As the characters aged and more filming needed to be done on location, costs went too high, so the series ended despite good ratings and great critical acclaim.
The good news is that the legal issues with the soundtrack have FINALLY been rectified, and the original episodes will be re-released.

My favourite show, but to be honest I'm not sure what the next season would've been. I know one event that would've happened, but other than that I don't think they could've stretched this one out much longer. It's practically perfect as is.
