Top Ten Most Underrated and Overly Hated Animes and Cartoons

The Top Ten
1 Dragon Ball Super Dragon Ball Super is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that began airing on July 5, 2015. It is a sequel show to the Dragon Ball manga and the first Dragon Ball television series featuring a new storyline in 18 years.

Fans tend to expect it to be as great as Dragon Ball Z, so when it turned out not as good, they will be really disappointed. Super is certainly much worse than the original and Z but it's not that bad a show on its own. I've enjoyed it quite a lot.

Super is such a bad anime. Super Saiyan God is a copy of Kaio-ken, Golden Frieza is just Golden Cooler, Black Goku is Turles with an update that lets him go Super Saiyan Pink, Kale is obviously female Broly, Cabba is Tarble, Botamo is Misokatsun, Zamasu is evil Supreme Kai, Champa is Beerus (but less annoying), Vados is Whis, Hit is based on Piccolo since they jokingly say they look similar to one an other, Auta Magetta is Olong's robot transformation, Frost is literally Frieza and just because they say he's the other universe Frieza that makes it okay to be lazy. Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is literly a blue haired and eyed Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan Pink is just a pink haired and eye Super Saiyan and Ultra Instinct is just False Super Saiyan.Character wise is not much better. Goku was fighting Botamo and was having a bit of trouble but then Vegeta shouts "use your head" which Goku takes as literaly using your head and continues to attack Botamo with his head which is ...more

Everywhere I go, people are hating on this T.V. Show for the same reason. The cancerous hatebase for theis T.V. Show seriously needs to stop immediately. Its bad enough that they focus only on the bad qualities of the show and also pretend that the good ones don't exist, but, well, guess what? they hate on people for liking it too. Especially on this site. I baffles me that this is number 2 on the lis tof most overrated animes when almost nobody likes it.

You say adults like this show too? So what? maybe they watch grownup shows as well. I watch Pokemon, and, well, guess what? I watch older shows too.

The main problem that this show has is plot progression. They nerf ash at the start of every single series in order to start over again. HOWEVER: Each series has a whole has an amazing story of Ash's growth. Especially DP and XY/XYZ.

So what if Ash has never won the league? if a football team loses the super bowl, does that not erase the fact that it was impressive ...more

I wouldn't say that Pokemon is underrated. As a matter of fact, it's quite overrated in my opinion.

3 Digimon “Digimon” is a term commonly used to describe a variety of Japanese anime series based on the Bandai virtual pet brand “Digimon” (Dejimon). As of 2017, there are 7 series: “Digimon Adventure” (1999), “Digimon 02” (a.k.a. “Digimon Adventure 02”) (2000), “Digimon Tamers” (2001), ...read more.

I prefer Poke over Digi, but that list on why Pokemon is better than Digimon is bothering me.

4 Sword Art Online Sword Art Online is a series of Japanese light novels written by Reki Kawahara and illustrated by abec. In 2012, it received an anime adaptation produced by A-1 Pictures and the SAO Project, and is directed by Tomohiko Ito . The first season is divided into two arcs known as "Aincrad" and "Fairy Dance". It has also received a second season, titled Sword Art Online II.

Considering how much hate Sword Art Online gets nowadays, I hardly believe it should be considered overrated. That, or maybe it's both overrated and overhated. Seriously, this is the number 1 anime that gets too much hate. The fandom doesn't even look that bad in comparison to the SJW-like hatedom.

It's the same deal as pokemonL focus on the bad stuff, pretend the good stuff does not exist. My main problem with sao is the overdone romance and perverted characters. aside from that it is good. Just watch phantom bullet and aincrad.

5 Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. Dragon Ball Z teaches valuable character virtues such as teamwork, loyalty, and trustworthiness.

Dragon Ball Z is my favourite anime. I would say that it's both overrated and overhated at the same time.

I know that it is popular, but it seems to be hated on by more and more new anime fans every day.

The fanbaseof Dragon Ball Z isn't even that bad. You guys are only focusing on one small part of it.

Oh yeah so Good

6 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

So extremely overrated... Like seriously, I mean that this show gets lots of love than others.

More people should watch this show in my opinion.

The anti-woke gamers are now against that show.

7 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic ...read more.

Its not a simpsons ripoff. Same concept, but the styles overall are very different. Family Guy is far more vulgar and obnoxious by comparison.

The only reason why I dislike GT is that because it ruined every character save for Goku and Vegeta. Other than that, GT still has many strong points despite a few drawbacks, like plot holes, for example.

Dragon Ball GT is so much better than Super.

12 Johnny Test Johnny Test is an American-Canadian animated television series produced by Warner Bros. Animation, for the first season, and Cookie Jar, for the remainder of the series.
