Top Ten Websites With the Worst Communities

The Top Ten
1 Tumblr Tumblr is a microblogging and social networking website founded by David Karp in 2007, and owned by Oath Inc.

Yeah. Once, I went on there. And some artist literally took a screenshot of a message someone sent them. The person who sent the message was asking the artist if they could draw a picture (their OC or something) for them. And yeah, requesting something (without following the person) is kinda rude. But it's even MORE rude whenever the artist puts the person on the spot and sends that message out to their followers and makes a tacky comment about it. It's just like, if you didn't want to draw the picture.. just tell that person that you don't do requests. Don't send out the message for everyone to see and embarrass them like that. That person who asked for the picture wasn't even being pushy about it or anything.

This website emphasizes the worst of each fanbase. Undertale and Steven Universe (as much as I love that show) are some particularly nasty examples, especially the latter (people throwing tantrums because of fanart and driving people to suicide for it). This website is a big mess that should just shut down. And for the trolls, go back to Yahoo Answers where you'd be funnier!

2 TheTopTens TheTopTens is a countdown-based website founded and created in 2005 which consists of user-generated content. Visitors can vote, comment, like other comments, and view user-created remixes. Registered users can use the additional features of the site - such as creating lists, remixes, posts, messaging, and following users to have content in the personal feed. It has over 200,000 lists as of 2022.

Dear whoever is reading this,
When I discovered TheTopTens, I thought that it was a really nice site, where you get to share your opinion about things. I liked this site. I would browse TheTopTens in my free time. But as time went on, I noticed a lot of negative things. I learned that sharing your opinions also came with a good chance of people bashing you, all because you have a different opinion. As I spent more time on TheTopTens, instead of being happy like I used to, I got angrier and angrier because of all the rudeness and disrespect on this site. So much hate, so much bullying. I couldn't take it anymore, so I left. I left because it was too toxic. I am now typing this message to encourage people to change. No more disrespect. No more rudeness. No more bullying. And no more bashing other people just because they have a different opinion. It is time that we learned to be kind to others. I know that no community is perfect, but no community has to be toxic and hateful. You have a choice: you can either set a good example for others and be kind and respectful, or you can leave. If you wish to remain in TheTopTens community, you need to be respectful. That means when someone has a different opinion, you need to respect that. If someone bullies another person, tell them that bullying is wrong, but do it in a respectful way. If you cannot do that, you can leave. Leave this awful community, and live a better life. It's a decision you should make: Stay on the website and be a positive example for other users, or leave. I hope that after reading this message, you'll be a better person. And I really hope that TheTopTens can one day be a better community, a community full of respectful people, not bullies.

3 4Chan 4chan is an anonymous English-language imageboard website. Launched by Christopher "moot" Poole in October 2003, the site hosts boards dedicated to a wide variety of topics, from anime and manga to video games, cooking, weapons, television, music, literature, history, fitness, politics, and sports, among others. Registration is not available and users typically post anonymously. As of 2022, 4chan... read more

Don't think this site is moderated at all. How is it still on the surface web? I think there's illegal material on there, and it has probably not been sent to the shadow realm.

4chan split off most of it's boards into 4channel. Other than that, some of it's boards are incredibly toxic, disgusting, I could go on.

People just post horrible comments anonymously, it doesn't deserve to exist.

4 YouTube YouTube is a global video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees on February 14, 2005. In November 2006, it was acquired by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube is ranked as one of the most visited websites, securing the 2nd place, only surpassed by Google Search. As of 2024, the CEO of YouTube is Neal Mohan... read more

The absolute worst website you could ever go on, you see idiots posting videos about their bodies and fights that are involved in the comments section.

It used to be so awesome until all this whatever happened, I'd rather go to 4Chan or GoAnimate than this stupid waste of society.

Their community is a breeding ground for pedophiles, lazy trolls and the most immature people you can imagine. You can't comment on a video nowadays without getting harassed over an opinion

Bots, trolls, idiots everywhere. One ridiculous person named MR.ICE even uses massive bots to thumb up his troll comments he spammed to make the rate of increasing of likes on the comments obviously abnormally high.

5 Twitter X (formerly known as Twitter) is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, also known as "tweets", restricted to 280 characters.

This website is infamous for its trolls and the people who craft the worst takes the planet has ever seen (and unfortunately, some people have speculated that society is slowly starting to cater towards these horrible takes), but the more disturbing part of Twitter are in the pedophile rings. On Twitter, MAP means "Minor Attracted Person", and AAM means "Adult Attracted Minor", and there is a secret ring with "AAMs" and "MAPs" in it, and you can probably decipher lots of the stuff that happened there. One of the "AAMs" has an entire CARRD WEBSITE where she sells explicit images of herself to "MAPs" willing to buy them, and it's all on the SURFACE WEB. It's already concerning enough that some "MAPs" here are trying to normalize pedophilia (along with "ZOOs" trying to normalize zoophilia), and even more than concerning enough that literal minors have "AAM" in their bios and defend "MAPs", but the secret ring really puts the cherry on top of how disturbing Twitter can truly become.

6 9GAG

Only immature schoolchildren go on there usually. I'm sure I don't need to say any more.

7 GoAnimate

All they do is follow the same video formula over and over again. They heavily criticize a simple hate in which opinion shall be respected, and have absolutely 0% respect. Most of them utilize a Diesel voice for the father and Kimberly voice for the mother. And they even use like, sextillion digit numbers when meaning duration of grounding! This could last forever! Even more, they mostly get copyright strikes on YouTube due to "reaction videos" using copyrighted footage from films like Star Wars. Also they would invite you to use a simple piece of copyright footage to copy it over and over again, that's what it's called "(USER) videos". Plus most of them do grounded videos out of certain users in which support is smashed! I give an example: user 1 is "good" and user 2 is "bad", when I like both of them, user one would make a video out of me liking that user, and getting grounded for this. 100% intolerance and 0% creativity. Do not go to that site. That is the main reason why the admins removed non business themes to punish those goons. Plus if you support the side of totally original content on there, good job. You should give support of them to take over the community obsessed with grounded videos.

8 Reddit Reddit (stylized in all lowercase as reddit) is an American social news aggregation, content rating, and discussion website. Registered users (commonly referred to as "Redditors") submit content to the site such as links, text posts, images, and videos, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into user-created boards called "communities" or "subreddits". Submissions... read more

The major communities are just a huge toxic hivemind. More concerningly, there have been some people there trying to defend pedophilia. There are legit memes on there that glorify pedophilia and make people against normalizing pedophilia look like loser soyjacks. One time, someone there even made a post saying how a child being r*ped is "beneficial for their health". Absolutely disgusting.

There's some sort of hierarchy that the one with highest karma can have their opinion valid.

Meanwhile, I only had like 3 karma and tried to express my viewpoints... Guess what?

I received about -20 karma.

Never gonna use this site again

Redditors think they are smart... not really

I was asking about on how to clean my laptop, one said I should put ants in it so they eat the dusts inside it. And the other one replies with "wash it with boiling hot water" while many replied with upvotes and "nice"

9 Roblox Roblox Corporation is an American video game developer based in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2004 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel, the company is the developer of Roblox, which was released in 2006. As of June 30, 2021, Roblox Corporation employed 1,234 people.

Pffffft, most of the issues are just in popular games like Adopt Me and MeepCity. Go to Person299's Minigames or any other game with less than 100 players and you'll see that there's actually not a lotta issues.

While the haters aren't any better (The hatedom looks like they're generalizing people who have a positive opinion of a game as little kids or ODers) and there are worse communities (See: Stormfront), the Roblox community is just chaotic, it's known for being an ODing platform (I think the ODer trend died down), and a site infested with little kids.

What a bunch of immature people. Cyberbullies everywhere, no escape, and the overuse of online dating

10 Comic Vine
The Contenders
11 GodHatesFags

A website solely for making fun of a whole group of people. Full of hate and bigoted people. This should be on the top of this list. Why is there still a website like this in the first place?

It's filled with a bunch of overly religious, homophobic, jerks. Of course the community is bad!

This retarded group loathes some types of people for no reason

12 Fantendo

I really don't like the staff there. You'd think that they'd be reasonable and mature, as a person running a website SHOULD be, but they're not and that not only ends up leading to a toxic atmosphere but also being banned or having a page removed for simply creating a idea they don't agree with or doesn't live up to their standards rather than the site's. They're too sensitive, opinionated, and just aren't fit to run a website let alone be on the internet

I had a White Kirby OC that was shat on by Fantendo for being too similar to another OC. All they had in common was their similar color. They also started calling another minor character from my series a ripoff of another character for sharing the same name. I get them hating the comic because of a chunk of black comedy being featured, but you need to look into the characters more before you start calling them all "ripoffs."

13 Facebook Facebook is a corporation and an online social networking service headquartered in Menlo Park, California, in the United States.

How is this not higher? This site has been flooded with 45 year old moms who laugh at baby videos, even when the baby suffers and cries.

14 Snapchat Snapchat is an American multimedia instant messaging app and service developed by Snap Inc., originally Snapchat Inc. One of the principal features of Snapchat is that pictures and messages are usually only available for a short time before they become inaccessible to their recipients. The app has evolved from originally focusing on person-to-person photo sharing to presently featuring users' "Stories"... read more

A lot of the kids at school goo on that site during break and record themselves doing stupid things.

I mean, technically it's not a website, but it still has some bad people.

Bunch of lil kids.

15 DeviantART DeviantArt is an online artwork, videography and photography community. The website was launched on August 7, 2000, by Angelo Sotira, Scott Jarkoff, Matthew Stephens, and others.

A bunch of horny teens. The community reminds me of that chicken from the short "Banty Raids"

It used to be good until all this sexual crap, I don't go on it anymore.

I have an account on there. I post art and stuff, but, (half of) the community is very angst-ridden, pervy, and just.. salty lol

16 Rateyourmusic

I got permanently suspended from here. Wanna know why? Well, I basically said "F Cardi B, she should've just stuck to stripping and robbing men" and some butthurt fanboy reported me. Ha. And people think TTT is full of hypersensitive prudes.

17 Quora
18 KKK.com

The KKK is a literal racist cult. It is to no one's surprise that this website is on this list. I hope it got banned from the internet.

19 Fanfiction.net
20 Musical.ly
21 TFES.org
22 Twitch Twitch is an American video live streaming service that focuses on video game live streaming, including broadcasts of esports competitions, in addition to offering music broadcasts, creative content, and "in real life" streams. It is operated by Twitch Interactive, a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc.

It was introduced in June 2011 as a spin-off of the general-interest streaming platform Justin.tv... read more
23 Instagram
24 Plotagon

The spiritual successor to GoAnimate, even worse than expected. The main thing is you just have two voices and characters can't move. Even worse, GoAnimators decided to rush here because of someone discovering this, and using this as the second choice of making grounded videos.

I actually do a lot on Plotagon. I'm not that bad

A lot of the users are good, but a lot are bad.

25 IMDb The Internet Movie Database is an online database of information related to films, television programs and video games, including cast, production crew, fictional characters, biographies, plot summaries, trivia and reviews, operated by IMDb.com, Inc., a subsidiary of Amazon.
