Worst Albums by Great Metal / Hard Rock BandsIn my opinion most bands have a fluke or have just lost their greatness from the past. These are my least favorite albums by great bands. They are all from subgenres of metal or rock.
The Top Ten
Wow it feels like you're in a block of flats, you hear Lou Reed in the shower talking and singing while next door Metallica are playing next door. That's how bad it is. I don't see how God Hates us All is bad, Disciple is a rocking song. Maybe Diabolus in Musica.
This should be at number one it was awful who hell makes garbage like this I want too sue Lars for this album good Lou reed is dead so a sequel will never be made few I was in fear that that would happen good thing it never did
It sounds like Lou Reed and Metallica were high on crack when they made this. You hear Lou Reed's drunken voice with Metallica playing in the background. Did I forget to mention the lyrics. "I am the tablet"? Seriously!?
Metallica plays bland music while Lou Reed reads his crappiest poetry. This record is astonishingly bad.V 12 Comments
Disagree completely. It's a very beautiful and artistic electronic album. The only reason it's on this list is because there are too many people who can't grow up and realize that Linkin Park don't need to constantly make Hybrid Theory part 2. - AngryByrd
This is the worst linkin park album, that being said, all linkin park albums are great! Therefor, this is still a good album and should not be on this list
It sounds cool though
Every Linkin Park album should be added to the listV 4 Comments
Please... This album is amazing! Buy some decent system to play it on and play it loud, yes Axl is being a dick but most rock stars are, and this album does have a better guitarist (Buckethead, best guitarist of all time). It would be great if Slash was here too but he's not so get over it and enjoy the music. If this was released under a different band name headed by Axl Rose people would love it.
Some good songs on the record and I love Buckethead but Axl is killing Gun's N' Roses and their legacy.
This album had one catchy song on it to me - Sabbath
Was this album with NO good songs at all not on the list? - christangrant
This was not the only bad album by Green Day. A lot of their albums sucked and some are overrated - Sabbath
Only bad Green Day album and it was not good. Few high points on the record.
Two things: 1st: I'm pretty sure Green Day isn't Metal nor Hard Rock, they are simply punk / pop rock. And second, this a fantiastic album. What the hell is this doing here?! - Jetticus12
UNO DOS TRE are worst then this - Th3Zm0nst3rV 2 Comments
What do guys thinking about? Lulu worsen than this, in St. Anger, they have Frantic and St. Anger that I think is really good. But Lulu? No one in that album is good or can I say all of their song is bad and worsen than St. Anger. St. Anger maybe at 2 or 3
As much as people complain about this album, this album allowed Metallica to survive. I liked Frantic, St. Anger, Some Kind of Monster, The Unnamed Feeling, Sweet Amber and All Within My Hands.
Why critics why did you let this peace of junk whin Grammy really how could this peace have in to the world it will kill you metal
No way Load or Reload were worse than this. Both awful, but St. Anger is so bad you laugh at it.V 2 Comments
I don't think there is a single song on this album that I could listen to twice. And to answer the previous comment... at least VH III had Fire In the Hole. Not a great song... but better than anything off of this turd.
Why is this here and not Van Halen III? - Nickelstickman
This album is an unique album... Everyone please listen this album... In this album has everything...
Whoever put this album on the list needs to be shot! It has so many genius songs like so far away, buried alive, nightmare, fiction, save me.
What is doing on here!?!?!?
I'm Not a Big Fan of A7X but this is one of their best albums and this shouldn't be number 1 Sounding the Seventh Trumpet has ABSOLUTELY no good songs on it and the fact it wasn't on the list along with The Spaghetti Incident? By Guns N' Roses and the fact that Rust In Peace and Master of Puppets is on the list just makes me lose faith in this website - christangrantV 7 Comments
I can agree that this album is pretty bad, but at least they made a good album after this. - Mumbizz01
My favorite band on this list, but Mustaine messed up on this one.
This album made me stop listening to megadeth, the only good song is prince of darkness but that's it
Ok 1. Lulu is not a a Metallica album 2. God hates us all is amazing 3. Megadeth ha many albums that are on the same level as risk. This list is messed up. People... - Sabbath
HOW IS God Hates Us All worse than Risk - christangrantV 2 Comments
I actually like this album. - Mumbizz01
How was this also not on the list this album has no good songs at all - christangrant
What new sound Metallica tried to capture on the black album was improved upon on Load. This was much better compared to the black album which was alright, but was unfocused and not as tightly woven as Load.
NO - awesomedp900
Laugh out loud top two is Metallica, I bet all the butt-hurt megadeth fans are celebrating (by the way I am in no way insulting megadeth I just love the wy Metallica fans and megadeth fans hate eachothers bands)
This album started the 3 horrid albums by Metallica which is why I think it is the worst album by great bands.V 4 Comments
Only metalcore band I'm into and their first album is their only bad one.
I love this band, but I can't listen to this album at all.
Their vocalist is a hypocrite, singing about Christian values then putting out a hit on his exwife. What a loser, and besides that they blow goat phallus
This album turned a really good metal band into radio rock trash.
The title tells you it isn't KISS and it is NOT KISS.
I'd rather listen to somebody puking
So bad it’s on here twice - awesomedp900
God hates whoever voted this
It's not good. Warzone is good but everything else is very disapointing.
This album sucks I'd threw this if I hear it.
Crap lyrics (ala King) god, war, hate... More war more hate, god blah blah, instantly forgettable riffs but performed well. Christ Illusion was a true return to form. I shudder to think how this next album is gonna shape up 100% king style.
The lyrics are pretty damn good but the sound is way too electronic
Hybrid Theory and Meteora were awesome. Minutes to Midnight had some flops, but some of LP's best songs. A Thousand Suns was a cool direction for the band to go in, and it also resulted in several great songs. But this album just sounds like LP ran out of ideas.
A thousand suns a cool way for the band to go? That was their worst selling and lowest rated album bro..
I would'nt say it's the worst but I do miss the heavier albums like TF and TDS
Judas Priest is a great band. This album however is just awful.
What was Ripper Owens thinking?
Notice the title of this list says Great metal bands. Now that's something Priest isn't. But yeah, Demolition is pretty bad, even by Priest's standards.
If judas priest is not a great metal band, there are no great metal bands
Whatt!? Thirteen was an amazing album! - winner333
What?!.. one of the singles from this album was nominated for grammys...
I am glad this album is here instead of Virtual XI. Everything from Virtual XI except TAatG beats everything from No Prayer for the Dying except Mother Russia. - Alkadikce
Worst by Iron Maiden
This is just the worst. It's bland, uninspired and forgettable. It suffers even more because it followed Sound of White Noise, which was amazing.
There was no Volume 8 on this list so I had to vote for this. This album is retarded, its full of meaningless songs and sounds like pantera rip-off.
Worst album by Anthrax but the record had a few high points.
Why Risk? Why Demolition? Why even Load? This record is much worse.
This album is amazing... - awesomedp900
RELOAD IS awesome UNFORGIVING 2 you kidding me you people don't know music
Ugh! Terrible, hate it!
Just as bad as load.
This band is terrible
Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band! But let's be honest, this album is a ripoff of Metallica. This means war is the perfect song to describe as a ripoff of Metallicas sad but true.
2 good songs Planets and Doing time oh and I forgot to say 3 haha Acid Rain< is that even on there?
Amazing band but this album sucks lets be honest this band sucks with ot the rev
It's not nearly as bad as the other albums on this list
Probably their weakest album
This is an Underrated album - christangrant
This was disappointing as hell! - EliHbk
This is a great album!
Even worse then unmasked
This album was awesome compared to demolition.
Cathedral Spires from this album is a masterpiece and one of the best metal vocal performances. - Metal_Treasure
Underrated not bad at all - christangrant
You have to be kidding me its Metallica's best album get it off the list.
Master of puppets is like one of the best metal albums! Metallica Rules
Who ever added this must be the dumbest person and that doesn't have the right to call himself a "Rock" Fan - christangrant
You have got to be kidding me right?
This is like their best album!
If somebody is trolling, great job, buddy, you're so good! If not, then he/she's an ass. - MrCheesesCousin
I hope whoever added this is joking. Rust In Peace is the greatest album of all time! - winner333
Get this off the list
Clearly trolling, one of the best metal albums ever madeV 1 Comment
A lot of people hate this band. I like them, but this album sucks.
It's got some interesting ideas, but the execution is just terrible. Most songs on here are just irritating and poorly made. The only good ones on here are Sweet Dreams and Rock N' Roll N*gger.
Not a bad album, but it's hard to listen to, because it keeps making you think of what it could've been. It could've topped War is the Answer. Jekyll and Hyde could've had less, "Oh e Oh e Oh's," in it. Boots and Blood could've had more variety, and the chorus could've been written better. The title track could've gotten its message across in a better way. So many things that could've been. It hurts.
The album is not even out yet - christangrant
