Top Ten Ways to Avoid Plagiarism in a Written Work

I'm including stories of any kind, reports, essays, pretty much anything you're writing out.
The Top Ten
1 Use an online checker

I suggest checking out a list on the better ones.

2 Reread your work

Rereading and revising papers is a lifesaver. Trust me.

3 Go over what you recently read

Once I almost plagiarized Wings of Fire in a school project. No kidding.

4 Have a friend with similar interests read it

They might find something.

5 Know what movies you recently watched
6 Go back to media in old memories
7 Know the difference between plagiarism and inspiration

I'm looking at you, Cyri. Not because you do this, but because you taught me.

8 Write two or more drafts

Again with revising. You're going to find mistakes and fix them.

I hate planning, but okay.

9 Think before you type

Don't just type long walls of text while half asleep. I make this mistake sometimes. I almost am now.

This was a life saver.

10 Read into your fandoms yet again
The Contenders
11 Don't Copy Your Sources!

Obviously. Sadly some of my classmates still don't understand this concept.
