think that Patrick Warburton, an actor who uses the same voice like 10 times for 10 different characters is better than him? I don't think so.

There are many great voice actors here, but I'm really annoyed that Holly Hunter isn't on this list (she voiced Mrs. Incredible in the Incredibles). She was amazing and she sells every scene her character is in. She is also very devoted (she learned what all the airplane codes she said in the airplane scene meant). She should be on this list.

If we are talking sheer talent Mal Blanc deserves the #1 spot by a LONG shot! He wasn't just the god of voice acting, he was an incredible actor period! To bad his son Noel Blanc isn't higher on this list, very talented in his own right.

Why isn't this man number one? Seth Macfarlane above Blanc!?!? It really irks me that MacFarlane is extremely overrated. Yeah he voiced quite a few family guy characters and a couple American Dad characters. SO WHAT! That does not even compare to the many voices of Mel Blanc!

2 Tom Kenny Thomas James Kenny is an American actor and comedian known for his long-running role as the title character in the SpongeBob SquarePants TV series and films. Kenny has voiced many other characters including Heffer Wolfe in Rocko's Modern Life, the Ice King in Adventure Time, the Mayor in The Powerpuff ...read more.

" I'm known for being *Spongebob voice* Spongebob from Spongebob Squarepants! *Ice King voice* The Ice King from Adventure time! *Rocko voice* Rokko from Rocko's Modern Life! *Narrator voice* The Narrator from the Power Puff Girls. *Mayor voice* The MAYOR from the Power Puff Girls! Uhh... and just like... a couple hundred other characters.

SpongeBob from SpongeBob, Ice King from Adventure Time, The Mayor of Townsville from Powerpuff Girls, Heffer Wolfe from Rocko's Modern Life, Eduardo from FHFIF, etc. He has played some of the most iconic cartoon characters of the last 20 years. He's a modern legend.

Tom Kenny Grey DeLisle & John DiMaggio are by far the best voice actors ever & need to be at the top of this list. The people st the top of list only did 1 or 2 voice over's these people are legends. GO TOM!

Other then Mark Hamill, I can't think of anyone who deserves to be here. This guy has done so many amazing voices, and can fit into nearly every role.

3 Tara Strong Tara Strong is a Canadian–American actress who has done work in numerous films and television series, both live-action and animated.

So she's in My Little Pony and stupid Teen Titans Go. So what?

I don't hate My Little Pony, but I think that Tara's character is the worst one on the show because she has to be the main subject of everything! She's also pretty bossy and mean.

As for Raven... (sigh), what can I say? I would've been okay if you liked the one of the original Teen Titans, but I draw the line at this one! Raven used to be Tara's only decent and tolerable character, but now (thanks to this show) she's an unfunny, bitchy, moody, annoying, poor excuse of a goth! It's very sad really!

She is so talented and popular, not to mention her personality is kind and generous! She deserves to be this high up, if not higher! My personal favourite of her voices is twilight sparkle from my little pony friendship is magic! Keep going Tara!

Don't let the interviews fool you! In real life, she's a pig-headed, uptight, effortless snob who thinks she's better than 90% of the world. I found out in a Deviantart comment that when someone Tara, she paid no attention to him/her, and treated him/her like crap.

She's voiced Dill Pickles, Twilight Sparkle, Bat Girl, Timmy Turner, Ben 10, and TONS more voice acting, both background and straight up. She's one of the best voice actors of this decade!

4 Mark Hamill Mark Richard Hamill is an American actor and voice actor. He is best known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy – Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi and his portrayal of the Joker in Batman: the Animated Series.

this man is my favorite voice acter of all time. I mean, if you think about it, mark hamill did luke skywalker in the greatest film trilogy of all time (star wars) and it suprises me that he did characters in 4 scooby doo.

Ok, after this man played luke skywalker (not voice acting) he went on to play THE most recognizable, THE most famous and, might I say, THE best super villains of all time. He not only played the joker, he BECAME the joker. On the spur of the moment he can slip into character. And when he slips into character he doesn't bring him to life, no no, he TRANSFORMS into the joker. Has anyone seen this man as he works, slap makeup on that poor fellow and put HIM in the next reboot of batman- as the joker of course.

He voices the Joker, Skips, Stickybeard, skekTek and Larry 3000, and given amazing performances. His range and talent is incredible.

An absolutely fantastic voice actor, he is considered the definitive Joker voice, voiced fire lord Ozai in ATLA, Skips in regular show, and voiced malefor in the final legend of spyro game (although the voice is so distorted you can't really tell it's him), just to name a few! He truly is a legend in creating characters.

5 Dan Castellaneta

Seth Macfarlame can only do about 4 different voices - Peter, Stewie, Quagmire and then every other generic voice in family guy that all sound the same whereas Dan can do Homer Simpson, Grandpa Simpson, Barney Gumble, Krusty the Clown, Groundskeeper Willie, Hans Moleman Mayor Quimby and The Pimple faced teen now that's voice talent. And Seth Macfarlame is an unlikable jerk in real life

What the hell. How is this man, who voices tons of characters with different distinct voices behind Mark Hamil. He also is amazing in how is voice has held up after all his years on the Simpsons. Sure, being able to do Darty Vader is cool, just breathing ya know, but this guy can do it all.

What?! He does dozens of voices on the Simpsons including Homer, Krusty, and Grandpa. He also does the Robot Devil on Futurama. How is he possibly at number 24? How is he not number one?

Barney Gumble is more of a legend than Twilight Sparkle ever will be BURP!

6 Frank Welker Franklin Wendell Welker is an American voice actor best known for his role as Fred Jones from the Scooby-Doo franchise since its inception in 1969 and as the voice of Scooby-Doo since 2002. He is also known as the voice of Megatron in the Transformers franchise and as the voice and vocal effects of ...read more.

Fran Welker should be #2 to Mel Blanc. I mean, this man voiced both Winnie the Pooh and Megatron. This proves that his range is second only to Mel's.

Scooby Doo.
Megatron.
Garfield.
And pretty much every non-talking cartoon animal ever.
He voiced them all. Your argument is invalid.

No disrespect to Seth MacFarlane or James Earl Jones, but seeing them above Frank Welker on this list is just ridiculous.

He deserves to be over Tara Strong because he has a bigger range of voices compared to her.

7 Billy West William Richard Werstine, known professionally as Billy West, is an American voice actor, singer, comedian, musician, songwriter and former radio personality who is known for his voice-over work in a number of television series, films, video games and commercials.

Stimpy, Ren (after John K. left the show), Mr. Horse (again, after John K. left), Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg, Doug, Roger, Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, and Bashful. What else can I say? This guy rocks!

"Oh, joy! "
"Shut up and take my money! "
"Good news everyone! "

He definitely is better than Tara Strong.

Billy is number one

8 Seth Mcfarlane

He just isn't funny. Family guy is terrible but American Dad is unwatchable. Even his movie " a million ways to die in the west" was terrible it was like he was struggling for the audience to like him and he was just unlikable

Sexy, gorgeous voice, amazing singer, voiced Brian, Peter, and Stewie Griffin. Quagmire, Tom Tucker, Roger the Alien, Stan Smith, and tim the Bear. Not to mention random appearances on Robot Chicken

Stop being mean to this guy! He may not be the best, but at least he puts effort into his voices and he seems like a nice person! This seems more like someone who overhated than someone who is overrated.

He just isn't funny. American Dad is unwatchable! Family Guy isn't much better. And in his movie about the West he was struggling for people to like his character and failed

9 John DiMaggio John William DiMaggio is an American actor, voice actor and comedian, known for his gruff voice, and for his work as Bender from the television show Futurama, Jake the Dog on Adventure Time, and Marcus Fenix in the hit Xbox video game Gears of War.

John is awesome voice actor he voices of Bender from Futurama, Jake from Adventure Time, Dr. Drakken from Kim Possible and Rico from The Penguins of Madagascar.

He's just plain awesome. One of if not the best since 1997. Bender from Futurama, Jake from Adventure Time, Shnitzel from Chowder, dozens of video games. Oh yeah, and he's also the spokesperson for Booking.com commercials.

Favorite voice actor of all time. My favorite one of his roles was Marcus Fenix.

He also voice joker in batman under the red hood

10 James Earl Jones James Earl Jones is an American actor who in a career spanning more than 60 years has become known as "one of America's most distinguished and versatile" actors and "one of the greatest actors in American history." Since his Broadway debut in 1957, Jones has won many awards, including a Tony Award and ...read more.

Best voice ever. Didn't take me 2 seconds to realize he was playing Mufasa in the Lion King. It really made me sad when he died just because we would hear his epic low voice. And well, of course he voices the best villain in cinema, the one and only Darth Vader. He's just epic.

Very, very, very, very distinctive voice, and I'm a very big fan of Star Wars!

Once a stutterer like me, now famous for Darth Vader.

I stutter since I was 8 years old and I still stutter but it's great and I'm proud of his achievement and career especially when he's known for his dubbed voice of Darth Vader.

Wow! His voice is the most distinct I've ever heard!

The Contenders

11 Grey DeLisle Erin Grey Van Oosbree, credited as Grey DeLisle and Grey Griffin, is an American voice actress and singer-songwriter.

I grew up watching the shows she voiced major characters in: Avatar the Last Airbender, Fairly Oddparents, and the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy just to name a few.
Her voice was basically my childhood and I do believe people sell her short. Heck, some of the shows I saw on her wiki, I realized after the fact "Oh yeah! That was her! " She is able to breathe life into a character like few can.

She can play the nicest most innocent character in the form of Emily Elizabeth in Clifford the Big Red Dog.
Then she can play the most evil bat-crap crazy character in the form of Azula in Avatar: The Last Airbender.
A very talented voice actress that can literally play any character.

She deserves to be on this list more than anyone. She's practically voiced 100 characters every year. She can voice any character and make is probably offered a character in every good animated show.
She's been Azula, Vicky the babysitter, Catwoman, and thousands of others.

My favorite roles of hers are: Mandy, Frankie Foster, Duchess, Lola Loud, Lana Loud, Lily Loud, The Ice Queen, and Kitty Katswell.

12 Robin Williams Robin McLaurin Williams was an American actor and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, he is credited with leading San Francisco's comedy renaissance. He died in 2014.

All you guys sad he's dead. He ain't dead. He's just waiting for us to roll a 5 or 8.

If I would have met him, I'd bet that I would never have a friend like him!

He shouldn't be at 12 just for voicing Genie

He was such a good man, God bless his soul.

13 Trey Parker Randolph Severn "Trey" Parker III is an American animator, director, producer, screenwriter, actor, and composer.

Almost forget about Tuong Lu Kim, Scott Tenorman, Satan, and Gary and Kim Jong Il from Team America: World Police.

Pure Voice. He needs no character or animation to keep you attention. Just a subject and narration.

This guys could narrate an ant's life, and make me interested. Should be #1.

He is the best. His voice alone could win him an oscar.

My bucket list: Morgan Freeman to read my favorite book

16 Tress MacNeille Tress MacNeille is an American voice actress. She has voiced characters for various animated television series such as The Simpsons, Futurama, Tiny Toon Adventures, Rugrats, Animaniacs, and Disney's House of Mouse.

I think she should be higher than Tara Strong because she's doing voice over work way before she did, she does much better voices, and is in a lot of amazing shows!

She voiced Dot Warner, Babs Bunny, Hello Nurse, Gadget And Chip from Rescue Rangers, and a lot of simpsons and futrama charcters. Why wasn't she on the list before this?

Why is she lower than Tara Strong?!? She's been in Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures, for crying out loud!

She is the one who yells Seymour when playing Agnes Skinner, and I am grateful for that

17 Jim Cummings James Jonah "Jim" Cummings (born November 3, 1952) is an American voice actor and singer, who has appeared in almost 400 roles. He is known for voicing the title character from Darkwing Duck, Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog, Pete, Winnie the Pooh (since 1988), Tigger, Bonkers D. Bobcat and the ...read more.

Jim Cummings is not even in the top ten? Have you guys seen his resume? He has voiced Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Darkwing Duck, Scar from The Lion King, Peg Leg Pete, Negaduck, Ray the firefly, Steele from Balto, and many, many more. He's got a very wide range of voices and deserves to be in the top twenty because of that. Heck, he deserves to be in the top ten. Much more so than voice actors who use the same voice over and over again, like James Earl Jones and Morgan Freeman (both of which are great actors might I add).

Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pete, Darkwing Duck, Nega Duck, Cat, Ultra Lord, The Shredder (on some occasions), Leatherface, and the Tazmanian Devil. This man is just awesome!

24? Below the voice of Lincoln Loud? I love The Loud House, but that is straight up disrespectful to this voice acting legend.

He is Peg Leg Pete, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, the singing voice of Rasputant in "Anastasia", Ray in "The Princess and the Frog", and a lot more, He's amazing.

18 Kevin Michael Richardson Kevin Michael Richardson is an American actor and voice actor who has portrayed a multitude of characters in various animated series and video games. Deep booming voice. Trigon from Teen Titans. Dark Laser from Fairly Odd Parents. Mr. Gus from Uncle Grandpa.

Various characters from the Simpsons and Gravity Falls, the Joker and Chairman Drek

Does anyone notice that he kind of looks like Principal Lewis? That is just awesome!

19 Rodger Bumpass

His range and comic timing is incredible.

Squidward is legendary.

20 Rick Jones

He's Maurizio and Bubonic from 'Wunschpunsch', Zephir from 'Babar', Rotten Ralph, Speedy Cerviche from 'Samurai Pizza Cats' and Gwizdo and Hector from 'Dragon Hunters'. Jones has unbelievable range and talent.

21 Richard Steven Horvitz

Zim Billy, and Dagget!

22 Matt Stone

He voices Kyle from South Park

23 Samuel Vincent

He's voiced multiple characters in animated series's and animes.

He throws himself into his roles with a ton of honesty.

Edd (double d) in ed, edd, n eddy.

How the heck is this guy not higher? He voiced basically all of the characters from my childhood. He's voiced Double D (Edd), Baby Daffy, Baby Bugs Bunny, Baby Tweety, Krypto the Superdog, Martin Mystery, Russell Ferguson, Archie (COTT), and small parts in Sausage Party. This man is so talented, and also, he's kinda sexy.

24 Len Carlson

He was the voice of Pappy from 'Roly Poly Olie', Senator Kelly from 'X-Men', Minimus from 'Atomic Betty' and Bert from 'The Raccoons'. He had a great amount of vocal range and was wonderfully talented.

25 Rob Paulsen Robert Fredrick Paulsen III is an American voice actor and singer who has done many voice roles in various films, television shows, and video games.

He voiced Yakko Warner (Animaniacs), Otto Scratchansniff (also from Animaniacs), Carl Wheezer (Jimmy Nuetron), Pinky (Pinky and the Brain), and even the infamous Spongebob Squarepants rip-off character Coconut Fred from the hated
rip-off Coconut and his Fruit Salad Island. To say how much it was a rip-off and how much Rob Paulsen disliked the show, he even admitted that the show was just "a shameless Spongebob rip-off".

Considering he voiced Raphael on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Carl Wheezer on Jimmy Neutron, Fowlmouth and Arnold on Tiny Toons, Pinky on Pinky and the Brain, and his most notable role... Yakko from Animaniacs, one has to wonder why Rob Paulsen is so beloved among the voice acting fans and workers.

Rob is awesome! One of my most favorite voice artists (next to Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, Don Messick, June Foray, Tress MacNeille, Jim Henson, Bill Farmer, Frank Oz, Kath Souice, Dan Castellaneta, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Jim Cummings, Frank Welker, Jess Harnell, Charlie Adler, Dave Goelz, Pamela Adlon, and many more)!

My most favorite roles of his are Yakko Warner, Pinky, Carl Wheezer, Dr. Scratchnsniff, Fowlmouth, Silverbeak, Raphael, and Donatello.

He certainly deserves to be on the top 10 spot!

You just named all the characters in that he voices which is the reason he is beloved among voice acting fans and workers. He is a great voice actor. Not the greatest but certainly not the worst.
