Most episodes of the nine season series were filmed in front of a live studio audience, with few exceptions.

I tried to like this show many times, but I never could understand what people saw in it. The only thing I can think of is that it was very shocking during that time, but not funny. If this show had come out today it wouldn't seem shocking at all. It's also hard when none of the characters are exactly likable.
