I think the dumbed down mass produced music of the last 20 years is at fault.
Many of Jackie's fans are older, because experience and memory of truly beautiful music gives a better appreciation of her amazing gift.
Why isn't Jackie on the radio every day?
She has millions of fans, and would have billions if the industry put music first and dollars second.
Not just hype... The real deal. Beautiful voice just gets better every year.
She could be the next Judy Garland, because even when she was a young child, her singing voice was at an adult level.
2 Owl City
Owl City is an American Synthpop/Electronica project created in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota; it is the most successful of several projects by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adam Young. I think, with this in number one, you should retitle it "overrated". Which Owl City most certainly is. Apparently it's an experimental electronic music project. Gets gullible fans out like meerkats. My verdict: it's ruining electronic music. Well, of course, I never said Owl City's not unique. No way. Owl City is unique in the way that he blends One Direction-reminiscent qualities which crush the Kraftwerk like soul within this music, and making it about as moving and pure-sounding as a parrot choking on a vindaloo. So, face it, the experiment proved to have had a negative result. Try electronic music that has more point, more soul and more sane fans to it. Owlers are electronic Beliebers. End of story.
PositronWildhawk, you are OBVIOUSLY some kind of Nicki Minaj/Lil' Wayne/Miley Cyrus/Soulja Boy fan, because the only people who have a hatred for Owl City are fans of those singers and rappers I just mentioned that YOU like and personally want to be like when you're older. Anyway, moving on now, Jackie up there is NOT underrated, because I see her name on EVERY list. Owl City are amazing and absolutely underrated and NEED to be number 1.
Nice comment, PositronWildhawk, but although your way of pulling down is quite admirable, your dislikes for highly-elaborated songs is evident. You let know through your words how influenced you are by musical patterns you're used to hear. Owl City is different, for it's particularly charged with completely new sounds and figures, that may be why you can't like it's music until you've listened to it several times. Personally, I hated deeply Vanilla Twilight, for it has not even chorus. But when I gave it another opportunities I learned to love it. It's quite a pity that you just criticize instead of trying to look at the same thing with different eyes.
Well PositronWildhawk, have you listened to Owl City lately or/and researched him. Do you think Owl City's rubbish when he has friends such as Matt Theissen (Lead singer of Relient K) and worked with legends such as Mark Hoppus from Blink 182.
Do you really think Owl City is rubbish? Well even if you still believe he is, can you please keep your opinions to yourself, there are a lot of people who think Adam Young (Owl City) is one of the best and when they read comments like yours they go crazy (i. E me, when I first read it)
