Light Yagami is a fictional character and the protagonist of the manga series Death Note, created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The reason I love this one so much is the fact that this guy has good intentions and actually thinks he is the hero and the thing that makes him a villain protagonist is the fact that he goes too far in his actions. His idea of justice is to kill criminals as a threat which would help create a perfect utopia. The series deconstructs this by questioning whether his idea of a perfect utopia is right or not by saying that crimes are a natural part of society and killing criminals for these acts will only enforce harder rules on society and that more rules = more dystopian. By the end of the series the message is that neither side really wins the debate.
