Top 10 Ways the Ruthless Aggression Was Better Than the Attitude Era.

While the Attitude Era from 1997-2001 is no doubt the best Era in the WWF/E, the era that followed, the Ruthless Aggression Era from 2002-2007 should not be overlooked, and actually did things better than the Attitude Era.
The Top Ten
1 Brand Split

One of the greatest ideas since the Attitude Era. Gone were the days of Raw and Smackdown being more or less the same, and now there was more of a reason to watch both shows. Each brand had its own style, with Raw being more promo based and Smackdown more focused on the action. People could choose their favorite. (I preferred Raw).

2 Less Stagnant Main Event Scene

Admit it, during the Attitude Era only three guys made up the bulk of the main event scene: Stone Cold, The Rock, and Triple H. While others did reach the main event scene, they never lasted very long. Guys like Kurt Angle, Undertaker, and even Mankind were in the scene for a matter of months. Guys like Owen Hart and Chris Benoit weren't given the pushes they deserved back then.

During the Ruthless Aggression Era, the main event scene started to constantly change (apart from John Cena and Triple H). Guys like Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Big Show, Batista, Randy Orton, and John Cena were given main event pushes throughout the years. Even Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho were given decent world title reigns. For the most part, nobody stayed in the main event scene for too long and new faces came in, keeping it fresh throughout the era.

3 Some of the best wrestlers in the world at the time were in the WWE

Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero? How could you go wrong with a roster like this?

4 Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle

Brock Lesnar's amazing matches with The Rock, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, and Eddie Guerrero made this era, as did Kurt Angle's great matches with Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Shawn Michaels among others. And don't even get me started on the Lesnar vs Angle matches.

5 Smackdown's Amazing Product in 2002/3

The Smackdown Six, the Cruiserweight Division, Angle vs Lesnar Ironman Match? Why, Vince? Why did you have to fire Paul Heyman as booker for Smackdown?

6 A String of Great Wrestlemanias

Wrestlemania XIX: Matt Hardy vs Rey Mysterio, Chris Jericho vs HBK Stone Cold vs The Rock, Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle.

Wrestlemania XX: Chris Jericho vs Christian, Eddie Guerrero vs Kurt Angle, and Chris Benoit vs Triple H vs HBK.

Wrestlemania 21: Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero, Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Randy Orton vs Undertaker, HBK vs Kurt Angle.

Wrestlemania 22: Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Edge vs Mick Foley, Rey Mysterio vs Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton, and John Cena vs Triple H.

Wrestlemania 23: Money in the Bank Ladder match, Batista vs Undertaker, John Cena vs HBK.
Watch every last one of these matches.

7 Triple H vs HBK

This feud doesn't get the credit it deserves thanks to Triple H's Reign of Terror. Their match at Summerslam 2002 was excellent, as was the Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series. Their match at Armageddon should have been shorter but was still a good match, as was their Badd Blood 2004 encounter, and their Royal Rumble Last Man Standing match was excellent as well.

8 ECW One Night Stand '05/'06

Not the WWECW reboot garbage, but the actual ECW type PPVs that were masterpieces. Just watch both of them.

9 Cruiserweight Division
10 Women's Matches

In the Attitude Era, women were hired just because of looks and not ability. During the Ruthless Aggression era, WWE finally realized that fans want to see people who could actually wrestle. Sadly, today, they seem to have forgotten that.
