Top Ten Weirdest Monuments In the World

The Top Ten
1 Kindlifresser Fountain, Bern, Switzerland

I'm giving a speech about this to my class for a speech contest including a monument

2 Manneken Pis Statue, Brussels, Belgium

Why would a baby urinating in a public square be one of the icons of Brussels anyways? Crazy Belgians.

It's a statue of a child peeing into a fountain. Enough said.

3 S*** Fountain, Chicago, Illinois, USA

I live in Chicago, and whenever I go past this statue (which is not very often) I see tourists taking pictures of them licking the pile of dog poop.

It's a sculpture made to honour the neighbourhood dogs, but I think it's probably a reminder about something important for dog owners to renember.

4 Coffin Runway, Savannah, Georgia, USA

These two coffins were buried at a farm in 1884 before an airport was built on it, and the coffins were marked on the runway. Odd thing to see.

5 Turtle Fountain Statue, Worchester, Massachusetts, USA

It looks like a guy wrestling a turtle between his legs.

6 Traffic Light Tree, London, UK

This is just around the corner from Canary Wharf, and it's confusing for any motorist.

I quite like it. As I do everything this fantastic city.

7 Dead Horse Statue, Prague, Czech Republic

This is a statue of a Bohemian Saint sitting on an upside-down dead horse. I'm sure that's how he's remembered.

So that's what that was! Thanks, Positron, I've been trying to figure that out for a few months.

8 Floraris Generica, Buenos Aires, Argentina

A metal flower that opens at dawn to become 34 feet wide and shuts at dusk, when it becomes 58 feet tall. Striking to look at, but strange.

And most dawns it doesn't work! But well... At least it's something! Haha

9 Statue Of Poop On A Stick, Ponta Grossa, Brazil

This one is, well, weird. That is all.

Well, this sure has a funny name.

10 Love Land, Jeju Island, South Korea

Jeju Island is a popular spot for honeymoons in South Korea, and Love Land is a park full of statues of people copulating. Certainly complementary.

You come with your wife as a newly wed couple and then see the copulating statues. Well, the sight would be worth seeing and certainly complementary as Pos. said.

The Contenders
11 Gordon Bennett Statue, North Cray Road, Bexley, Kent, UK

So famous and weird
