I had meningitis this year and it sucked. I was in the middle of class and out of no where I had a horrible headache when I got home that evening and passed out. I woke up around 7-8 and it was even worse then before. I told my mom and she said it would only last that night. That night I started throwing up non stop for about 30 minutes. I was screaming and in so much pain. My mom came in took my temperature and it was 102. It happened over and over again all night. The next morning she took me to the doctors and they found that I had meningitis and rushed me to the hospital I was in there for hours they put 3 medicines into my veins I had an iv in for about 2-3 hours. When we got home I was in so much pain I couldn't stand it I had to stay home from school till that next Monday. But still after like 4 months of having it I still get the symptoms which they said is going to last a very long time. If I hadn't had gone to the hospital I could have had brain damage, lost a leg or an arm, ...more
