The Top Ten
Hey, at least it's video game/movie material! - Therandom
It started everything in the modern age. The Great Depression, World War 2, Holocaust, Nukes, Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, terrorism, Yugoslav Wars, u stability in the Middle East, and fall of the Soviet Union. It was a very dark time indeed... - SirSkeletorThe3rd
The only thing that made earth the worst thing ever known
World War 1 caused World War 2. That's around 70-80 million deaths right there.
World War 2 made Britain and Germany softer.
Britain and Germany becoming weaker caused the USA to become the new world power.
USA coming to power made it capable of destroying Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, (Attempt) Vietnam, and more.
It may be asking too much for you to understand ancient history, but these events are from the past 15 years, and you still have no clue what you're blathering about. Iraq was stable by 2008.
Thanks for the info! But it really went downhill pretty quick after the Syrian Civil War happened. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
President Bush believed Iraq was hiding WMDs and were affiliated with as Bush calls them, "Al-Qaeder". So he sends troops to take down Saddam's horrible regime and also took down stability in Iraq. Leaving most of Saddam's military and supporters to join Jihadists groups such as al-Qaeda and later, ISIS. No WMDs were discovered (unless you mean oil) and Iraq is in worse shape than it was already. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
The war no one liked. It was effortless. People thought it was horrible as both Soviets and Americans were using gasses such as Agent Orange to use on the Vietnamese. It worsened relations with both powers too. Vietnam is now a poor country. All of the Vietnam War veterans came back with no celebration and had a hard time finding jobs leaving them homeless. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
My parents are from Laos, and they had to immigrate because of the bombings that took place. Then again, me and my sister wouldn't be living in America if my parents never did. Still, my relatives in Laos are suffering due to low standard of living and poverty. - ModernSpongeBobSucks
This war makes superpower country like America looks like an idiot. This war should be never happened.
Pointless war. - Metalhead1997V 4 Comments
This war has evolved from what was a protest, to a 4 sided war! With Dictator Assad leading the regime gassing Rebels and Kurds. The Rebels trying to overthrow Assad's regime to probably also bring another dictator in. Kurdistan trying to get a country of their own and fight ISIS. And finally, ISIS making things worse by bringing Jihad, unstability, terrorism, and gassing to Syria. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
Actually, this was probably the worlds most important war. Imagine what would've happened if Hitler and the Nazis won?
This was necessary. If the Germans and the Central Powers won World War 1, this wouldn't have been necessary. But since the Allies won this war while it was their fault, I have some feelings of resentment for them.
More people died - Picklesthekitten45
U SUCK HITLER U DID NOT NEED TO START THIS MESS
It was bad how the British were impressing U.S. Sailors into their Navy but America was not ready for a war. They invaded Canada but failed, the British attacked Washington and burned down the White House. It did, however, gave us our National Anthem. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
America may not have been "ready for a war," but the point is moot. The British were ejected from America for the final time. So what else you got?
China, why would you even...? - SamuiNeko
Without this there would be no Kim-Jhong-Un
The U.S. Didn't even want to fight this one but it was dragged into the war because of the UN. They tried to stop Commies, only to have China get p***ed and fight the UN. Therefore leaving a stalemate. Now cause North Korea to constantly threaten us and get nukes. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
As much as I hate to say this, I would have preferred to let Afghanistan be a communist country rather than one ravaged by terrorism. - ModernSpongeBobSucks
This sparked a massive collapse of what was a promising nation. - AGK
The word is "instability," and you've grossly oversimplified the Middle East problem, and clearly have no clue as to the history and nature of its origins.
It began a few thousand years ago, with two children named Isaac and Ishmael, and has continued, with little interruption, ever since.
The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan and fought against U.S. backed Mujahiideen. Which the Mujahiideen won, but soon devolved into the Taliban, a jihadist group that was known for ridiculous laws and being supported by Al-Qaeda. Therefore, that was one of the starts of unstability in the Middle East today. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
It is considered as a war, if it wasn't then the Vietnam War and other would have never happened. So of course it is not directly considered as a "war" but it caused other wars and conflicts... It is one of the most important ones because it lasted more than 40 years and it's not so old, it changed lives of millions of people,...
Then again, if it didn't happen, countries like Germany (East Germany) would still be communist. - ModernSpongeBobSucks
Who's idea was it to put this on, a Cold War is not a war, nobody is getting killed. Tensions are at a high, but there's no warfare. What a joke, you'd rather cast your vote on this than the Iraqi war or Vietnam war!?
This isn't even a war. Who put this on here? - SirSkeletorThe3rd
A war about religion. Just like every over war! Except, it was over different sects of Christianity. Martin Luther created Protestantism but the Vatican got all mad and banished him. Soon Martin Luther's ideas began to spread to England, France, and then-Holy Roman Empire. Soon, war broke out between states in the Holy Roman Empire between Catholics and Protestants. Soon, it devolved into a war between the Hadsburg dynasty, a royal family known for being really REALLY inbred, and anti Hadsburg dynasty, who were probably also inbred but we're still sane. Eventually leading into one of the deadliest wars in history. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
I agree most wars in that era were about religion.
Yes this is an actual thing, a bunch of Australians lost their lives to a bunch of dumb birds. It was destructive to the Australian population... Also it shouldn't have happened cause it was a very VERY stupid war. - SirSkeletorThe3rd
A war between the states in Yugoslavia. It was horrifying as genocide was everywhere! Especially in Serbia as they were removing Kebab like it ain't no thang. If it never happened, then the former Yugoslavia countries will still break away, but hopefully in a peaceful manner. Otherwise, we wouldn't have any memes such as Serbia Strong/Remove Kebab... - SirSkeletorThe3rd
Only Macedonia broke peacfully from Yugoslavia
But without the Pig War, there wouldn't be that episode of Hey Arnold about it. - lavashooter
An American man killed a British pig...
...These Brits take pigs seriously. The pig was the only one to die.
It's called Palestine! forever! - ahmedaser
At this point, Carthage was not a threat, and this was a war of vengeance by Romans against a people who had threatened their existence, but had resigned themselves to be essentially subjects under the Senate. Absolutely brutal, a long, drawn out siege turned into essentially a Stalingrad-esque nightmare, as two years passed by with desperate defense by the Carthaginian citizens and a well-organized, infuriated Roman citizen-soldier army. This would be the last time Roman society would unite to conquer another society, as from here on out most wars featured professional soldiers or were fought against city-states and kingdoms who were willing to surrender after their belligerent king had surrendered. In Carthage, there would be no quarter. I highly recommend Dan Carlin's podcast if you would like to hear the story of all 3 Punic Wars.
The other two were totally justified, in my opinion.
Come on, that was just mean from the US, would you like half of your territory to be stripped from you by your neighbor! Illegal War!
Britain had no right to invade Argentina to take their land. Falklands should belong to Argentina!
Oh get over it! The people on the Falkland Islands are British and don't want Argentina taking over. The islands are British. Get over it.
Long Live the British Falklands!
We owned it first! Falklands forever!
Seriously, Bush had no reason to do it. - lavashooter
It was.. 38 minutes..
The Sri Lankan Civil War was an armed conflict fought on the island of Sri Lanka. Beginning on 23 July 1983, there was an intermittent insurgency against the government by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (the LTTE, also known as the Tamil Tigers), which fought to create an independent Tamil state called Tamil Eelam in the north and the east of the island. After a 26-year military campaign, the Sri Lankan military defeated the Tamil Tigers in May 2009, bringing the civil war to an end.with an initial estimated 80,000"100,000 Tamil people killed during its course.
At the most basic level, the conflict arose from ethnic tension between Sinhalese and Tamil citizens.
Ogaden territory belongs to Somalia and will forever be the land of Somalis!
