Most Underrated Animated Movies of 2017

Philip873 made the list of most overrated animations of the year so I decided to make the list of most underrated animations of the year.

1 Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie

This is is so underrated! It was a great movie which has funny cahracteres, simple but good animation. And honestly the bathroom humour wasn't that bad, comparing to Boss Baby's bathroom humour, this movie's humour look like The Godfather, you know what I mean.

It's overrated in my opinion, it's not as terrible as The Emoji Movie, but in my opinion, this film was the second worst animated movie of 2017, no offense to the people who liked it, and I do understand why people like it.

I'd agree with this for nostalgic reasons

2 Smurfs: The Lost Village

THIS MOVIE IS THE BEST IN THE FRANCHISE. SMURFETTE IS SUCH A LIKABLE CHARACTER, THE ANIMATION IS BEAUTIFUL, AND IT IS SO ADORABLE SEEING SMURFETTE MEETING MORE FEMALE SMURFS. IT SHARES AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE THAT YOU SHOULDN'T JUDGE A BOOk BY ITS COVER, AND THAT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS THINK TWICE ABOUT WHAT YOU HEAR. GREAT MOVIE.

I haven't watched it but god how underrated! Sony movies are known for being very overrated, but that's not the case with this one.

Smurfs: The Lost Village is hilarious, sweet, nostalgic and underrated. Definitely 1,987,456,547,448 times better than THE EMOJI MOVIE.

3 My Little Pony: The Movie

Its pretty sad how there was plenty of effort put into this, yet nobody, outside the fandom, seemed to care. It deserves way more attention and money than The Emoji Movie!

No, not underrated. This movie deserved the backlash it got, as a casual MLP fan I say this film was horrible and there is no redeeming qualities to it at all.

Barely few people went to watch this movie.

4 Batman vs. Two-Face

5 Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

6 The Emoji Movie

Now a lot of people believe that I like this movie because I had it on the list, first off, just because it's underrated it dosen't mean it's good, second off, I needed more entries, third off I hate this movie so much I wish Sony had made Hotel Transylvania 3 instead.

It sometimes feels that I'm the only person who adores this masterpiece...i comfort myself by telling myself the others are blind and ignorant.

I actually liked this movie. It shouldn't get that much hate!

7 The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature

At least this is underrated for a good reason, the first was horrible, this had a higher rotten tomatoes score but that's not saying much.

8 Batman and Harley Quinn

9 Rock Dog

How this got rated higher than Smurfs, I'll never know.

Never heard anything about it

10 Despicable Me 3

As Philip873 said, it varies in the world where this movie is overrated or underrated, in the USA there is many merchandise, while here in Europe (Or in Sweden at least), this movie is literally forgotten in the shadows. It dosen't either help this is the second most overhated movie of the year.
