Most Underrated Dog Breeds
They're pretty cool. I'd rather see them on my street
I owned one of these fur babies and she was the best thing I ever had. If people could stop texting while driving she would still be here with me today 😔
I owned an Australian Cattle Dog and she passed away this summer, but she was the sweetest most gentle dog of all time, she wouldn't hurt a fly
My favorite type of dog but they're usually really low on most of the other lists
Every time I see one I immediately run up to it. So cute!
My friend had three of these when I was growing up and they were absolute angels. There names where Ami, Ali, and Oli, and they were adorable little pups.
My Akita is actually half Australian Shepherd. She is the most beautiful and best natured dog. Very intelligent. Takes to routine effortlessly. And lets us know if we're not following routines as scheduled. She is also big and very powerful. I would hate to see an Akita that someone trained to be mean or vicious! She is quick and unrelenting during play. If she were trained to attack... it would be very bad for the attackee.
I have had a border terrier for the past 13 years and I could not have asked for a better pet/companion. Now a geriatric dog, I have expected her to be less tolerable of little children and younger dogs but I am happy to be disproved every time she encounters either. Also, maintenence is incredibly low if you choose not to strip it's fur. At her old age she is still playful and yearns to please her master at every turn.
I have two cross breeds with Border and Norfolk Terriers. They're both really playful and loveable. One of them loves company with humans and is just plain modest and calm; the other is calm yet protective.
I own a Border Terrier and he is
one of the smartest and
strongest dog I know.
My Border Terrier is very chill
and very friendly but has a great
sense of danger
I love the Canaan dog!
If you are reading this and you do not know what a Canaan dog is, look it up right now.
I love them!
That picture is adorable!
Not so much underrated in terms of popularity or acknowledgement... But the APBT is the definition of the underdog story... They face real discrimination, all for things that are completely out of their control. The poster dog for breed specific legislation... every time one of these dogs make it to a loving home, it could justifiably be hailed a "one in a million" story... Sad. One of the most important breeds of dog to humans both past and present. My best buddy is a GSD, but I also have a friend with an APBT. She has a tattoo to remind everybody "who rescued who". She considers her APBT the single reason she didn't pull the trigger with a barrel in her mouth. She's been abused, survived cancer, she's tough... But even she needed somebody to show her that she was their world at a time when she felt she had no purpose... That somebody was an APBT named Tyson she rescued from a shelter. The happy endings this breed brings to so many gets overlooked because of the ...more
Rescued our American pitbull terrier from the pound as a puppy about a year ago. Her and my almost 2 year old daughter are crazy about each other! Don't let their falsified public image turn you away.
I've had my pit for 3 years.. By far the most kid friendly pet I've ever had.
Awesome dogs
My girl is a sweetie! She is so loyal, but so friendly to others! Like the comment below "There are no words to express" Whoever said that is totally right. If you get one, you won't regret it. If you take care of that dog, it will love you and you will love your newf more than any dog in the world. My Newfoundland means so much to me.
Enormous water-loving loveable creatures that stick to you for life. They have the strength to pull boats and the determination not to turn down a stick. Great around cats, kids and unbelievably playful.
Most people I know don't even know about Newfies! They're such angels! They're good with kids, loving, and gentle.
There is no words to express - I love my New Foundland Dog. She is a sweetheart thru and thru
Part Newfoundland, Part Airdale Terrier, Part Rottweiler. I have a nine month old Russian Black; she's playful, friendly and protective. I also have cats that she could snap in her jaws, but she defends them and is really gentle with them. Huge and loveable, and unlike similar dogs, they seldom drool or shed fur. Ideal.
I love my Russian Black. She's an amazing companion and I'm certain that will be so for the rest of her time.
Best dog I have had. had all kinds of breeds. this dog was so good and smart. also very protective of my child. I taught him to get used to my child playing hide and seek. my daughter had the bone to give when he found her. at first it was just two rooms. but then moved it around the entire house and garage. he would always find her. and she wandered off once or twice outside and he found her then too. I would say check out wheaten welcome because it is hard to stop them from jumping up on friends. but they seem to know if it is someone who should not be welcome and will be protective too. best they are non-sheders. but you will have to have them bathed and groomed. I took care of mine once a month.
Sweetest dogs I've ever met
My old dog was half this half poodle and she was such a lovely angel
Apart from a lot of drool, what's to dislike about them?! Strong, energetic, playful and loves you a lot!
Glorious dogs!
The small furry bushbaby of a dog that you can and want to fit in your pocket. They love any game you can throw at them. Something you can't put your finger on about them you just love.
The Pekingese deserve a second chance
Rottweiler are good dogs. We had an Rottweiler an we didn't train him and he still protected the house. They are great companions and are great with kids even from they're big size. They are a great dog and they are somewhat intel legacy. It is very ignorant how they say they attack everyone. That is not true because I even got attacked by a chihuahua and they are known for being tiny. I hope Rottweiler are more respected in society
We have a Rottweiler and a Chihuahua. The Chihuahua barks at our Rottweiler and he backs off from the Chihuahua. Our Rottweiler loves our cat. I believe that they got bad rep from some owners that mistreated their dog. He is my big lap dog.
The sweetest dogs ever!
The English Cocker Spaniel is awesome and well known for its loyalty and playfulness. The American Cocker Spaniel is a lot like that. Smaller and shorter-living, but more lively and more playful. And once you stare into the eyes of a puppy, you desperately want one.
Hardly anybody knows this breed but let me tell you I got one and it's the best breed! Go Google it up..
My Belgian terveruns are the best. My family and I have definitely found our favorite breed
These beautiful big white dogs need more love! It's my favorite breed by far!
Yeah of course! 22?! I rarely even hear one person mention it except for me
