Most Underrated Fairy Tail Characters
Jellal Fernandes is a childhood friend of Erza Scarlet. When he lost his own memory, he was a Dark Mage who desperately sought to revive Zeref via the R-System. Jellal served as the main antagonist of the Tower of Heaven arc and is currently a member and co-founder of Crime Sorcière. Jellal is disgustingly overrated, him being at the top of this list just makes it more of a fact. He is only liked because of his looks and because Erza wants to bang him. The amount of fangirls saying that he is in The Top 10 Strongest Characters or one of the most important characters is insulting. He has barely done something to the plot, he is boring and bland and only stays relevant because of Erza. Hard to accept it but it's the truth, open your eyes people, you can like him yeah sure but come on there's a limit to your bias.
Probably the cleverEST antagonist during the series, had been exploited a lot, especially while fighting against Jura. We just see nothing about his magic but a piece of star. I would expected a "Jellal Shinden" arc in order to let him gain on the rest. Jellal is one of the side-characters to be up for protagonist. He should have been remembered as "Jellal the Saint", not "Erza's crush". He might be an extremely popular character among fans; however, his apperance was TOO FEW. Poor Mashima -_-
By the way, I personnaly ship him with Kagura. I don't explain my reason here because it is not the place to disguss it.
This just goes to show that the entire fanbase is deep-throating Jellal... Those idiots don't even realize that Jellal is just a cheap knock-off of Luke Castellan.

Juvia Lockser is a Fairy Tail Mage . When Juvia was young she was abandoned by her parents because she was followed by the rain . She was one of Phantom Lord's S-class mages and one of Element Four members. I personally believe that she might be more powerful than Gray at the time she first joined Fairy Tail ( Gray's the obvious stronger one now though ). Many people forgot that she was a S-class mage and just think that she's Gray's stalker, but Juvia's more than that. She's a really kind-hearted girl and deeply cares for her friends.
Juvia is not underrated. I would say she's more overrated than underrated. She did convince Meredy to not kill herself and killed Keyes, one of Nine Demon Gates of Tartaros, but that's pretty much it.

It seems like the entire Crime Sorcière cast is underrated actually. The members are all badasses, but they get almost no screentime at all, with the exception of maybe Jellal and Ultear.
Though she's the oldest member and leader of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, not unlike Jellal, there's always something interfering whenever she fights, for example when she was fighting Gray, she found out the truth about her mother, got emotional and was beaten immediately, then people start saying that Gray's more powerful than her, which is wrong because Ultear's stronger at the time and I believe that she's on par with Erza ( I know that current Gray is stronger, but when they fought, Ultear was ).
I would pick laxus but they didn't even include him in the list but freed is just as underrated in my opinion, the best characters are always ignored in my opinion laxus freed gildarts romeo elfman, like them far more than erza natsu lucy for me and deserved a lot more screen time. so many fantastic characters getting wasted it really is painful

I'm surprised that she's not first. She's rarely talked about or seen. She's actually the best fairy tail female in my opinion.

Literally the most underrated character in fairy tail.
Right now, she's much stronger than Erza. Come on, she's Gray's and Lyon's master after all... Jellal himself stated that she would be one of the Ten Wizard Saints had she not died. Her Historia self ( much weaker than your herself ) was still able to handle both Gray and Lyon together with ease.
She's not strong, but she's not that weak either. Many people seem to imply that she's a no good character and is a complete fodder in combat. Furthermore, Lisanna gets a lot of baseless hates, mostly from NaLu supporters. I think she's a very sweet and nice girl, her character isn't that significant, but she's not a bad character.
I personally think people always hate Lisanna for all the wrong reasons. People often hate her because she loves natsu. Is it really a crime to have a crush? Don't get me wrong I ship NaLu. But still, shouldn't people be more worried about Gray stealing Lucy? GrayLu is a way bigger thing than NaLi ever was.
Just because you prefer Nalu doesn't mean you should leave a great character with one of the best stories in the show behind!

Lucy is one of the smartest characters in the manga/anime Fairy Tail. It has been shown that Lucy has figured out most of the arcs mysteries like the Starry Sky arc. Hiro never really gives her a break. She's always used as fanservice, and that's all people really see her for instead of her magic. Both Gray and Rogue are very underrated.People when making top strongest lists are putting Lucy higher than Rogue,or Gray lower than Erza.And Gray is stronger than both Erza and Jellal I don't care about you fanboys.That guy was tied with half power E.N.D and he almost defeated Zeref but Natsu stop him.
If zeref didn't kill him He Would of surpassed lots of characters because of 7 years of Training and ultear could of gave him his origin thingy which would make him op it took mokorov and natsu to beat him and it was a close battle and he's a Badass
