Top Ten Underrated Dystopian Books

The Top Ten
1 Fahrenheit 451

Although I DO agree that this is underrated, I finished it a couple of days ago and can understand Clarisse McClellan's death seems like a sort of cruel way to make a climax. I'd come to enjoy her as much as Guy Montag did.

2 Unwind - Neal Shusterman

So...Unwind actually feels original, unlike a couple of these books *cough cough* Divergent and The Hunger Games. The characters are lovable, with a few exceptions, and if you read the book, you know who I'm talking about.

3 Unwholly - Neal Shusterman
4 Undivided - Neal Shusterman
5 Incarceron - Catherine Fisher

Incarceron is awesome. If you ever get the chance to read it, DO IT. Depending on your age, this may or may not be too complicated for you. I'd say it's a book for people who are at least freshmen in high school.

6 Sapphique - Catherine Fisher
7 Divergent

Actually way too overrated.

8 The Giver - Lois Lowry

Classic dystopian book. I finished this the other day. It's kind of weird, but it's totally tame compared to Incarceron. (Also, this cover makes the Giver look like Charles Darwin. Back in middle school, I even put DARWIN on his forehead. I plan to erase that.

9 1984
10 Unsouled - Neal Shusterman
The Contenders
11 The Hunger Games

That was a good book.

12 Animal Farm
13 Blade Runner
14 Soylent Green
15 The Matrix
16 Unbound - Neal Shusterman
17 Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Underrated. This book is famous!

18 A Clockwork Orange
19 Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard
20 Lord of the Flies
21 Matched - Ally Condie
