Top 10 Weirdest Unlockable Characters in Wrestling Video Games
If you've ever spent countless hours mastering the art of suplexes, body slams, and high-flying maneuvers, then you know the feeling of accomplishment that comes with unlocking new characters. But what about those characters that make you scratch your head in disbelief? You know, the ones that defy all logic and leave you wondering, "Who came up with this?"Let me ask you something. After beating a certain part of that game, do you really feel like a winner with these unlocked characters?
As you expected, there's no physical body - just a floating head and pale hands grabbing you somehow. How does this even work?
Yes, somehow the lead man of Limp Bizkit gets put into two games. Ironically, both around the same time they came out. At least his "Just Bring It" entrance is much more accurate than his WWF Raw appearance where he's just there.
Well, at least if you hate Fred Durst, you could beat him up in these games.
While he plays a tiny role in the game, it really makes no sense to include someone who nobody knows where Tony came from other than being a soldier friend.
Yeah, a Druid in a wrestling game, nevertheless one of Undertaker's. SVR 2011 had one of the strangest stories where you're taking the path of the streak, and Undertaker has gotten into your head. Druids appear everywhere, which is also creepy. It's interesting that they are unlockable in any way.
The game is bad enough, and if you actually are somewhat decent at its crap factor, congratulations! You unlocked a lamer nobody who was a part of this game. What a waste of time.
This one, in a way, makes sense, but at the same time, has no wrestling experience obviously. While in Showdown, he's playable immediately, but in the 2nd game, you had to unlock him if you wanted to beat up the comedian as you please.
Hey, at least today's WWE fans know the Perfect 10, Tye Dillinger. But let me tell you something, for those who were diehard WCW fans, who is Doug Dillinger? That's a great question because it's a mystery I'd like to know as well.
LJN, how dumb can we possibly get by being suckered into picking yourself when it's most likely not what resembles you? Another classic failure of a game, while I'm at it.
While he was a DLC addition in WWE 12, it was in Smackdown 2 where you unlocked him, which is weird for somebody with zero wrestling experience.
Yes, the head man behind ECW was actually a playable character in Acclaim's second attempt at a game that had way more variety than Hardcore Revolution. The gameplay has been the same since WWF Attitude, but after somehow being decent at the game, you get the one and only Paul Heyman, who, of course, has no experience in wrestling. But hey, he's a great talker though.
Introducing the trainees on your screen. They end up being unlockable characters. Why? Who knows. It's very ridiculous to this day. It's the equivalent of including the Wii Fit trainee, right?
Yes, the same Turok from his own games makes his appearance in a wrestling game. It's very puzzling as to the reason why that is.
How many people actually remember a hidden character on a mediocre add-on like the 32X? Well, do you vividly remember who Kwang is? It's funny how Randy Savage missed the game, and they decided to put in a forgettable gimmick wrestler. Oh, right, LJN. Go figure.
Yes, you can play as the Terminator in a wrestling game. I wasn't sure whether to put him on the list, considering he was a pre-order inclusion more than anything.
Good ole JR! "As God as my witness, he is broken in half!" Need I say more? Just legendary as a commentator. It's kind of weird playing as him in this N64 game where there's absolutely no commentary, which makes him a bit pointless to play as.
Any guesses as to why they were included in this game? As you type in your cheat codes, then the reaction begins of disappointment, and I do not blame you one bit. A trainer like we have not seen that already on the list, and Pamela, what Pamela Anderson?
An iconic announcer that is put into a game, more or less a WCW game, on three different occasions.
The voice of WCW is playable in two games that are basically the same game, which you'd rather not want to play anyway.
Yeah, if you wanted to beat the crap out of him, this is the only game where it can be done.
It's almost too fitting the way WCW ended and he's put into one of the worst games of all time. How appropriate.
Yes, that's right, a luchador that was inspired by the creators of this game.
Yes, this exists, and yet it's so odd. I feel like I'm seeing a test screen when I'm playing against this dummy.
