Top Ten Twenty One Pilots Songs with the Best Lyrics

The Top Ten

1 Migraine

I actually love rapping this song a lot because of the lyrics. And because I always have headaches. But mostly the lyrics. - AnonymousChick

I am extremely glad that this song is at #1. It is the best song ever lyric wise, and it is one of the few songs that I’ve cried while listening to. However, no song is perfect, so I do have some criticism. I really don’t like the fact that the metaphor is given away in the first verse. I mean, they specifically say it! On the other hand, I guess it’s a good thing that people can’t make up meanings, because it directly says what the song is about. - saturatedsunrise

Easily their best song lyrically. So many damn good ones.
"Sometimes death seems better than the migraine in my head"
"That Pandorica's Box contents look non violent"
"Behind my eyelids are islands of violence"
"Cause sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind" - Mr_Awesome

2 Guns for Hands

It's about sucide and depression.
'Obviously best for them to turn their guns into a fist.' - AnonymousChick

3 Car Radio

A story that's just too relatable about music drowning out the painful thoughts.
'sometimes quiet is violent' - AnonymousChick

4 Holding On to You
5 Stressed Out
6 Tear In My Heart

One of the best love songs in the 2010's
'my taste in music is your face'
'You fell asleep in my car I drove the whole time trying to avoid the holes so you'll sleep fine' - AnonymousChick

7 Ode to Sleep
8 Ride
9 Heathens

Major twenty one pilots fan - Selfiefan68

10 Heavydirtysoul

The Contenders

11 Lane Boy

Why 18? No 8, just #1. Lane Boy should be...#1. It's true, in the industry, it seems to me that singles on the radio are currency. Lane Boy (and all of TOP's other songs) are better than the singles on the radio.

12 Taxi Cab
13 House of Gold
14 Forest
15 Goner
16 The Judge
17 Kitchen Sink

Although in the song, it says that the song won’t mean the same thing to everyone, but I do have a theory about it. You know the expression “everything but the kitchen sink? ” Well, I feel like the lyric “I’m a kitchen sink” is about being left out. If that’s the case, that’s an excellent metaphor, and also a good lyric! - saturatedsunrise

18 Cancer
19 Fairly Local
20 We Don't Believe What's on TV

Great song

21 Message Man

These lyrics aren’t for everyone, only few understand. - saturatedsunrise
