Top 10 Worst 2D Animated Disney MoviesMegaSoulhero The years when Disney made 2D animated films were very great. However, not all of those movies were good. So let’s discuss them.
The Top Ten
The animation looks like it was it was animated by a walmart employee, And the songs aren't that good... - SandwichSWAT
Maggie is my main problem with this film, awful protagonist. The art direction and the other two cows were at least pretty good.
There is no doubt this movie sucked hard. I await a Disney movie worse than this. - CloudInvasion
I kinda like it...V 1 Comment
The message of the movie is plain stupid, Mulan let her enemies destroy something she supported then she went on not caring about it, Wow... - SandwichSWAT
At least Home On The Range was somewhat competent in a few areas. This movie is just complete garbage.
I think everyone wants to forget this one. - Phillip873
I haven't seen the movie, but the plot seemed a little bit out of tune for a good Mulan sequel. Additionally, I heard one song from it, and I cringed. I feel the same way that youtuber feels. (I heard the song from his video.) - listotaku17V 1 Comment
You expect other movies to at least have a exciting part, This thing WAS TOTAL TRASH AND BORING! - SandwichSWAT
This movie is not good. It was boring to me. What I want to know is how a movie made in 1998 has worse animation then one made in 1991. - 906389
Belle's Magical World. What is here to say that hasn't been said before? It's just...idiotic. - CloudInvasion
Worst than home on the rangeV 2 Comments
This is K's favourite yes yes
I haven't watched the other movies listed on this list, but out of all the movies I watched that are listed on here, I think this is the worst. It's just boring. - TheFourthWorld
This movie gets worse the more I watch it. It’s just awful. Even Disney tries to pretend it doesn’t exist. There’s nothing great about it. The animation is awful and the characters are some of the least interesting and most forgettable characters to ever be put in cinema. I really hate Gurgi. He’s the Jar Jar Binks of the movie. He has such an annoying voice. I didn’t even care when he sacrificed himself. This is a very bad and forgettable film. I guess I kind of appreciate it for trying to stand out from other Disney films in its tone, but the final results were very poor. - MegaSoulhero
Aurora does suck but deserves more attention if you ask me
What is the other two
Probably my 8 fave
Pocahontas is the third worst Disney princess. Just like the Greatest Showman, Pocahontas is a bad movie with a great soundtrack. Colors of the Wind is amazing and one of my favorites. I also really enjoy Savages. But the overall film is very slow and uninteresting. The voice actors are very talented, but most of them talk as if they’re in a Shyamalan film. Also, I just realized that I put two Christian Bale movies on this list. That wasn’t on purpose. This movie also suffers from lazy writing. The climax felt very anti-climactic compared to other scenes. And let’s not forget the completely awful scene that involves Pocahontas learning English from THE WIND!
EDIT: I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t make fun of the villain in this movie. R.I.P. David Ogden Stiers. - MegaSoulhero
I thought this film was pretty good honestly. Not my absolute favorite, but definitely in my Top 10. Get this film off of here. - OnyxDash
How is this on the list? Hercules is an awesome movie - HollyRolo
Only good that came out of this was Hades.
Whoever put this on the list is stupid. This movie is AWESOME! GET THIS OFF THE LIST! >:(V 2 Comments
The wonderful world of spinoffs. Giving us such amazing trash like this. - CloudInvasion
This movies plot is almost exactly like Little Mermaid II which is no real surprise as they were released at the same time. - egnomac
Lady and the Tramp II: The Retelling - CloudInvasion
STOP VOTING FOR ARISTOCATS
This isn't a worst film! I loved it!
This film was actually good. Damn good, a literal hidden gem.
This film wasn't bad at all in my opinion. It's not the best 70's Disney animated film (the two best would be Rescuers and Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh) but it's still enjoyable.
Nothing wrong with it. Maybe some hate older Disney animation.
The AristoCats is one of my favorite Disney movies because of Napoleon and Lafayette
I saw it when I was younger. Nothing wrong. Just a bit older. ~MistyrainV 6 Comments
Everyone in dis movie is immature
I’d like to put my sword in that stone. This movie isn’t completely awful, but it hasn’t aged well. I’m sure that some people might’ve found it amazing when it came out years ago. These days, it doesn’t have that effect. One of my biggest problems is the voice acting. They literally had three kids voice the main character. During certain moments, it sounds painfully obvious. Of all the Disney movies that need remakes, this one needs one the most. In fact, I think they are planning on making one. Hopefully it will be better than this. - MegaSoulhero
I think we all know who added this...
Honestly is anyone even surprised this was added here? We all know who did it. - Phillip873
Didn't like it, the thing going on at the end where they are FORCING simba to help them is so stupid, let him be who he wants to be!
I mean, I found it to be okay. There's definitely been better. - CloudInvasionV 1 Comment
Whoever put this on here: if it wasn't for this film, we wouldn't have any feature length animated films today, nor would Disney be as popular as it is.
To the commenter below, your opinion is respected, I actually enjoyed this film. It's not my favorite Studio Ghibli film (Castle in the Sky and Kiki's Delivery Service come to mind), but I still enjoyed it greatly. I liked some of the voices in the English dub better, Sophie's Japanese VA in her younger self sounded too mature for the role, and Billy Crystal was just perfect as Calcifer.
The only reason I watched this movie is because Batman is in it. There was nothing else that really interested me. It looked really dumb and really boring and it was exactly that. Something that was great about this movie was the scenery. Since it’s a Studio Ghibli film, which totally counts as Disney since Disney releases the English dubs for these movies, of course the animation looks spectacular. That’s the only saving grace to this movie though. If you take away the great animation, you get one mess of a film. Tons of pacing issues and dumb scenes. Billy Crystal was enjoyable though. Studio Ghibli is an excellent studio, but no studio is perfect. I mean, Pixar coming out with Cars 2 is a perfect example. - MegaSoulhero
Most of the Disney package films haven't aged very well sadly, and only nowadays are about average (loved this as a kid, but it's nothing very special now). The only one that still holds up today, if it's counted as one from some people, is Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (though I see that as one feature length film rather than a collection of three featurettes).
Seriously, you hate it because of a second long picture that was not spotted for TWENTY YEARS - Maddox121
Why do people hate this movie JUST because there was a picture of a naked lady? - darthvadern
In my opinion this was awesomne. I have childhood memories from this movie, but the sequel was definitely much better, the sequel had more action, and a better villian, and a better story. - darthvadern
They did remove the naked lady in some VHS,& DVD’sV 2 Comments
The only thing I liked in this movie was the "Under the Sea" sequence. Everything else stunk out loud. - Crwth
I do like this movie, the characters, art and animation, and loved it as a kid, unfortunately it has aged a bit poorly as an adult, the pacing is a bit dull (plus there are references to certain things only dog owners and adults might get). It's a good film, but it's not the masterpiece as people claim it is.
@ Treacle: I'm glad that the Siamese cats got Lady in trouble because I hated her. I hated Tramp even more. Execrable lead characters. 101 Dalmatians is infinitely superior.
You people only like this for the spaghetti scene. Watch the whole movie, you'll be really bored - 445956
I love this movieV 4 Comments
I would love a movie with dogs, a cat, and people, but this was ugly, stereotyped, and violent. - Crwth
Not a Disney movie. - Treacle
I'm assuming this was on here because of the violence that gave it a PG-13 rating. come on, this actually was a very good film. Not my favorite Ghibli film and I found the ending slightly confusing, but I enjoyed it.
I love this movie, but IRYO if you don’t like it
Actually this movie was pretty nice. - CloudInvasion
Underrated movie, only con with it in my opinion is Kanga and Roo weren't in it at all.
Who added this? It’s CGI
it's cg - Maddox121
Horrible rip-off of Pooh's Grand Adventure (underrated film), lots of out of character moments, voice acting mostly was below par, songs mostly were forgettable and terrible, mediocre art/animation, this failed to capture the spirit of the A. A. Milne books/previous Disney films.
Thank goodness it was a reboot, I don't consider this canon to the Disney Pooh universe at all.
It's dull. That's all I can say. It has good art and music, but that doesn't matter when I can't get myself to care about the boring plot and bland characters. I did come close to liking Maleficent - she would've been cool if her motivation weren't so utterly pathetic. - Treacle
Rabbit is supposed to redeem himself, but he was too much of an unlikable killjoy in the beginning. I didn't want him to become a better person. I wanted to punch him. - Treacle
