Top 10 Websites You Would Have on a Deserted Isle

Other than minimal requirements for life, you are only able to browse one particular website. muszaj.hu is not the best choice. All it says is "muszáj". Search engines and link collections like Google or Useborn don't count, because they can hardly be utilized without having the websites you find with them. Shopping sites aren't the best choice either because you have no credit card to go with I grew up on the Hungarian media, so some sites here won't say anything to you. You can fix this by remixing. Also I don't know any exotic websites that might belong on this list, just the best-known ones
The Top Ten
1 YouTube YouTube is a global video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees on February 14, 2005. In November 2006, it was acquired by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube is ranked as one of the most visited websites, securing... read more

The possible most obvious choice for number one, you are able to listen to 99% of music most people know about, vlog about how you are building your hut and living your life there (if you also have the tools for recording it), and you can feel free to add what you would use YouTube for on a deserted isle.

I need my YouTube if I'm to live on a deserted island.

Note: I didn't get ANY captchas while making this list. Wonders still exist!

2 Archive.org

Obvious #1 as well, with Wayback Machine you can view any popular website you know the URL of, this is surely better than any of those sites in themselves, although you can't contribute to any of them, just read, that's why it's second to YouTube. It still doesn't take it away that Wayback Machine is only one of the things this site offers, there are millions of files from every multimedia genre

3 WikiHow

The main criteria for this list in my opinion is that the websites here have to be comprehensive and cover a large range of topics that can keep your attention for years. Maybe you can start writing your own "how to survive on a deserted isle" article, although there is already one

I guess it would be practical if you find the right articles from this website. Yes, they have strange or pointless articles, but they sometimes do have some good articles that can be useful in particular situations.

4 Stack Exchange

Possibly the forum covering the widest range of topics. I just looked at the top recent questions and they are ranging from trucks to artificial intelligence to monetary world issues to Harry Potter

5 Gutenberg

Over 59,000 free E-books in various categories: animals, classics, crime, education, general works, geography, history, law, music, psychology, religion, science, technology and plenty more, so everyone's interests would be completed. This is the kind of site you might even take with yourself if you survived the apocalypse since a lifetime isn't enough to read all this.

6 Blogspot

Or any blogger site for that matter. I put this here merely because it would be fun and public interest inducing to write blong post series about your struggle for survival and occupation of nature.

7 Uncyclopedia

TheTopTens seems to hate this site for some reason. It might not be very fun to read, but you can have endless possibilities writing it. You can make fun of everything that happens around you without mentioning names and places. If trees are cut down in your neighborhood everywhere, you can also satirize it. It is the site I use to express my feelings towards the world.

8 Tudou

YouTube is banned in China and Tudou is the most popular video website there. It doesn't make much sense to the users of this site but since 1/5 of the world's population is Chinese, 1/5 of the world's population would happily go with this item for #1

9 TheTopTens TheTopTens is a countdown-based website founded and created in 2005 which consists of user-generated content. Visitors can vote, comment, like other comments, and view user-created remixes. Registered users can use the additional features of the site - such as creating lists, remixes, posts, messaging,... read more

Totally need this, it's a great way to pass time when you're bored.

10 Pornhub

Makes sense. You would probably be all alone on this deserted island, so I suppose it would be as good a way as any to not feel alone or totally go insane.
