Minecraft is my favorite video game in the whole world. Creative mode can help people express their creativity through amazing builds. Minecraft Survival Mode taught me to not play it safe by going in peaceful, where the most dangerous thing you can find in the normal world is lava or heights, but to challenge myself and face my strange fear of minecraft monsters.
The possibilities of this game are endless!
If you have never played Minecraft, you have my word: Although there may be some cartoony violence and sword-swinging, I can assure you, it is perfectly appropriate for elementary school kids. Parents should let their kids play this. No blood, no cursing (Unless you go on a multiplayer server without chat filter), and little fear involved.
The monsters may be scary at times (They were very scary to me), one of the good things about minecraft is that it helps people face fears. If you're afraid of spiders in real life, kill a few spiders in minecraft and ...more
If you have never played Minecraft you totally should. It teaches you how to survive (although, making a crafting table, cutting stone, chopping wood etc. would not be as easy in real life) it is a sandbox game, which means (I think) that you can do whatever you want on it. In survival you make a house and fight mobs like enderman, skeletons, zombies, spiders, etc. You make tools, swords, hoes, shovels, etc. You can plant crops and breed animals, you can have dogs and cats and horses for pets, You can explore villages and temples and abandoned mineshafts and strongholds. You can even go to alternate dimensions like the Nether and the End, where you can fight the Enderdragon and beat the game. The possibilities are endless! You can do some serious mining and get diamond armor and tools, you can make potions, you can use redstone, you can make traps to capture mobs and kill them, or you can even search for Herobrine! Minecraft is DEFINITELY the best game EVER, and the proof is right on ...more
This game is awesome. Especially when your in survival. Creative is good too but in survival you actually get to mine! - EpicJake
Screw almost everything about this game. The fan base sucks, the game is boring, and people mainly play it for survival, a very bad game mode about fighting and staying alive... in a game about building. If you really want to build in the game, play creative. Its decent, but still very boring. I honestly do not know why people would pay money for this trainwreck of a game.V 6 Comments

Kids normally feel left out because they can't play all of the games with guns. But hey! Nintendo solved that problem and invented… this masterpiece! With offline single and multiplayer and safe online gameplay, kids are guaranteed to not be brainwashed with an inappropriate game.
Hmm, I dunno, those nursery and airplane stages would like to have a bit of a word otherwise (honestly, I'm not sure exactly WHAT type of non-stoned demographic this game was really intended to cater to) - xandermartin98
That song, His World, is the only reason I would play the game.
