Top 10 Topics that Should No Longer Be Glorified or Romanticized in Songs
It seems like artists just can't get enough of these lyrics and it's kind of a problem because it can drive some people to make bad decisions.It's really sad that so many rappers make everything from drugs to violence into a "cool" thing.
Nowadays, most rap songs glorify drug use and children look up to these toxic rappers.
Violence doesn't solve problems, period end of story!
Eminem songs can be apply to a lot of these.
Personally I think some of these topics can work at times but not this one.
Why do some singers and songwriters like to be emotionally abused? Lyrics such as "you're a liar but I love it" or "I like bad boys/girls" just give people a bad image of relationships.
A lot of pop or rap songs are about money, cars, big mansions and parties. I wouldn't want kids to think that these things are what's most important in life, because it's not.
Agreed, these definitely should not be glorified, but unfortunately, some songs glorifying this actually exists.
One rapper comes to my mind when I think of this.
Some rappers actually rap about crimes they committed. Not very smart.
Lyrics like this will have children thinking that it's okay to be obsessed with somebody or to not be able to get over someone who broke your heart or rejected you.
