Top Ten Video Games People Hate Despite Never Having Played Them
I dare say that very few people under the age of 25 have played, or even seen, an Atari 2600. Few people younger than 20 have played a Nintendo 64 and even fewer have played any games on the original Nintendo Entertainment System. Panasonic 3DO? Few people played games on that console even when it was new. The same applies to the Sega CD. Yet despite the few modern gamers who have seen, played, or otherwise experienced any of these consoles or their games, they seem to have a very definite opinion on them.Internet memes, YouTubers, and gaming blogs have given the modern gamer all he needs to know about the games he'll never see in person. In-depth reviews and game play videos complete with the opinions of the broadcasters have become enough to bias even the most avid gamer.
Whether a person should actually experience something before forming an opinion about it is a topic of debate not likely to get resolved. One thing is certain however, some people will continue to make blanket statements about video games - commenting on the graphics, the characters, the gameplay, and the soundtracks - with no more information than they've gleaned from a YouTube video. Games will be hated and mocked, cheered and obsessed over, and no fingers will be put to controllers to validate the stance.
Below are the top ten games that seem to be hated despite not actually being played by the people wielding the opinions. Rarely is the age and technology taken into account, nor the cultural factors present at the time the game was released, before condemning it to the trash pile. The games may be total rubbish or they may be hidden gems; the point is that few gamers these days have actually played them before deciding the result.
I do hate this game but people often blame it alone for the crash. One of the causes of the Crash is de decline of Game quality, which hoy can clearly ser here, but mano other games are also to llame. And that wasn't the only reason, overabundance of games and consoles were also to blame.
It deserves to be hated. The graphics are bad, the controls suck, it caused a crash in the video game industry, and I am saying this despite having never played it while in the voice of Keith Shadis from Attack on Titan.
I played this on an emulator and it does, in fact, suck nuts. Hell, it is even worse than you'll imagine! Rivalled only by Big Rigs.. Wait, Big Rigs is at least funny(albeit unintentionally).
At least this game was hilarious in large groups, after a few shots.
..but, if we're gonna point fingers at Superman on the N64.. what about Aquaman?
Thank God I never got this game. I would rather watch Modern SpongeBob than play this atrocity.

This is not a bad game, people... Never understood the hate when Sonic 2006 is actually better than Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, the storybook games and even the Sonic Rivals series.
I got this for Christmas and played it for about 10 minutes then lost it the next day. I guess someone was trying to protect me from this game lol.
I got this game when it came with my Xbox and was like "I don't like it but maybe I just don't get it! " Boy was I wrong, this game was garbage.
Because you don't need to play this to know how horrible it is. Just watch a playthrough on YouTube and bam, that's pretty much the whole game!

Don't water those ties
For a retro game, it's shocking that there is an F word in it. Besides, the gameplay is boring and ridiculous. And yeah, the music is nothing but annoying loop that bleeds your ears.
SNES games kinda suck now
This game is damn good the story is unique and the characters are lovable and the mechanics are truly unique one of the few games I know where you can beat without killing anyone. And finally the four main reasons youll love it when you play it for yourself. Papyrus, Sans, Undyne and Ariel
My friend used to hate it and then he found a video about it and started to like it. He hated it because of the community that surrounds it. You can't judge a game by people that surround it.
I love it, but I haven't played it. The thing with Undertale is that it's the type of game that revolves around story and characters, and falls back on great gameplay.

The only reason people hate this game is because they either watched JonTron's review of it or just complain that "it's not 64".
To those who never played it, I recommend giving it a chance. It may have some flaws (most of which you can blame on Microsoft for buying out Rare and then rushing to get Adventures out before the deadline), but it's not unplayable.
No one gives opinions about it anymore becuase these games are so old going back to the 1980s
This game is pretty good, "amazing", no. it has 125 hrs of gameplay and then its dead and you get mods for it, then 5 hrs of game play and its dead. 130hrs of gameplay may seem big, but its not enough to finish making it to level 50. fun but no greatly ploted and somewhat limited content

Never understood the hate Brawl has been getting lately. I may enjoy the newest Smash more but I still play the older games, including Brawl, from time to time.
It's my more dominant Wii game amongst all the others. It's well thought out and action-packed, also a great way to spend time with your friends and family
I love Brawl, fight me Melee fanboys. Not everyone likes Melee. Come back after you can make a better game than Brawl before saying it sucks.

Even if I liked the Sonic Boom show and games, I admit that there are serious flaws. One of which is that I cannot stand how Knuckles is portrayed in Sonic Boom. He is mistaken as a stupid character who's dumber than Big the Cat when in reality he is just as smart as Sonic himself. The series also could have done better without Shadow, who is only there for pointless fanservice nowadays. At least Sonic Boom isn't canon to the main series so it may be just an 'alternate universe' more than anything. Although I did like the idea of having more animals as NPCs/incidental characters instead of just humans like in Sonic X. I also liked the redesigns. But that's just me.

My older brother is (was) addicted to Sonic the Hedgehog. I teased him how he liked every Sonic game. Then he got this.
He beat the game, but hated it. He said there was way too much talking, everything was all so easy and boring.
So I shrugged, and played it myself. I nearly died of boredom. I could not keep going. I don't LIKE Sonic games anymore because of this game. Do NOT play. Don't.
Nononononono. I am an enormous Knuckles fan, have been for over 15 years now, and own quite a large sum of his merchandise.
When the previews for this game came out, my draw dropped.

Shouldn't Sticks be playable because then you could throw her boomerang at enemies or attack them up close with her boomerang and then she would be the most long ranged character in the game also am I the only one who finds this game awesome?
Little history on this game; it was one of the most hyped up ports to the 2600. People would love to play the arcade classic right at home. But then Atari got greedy. When the developer sent them a basic build of the game as a test model, Christmas was approaching, so they PUBLISHED THE TEST MODEL. It wasn't good looking, and was received poorly due to greed and being rushed, just like ET.
This game is like Slenderman.. if you were in a Chuck E Cheese and he was trying to get you there.
I yawned while playing this. It was dull. At least Slenderman had more of an adventure. FNaF is just a game that tries the cheap, build up anxiety then jump out and scare tactics. Nothing new. The game is riding on the recent Chuck E Cheese discussions going around the web. It's made popular by some gamers on YouTube but what doesn't seem to be made popular by them these days? They could endorse poo and that'd become popular.
I will say I do like the art of this game very much. If it had a true playing storyline to it I think it would be worth playing.
The reason people hate it is because it got popular way to fast. It was pretty much a huge explosion including theorys people put way to much though into, shipping charts that made no sense, and very inappropriate drawings/art of the characters. And you cpuld find this ANYWHERE. They were ALL OVER YouTube. That's why people hate them. The games aren't even scary. They really only on jumpscares.
The only reason I haven't played it is because the one thing that is more intense than watching a terrifying horror movie is playing a terrifying horror video game, because in a game, you're right in the thick of it.
The game was good. It was a well-thought-out concept.
But then the fandom happened and ruined the game for everyone else.
I'll admit it, I hated this game series, despite never playing it and I bashed the infinite warfare reveal trailer. But after my friend gave me a copy of Modern Warfare 2, I now have every single Call of Duty game in my collection.
Call of Duty isn't that bad. Sure it's not always great, but it's a good series. People mostly just hate it becuase it's considered cool to do so.
