I'm going over a list of the most messed up music videos, videos that are just wrong in generalThree things:
1. I always liked Katy Perry. She is fun, energetic and uplifting, and so is her music. Pop music should be like that. Fun and entertaining. "Bon Appetit", while way more sexual than most of her previous songs, is actually still like that. You can tell she had fun writing and singing this.
2. I also liked her videos. Extraordinary, of Hollywood movie quality and imaginative, funny and surprising. In the 90s and early 2000s music videos used to be like that (remember Madonna's "Bedtime Story" or Gwen Stefani's "What You Waiting For"?) and Katy Perry brought that back.
3. What the hell is this video? This is not what Katy Perry is supposed to be like. She is weird, but... positively weird. Like candy wonderland giant pink ribbon Cleopatra's ship weird. Katy is basically like the new Miley Cyrus. This video is the worst.
This on the other hand looks straightforward like a torture porn. How can one not see the huge artistic difference between the Closer video and this video here?
This song..or the video made no sense, There was no need of this song...I wonder what sprung to Ryan's mind.
The amount of times I said "no! " whilst watching this video is unreal.

I think this is very atmospheric and creepy actually. It is bizarre and looks like someone captured the surreal and unsettling imageries of a nightmare.
This is why you stay away from music videos from any Industrial artists. All of them are just weird or creepy.
This, my friend, is a typical piece of European art. Sexuality and nudity is very common in that.
You probably know some acclaimed European art movies by Lars von Trier or Michael Haneke that are similarly graphic.
I love Pearl Jam a lot...Well, I must say - Video was very depressing.
