Most Underrated Tony Hawk Levels

Ah yes, another Tony Hawk list. I talked about the worst TH levels. So now it’s time to talk about some of the most underrated levels in the Tony Hawk games. These are levels I feel like don’t get talked about a lot. So here’s the list.

The Top Ten

1 Streets - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater

Gotta love this skate park

This is my pick for the most underrated Tony Hawk level. Might seem like a weird choice to some, since a lot of people aren’t a huge fan of this level. But I personally think it’s pretty good. Streets is inspired by some of the most iconic locations in San Francisco California. Such as Lombard Street, China Town, Vaillancourt Fountain, and others. Although San Francisco from Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 is better, I still enjoyed this level. Layout it weird though, I’ll say that. Also, this is the only Tony Hawk level that hasn’t been remade in any of the other Tony Hawk games besides Pro Skater 2X which includes all the levels from Pro Skater 1.

2 Tampa Skate Park - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2X

Now here’s a good bonus level from Pro Skater 2X. Tampa Skate Park is a competition level. And it’s quite a lot of fun. There’s a wide open vert section outside the level, lot’s of rails and ramps inside the level, and even a daunting loop to top it off. It’s also home to the very mysterious dog watching TV Easter Egg. This is one of my favorite competition levels in the Tony Hawk series. Also fun fact. The inside of Tampa Skatepark was re-used in the Tampa level in Tony Hawk’s Underground.

3 Santa Cruz - Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Remix

I actually haven’t played THUG2 Remix yet. But judging on the gameplay I’ve seen, it looks like a solid PSP port. However, this level was featured in Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland’s classic mode. It’s a pretty fun level. You can get some pretty sweet combos here. And it resembles Santa Cruz really well. The only downside to the American Wasteland version is that it doesn’t have the theme park and arcade area. While I heard that the Underground 2 Remix version had the theme park and arcade. Aw well, still a fun level.

4 Kyoto - Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Remix

Another level from THUG 2 Remix. But guess what? This level is in Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland’s classic mode. And yes, I’ve played it. And it’s a pretty fun level. This is definitely a sweet place for combos, plus in the THUG 2 Remix version of the level, you can summon a giant monster named MegaBeast Zero to destroy the level. Cool beans.

5 Skater Island - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3

At first it feels like a standard skateboard level, but once knowing where a secret was it makes the level a bit more interesting once you hit outside a pirate ship. One of my more favorite levels in the game.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 has a ton of memorable levels. Levels like Airport, Los Angeles, Cruise Ship, Canada, and many other levels are some of the best in the series. However, one level from Pro Skater 3 seems like it doesn’t get talked about a lot. And that level is Skater Island. Skater Island is the second competition level, and it’s based on the skatepark of the same name in Rhode Island. There are lot’s of ramps, rails, and bowls in the level. Perfect for some sick combos. Plus, there’s a pirate ship outside the level. How cool is that?

6 The Sewers - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4

This level comes from the PS1 version of Pro Skater 4. Quite surprised with this level. It’s actually well designed. Lot’s of ramps and rails. And everything in the level isn’t crammed, and there’s plenty of room to skate. This is a really fun level. I don’t know why a lot of people talk about this one. Maybe it’s because it comes from ten last gen version of Pro Skater 4.

7 NY City - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 has the most memorable levels in the series. But why don’t a lot of people talk about NY City? At first, I didn’t really like this level. But after playing this level multiple times in the career mode, it started to grow on me. This level is famous for the giant Statue you can grind on. And the famous subway rails you can grind on and even fall off on. And we can’t forget those taxis. This level is a classic. I don’t know why a lot of people talk about it much.

8 Kona Skatepark - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4

Kona Skatepark is inspired by the real Kona Skatepark in Jacksonville Florida. I heard that some people don’t like this level. Don’t know why, cause this level is actually pretty solid. It has some pretty great challenges. And even though that Snake Run challenge was a little annoying, I still had fun with the challenge. So yeah, this level is actually pretty fun. Don’t know why people hate it cause this level is one of my favorites.

9 Construction Site - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2X

Another Pro Skater 2X level. This time we have the construction site. Another bonus level that actually didn’t suck in the game. Construction Site is a lot of fun. Getting to the top of the building can be a little tricky, but it’s a lot of fun to do. And there’s a few ramps, rails, and even a bowl at the bottom of the level. Honestly this is a very fun level. And it’s well designed too.

10 Metro - Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is the most underrated TH game. It was overshadowed by Skate. And I actually prefer this Tony Hawk game over Underground 2, American Wasteland, and Project 8. Anyways, the Metro level is pretty fun. This place is really sweet if you wanna get a good combo or just to do some grind tricks. Now this is a good Subway level. Definitely better than the Subway level from Pro Skater 2X.
