Top Ten Undertale Characters You Would Feel Guilty Killing
Undertale is an amazing game, and one of its amazing qualities is its cast of characters. You also have the option to spare them all somehow. These are the ones I'd have trouble NOT sparing. I'm not counting Napstablook because you can't actually kill him.
Papyrus is a character from the 2015 game Undertale, made by Toby Fox. He is the Younger brother of Sans the skeleton, royal guard in training, and a sentry in the town of Snowdin. Opposite to his brother, papyrus is active, loud, and full of himself; but in an endearing way. Papyrus means to become a full-fledged member of the guard by capturing a human to please his superior. A lover of puzzles and spaghetti, Papyrus provides much of the games comic relief and is a key character in the plot of the game. He still believes in you, even when you mercilessly decapitate him. Think about this, would you like to be mercilessly decapitated? No? That's what I thought. This is why I can never to genocide. I didn't spare him in pacifist, and I saw what happened. I cried for an hour. He is the key of the game. You decapitate him, sans is coming for you.
Papyrus is my favorite character in the game, so that in itself makes him a bit difficult to hurt. He also believes that, even in a Genocide Run, you can change and become a better person. It shouldn't be a big surprise that he and Toriel topped the list, because most of the fanbase seems to agree with me on that.
Not only is he adorable and the main comic relief of the game, he starts out egotistical and remains so, but you can see why. When you kill him in a genocide though... It always gives me the shivers. He still believes that you can do better, you can change, even while you're killing everyone he's ever known.

I don't know if it's been stated before, but YOU CAN'T KILL PAPYRUS ON ACSIDENT. ALWAYS ON PURPOSE. I abandoned my Genocide run because I had a ton of guilt killing Goat mom, and didn't want to feel it 10 times worse when killing this little cinnamon roll.
Toriel is a goat like monster who is the secondary major character in Toby Fox's 2016 RPG, Undertale. Heck, her battle theme is called "Heartache"! I've seen Let's Play gamers kill her and instantly regret it. I teared up the first time I had the goodbye with her AND when I got to her fight on Genocide.
When you kill toriel she still loves you when I killed her I cried.She wants you to be good. She uses kind words Ben when you tried to leave fighter her and she still loves you. *silence*...That's Just sad!
Undyne is a main character in Toby Fox's 2015 RPG, Undertale. She is the heroic fishlike captain of the Royal Guard, who takes it upon herself to protect the monsters of the Underground. Her name is derived from the word "Undine", and is a pun on the word "Undying". Her most loved monsters are her mentor, King Asgore, her best friend, Papyrus, and her love interest, Alphys. Her death in all 3 modes is gut-wrenching. In Pacifist, you constantly take away her regenerating health, and in Genocide, you've just killed the only person strong enough to stand a chance against you at that point. Think about that, k?
I just saw her Neutral fight. Her death was heartbreaking to watch as she screams that she won't die. It's a lot worse than Genocide.
Sans or Sans the Skeleton is a character in the 2015 RPG Undertale created by Toby Fox. He is known for his incredibly difficult ...read more. After killing him, he says the saddest dialogue in every timeline: "Papyrus, what are you doing here? " Or something like that. Point is, I literally cried after the whole genocide run once I killed sans. That changed my life to see his normally happy personality break, showing his depressed, angry side. I no longer am the person I was after that fight, and I never want to be. It was truly sad.
Sans is-SPOILER ALERT- the final boss of a Genocide route. His death is pretty sad, but what gets him so high on the list is that you've also got the guilt of killing all other enemies before him. His fight is awesome, but it's also guilt-inducing.
Sans is a really hard boss to beat, so if you're battling Sans or almost about to battle Sans, as Sans would say, you're going to have a bad time.
Although some people are glad to finally be finished with him after an average of 50 deaths
Mettaton is a character in the popular 2015 RPG game, Undertale. He is a robot with a soul built by Dr. Alphys, and is the sole television star of the underground. Mettaton is a popular character in the fanbase. His notable features include his legs, and his catchphrase "OH YESSSS!" So what do you love the most about Mettaton? For me, I'd have to ask: is "everything" an option? This guy's hilarious! AND he wants to save humanity from Asgore! Why would you WANT to kill him?

His death scene is tragic plus it makes alphys feel awful. As an added bonus I have a crush on mettaton. (I turned bi for him lol)
He brings life to the Underground. He's their biggest star. They depend on him. And you left them empty.
Mettaton Ex is the second form of Mettaton When you kill the other form of Mettaton She is a dancer.

Asgore Dreemurr is a boss monster and the king of the monsters in the 2015 RPG Undertale made by Toby Fox. Asgore is the portrayed main antagonist who plans to acquire seven human souls and use their power to break the barrier that seals the monsters underground . Aspects of his character are hinted at throughout the players journey and his fate at the end of the game is determined by the choices the player has made. But still, HE IS A DEMON. And he actually is. Look at him when you start the fight. HE DESTROYS THE MERCY BUTTON WITH THE DEVILS WEAPON OF CHOICE. LIKE, PEOPLE! But then again, his death scene is extremely sad. He begs you to take his soul. So sad.
He's not exactly the most liked character in the fanbase, but Asgore had a kind personality, and was only doing what he thought he had to do for his kingdom.

Muffet is a character from the game Undertale. She appears in a region called Hotland, selling pastries to raise money to rent a heated limo to help the spider clan from the Ruins (who are also raising a bake sale) reunite with the one in Hotland because the spiders can't cross Snowdin. It almost made me cry when I killed her and the spider came and gave her a flower! ;_;
The part that really got me was when the spider put a flower at the spot where shs was killed. Very sad.
Mostly on here for how sad her death scene is.

Plot twists aside, however, she is also well known for creating the fabulous entertainment robot Mettaton, as well as having a massive crush on a young fish woman named Undyne, thus creating one of the most beloved lesbian couples in fiction. Poor girl kills herself.

Chara is a character in the game Undertale by Toby "Radiation" Fox who is one of the seven people to fall to the Underground prior to the fall of the player character. Their name can be changed by the player and will be assumed as the player character, until the Pacifist Route when Asriel asks for the player's name, which is Frisk.
In the genocidal route (achieved by killing as many monsters as you can without sparing), they appear by the end to destroy the world, which happens regardless of the player's choice or intervention. Due to this, most people see them as a villain.
