God awful stereotypes about animals and more. The villainous trio; Janja, Chungu and Cheezi, are spotted hyenas again. The hero, Kion, is awful, looks too muscular for his young age, and a big bully who banishes certain animals into the "Outlands" where they starve for no reason. The hero's sidekick, Bunga, is nothing more than a honey badger version of Scrappy Doo and is annoying and just plain terrible. The cheetah, Fuli, is a Rainbow Dash ripoff. The strong guy, Beshte, is a hippopotamus and possibly a ripoff of Sly Cooper's Murray. The bird, Ono, is a ripoff of both Reyson from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Petrie from The Land Before Time. Also, the villains are always animals that are typically stereotyped as villains, and the heroes are always animals that are typically stereotyped as heroes in pop culture. Where the heck have I seen this before? Ahem...
