Worst Animated Primetime TV Comedies

For this list we look at shows that were aimed more towards adult that failed massively in the face of its audience watching or just had no good factors to it. Well let's travel back to the land of the many cartoon prime time shows that aired into the darkness that were just utterly terrible with zero taste of humor.
The Top Ten
1 Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon

The top choice is popular one that almost universally everyone can agree with. Adult Party was simply a nightmare that came in reality after the success of Ren & Stimpy on Nickelodeon eventually creator John K. got fired for a violent showing of Ren beating up George Liquor. Years later after the show finished its run he got a gig on SpikeTV (now called Paramount Network). Once the show would premiere he also had a best of to go with it which was mostly the more iconic episodes of the original incarnation, but to be honest I rather watch those than the the entire six episode count of this train wreck that is even way more disturbing to watch how wrong it was to see the down fall of something so unexpected turn out so atrocious I can see why Billy West did not wanna reprise Stimpy because it was awful to have this happen.

This had 1 season and 6 episodes.
Now Invader Zim might have a movie but beware if they decided to make an adult series of it in case it ended up like this.

2 Allen Gregory Allen Gregory is an American animated sitcom that aired Sundays at 8:30 pm on Fox from October 30 to December 18, 2011. The series was created by Jonah Hill, Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul.

Oh no, not again make it go away please. Allen Gregory was a show that tried way too hard when it first aired. The main character is very distasteful right from the start, and the only people you feel sorry for is those who did the voice acting. I mean it got killed quickly and rightfully so for something that's suppose to be of comedy I didn't laugh at anything of each episode that I seen it was indeed as bad as the scores precise to be. Definitely the worst show from Fox that they gave a chance to.

It's amazing this show even made it past the pilot.

3 King Star King King Star King is an American animated web series created by JJ Villard and Eric Kaplan for Adult Swim. The series aired on the network's online video streaming service Adult Swim Video on June 15, 2014.

The only people who find this funny would have to be on serious laughing gas like this is just one of those shows that just seems like a very bad stoner show of choice. The best way I can describe it to you its like a what if Flapjack was like this even more screwed up.

While this show isn't really funny and is very grotesque there's a lot of value in its art-style.

4 The Nutshack The Nutshack is an American adult animated sitcom created by Ramon Lopez, and co-created by Jesse Hernandez.

Well I'll give some credit for being original with its stereotype of an internet meme and for which its treated as a cruel joke knowing how bad the quality of it is overall. To be fair I have never heard of Myx T.V., but in way it counts because it aired on a single channel, and just for that its makes you wonder why other channels didn't pay attention to the show at all never giving it more spotlight.

The nutshack? More like the crappy nutshack

The best thing about it is the theme-song.

5 Mr. Pickles Mr. Pickles is an American animated television series created by Will Carsola and Dave Stewart for Adult Swim. The series revolves around the Goodman family, especially their 6-year-old son named Tommy and the family's border collie, the demonic Mr. Pickles. The series was picked up for 10 quarter-hour episodes for its first season, which premiered on the network on September 21, 2014, and ended on November 23, 2014. It was renewed for a second season, which premiered on April 17, 2016, and ended on June 26, 2016.

I don't find blood and gore to be a humorous blend especially an Adult Swim show like this. I mean the logo says it for how a Dog is suddenly this takes nothing from anybody as this 666 possessed dog I mean how is that funny in anyway?

Miserable shock-humor.

6 The Brothers Grunt The Brothers Grunt is a Canadian-American animated comedy television series by Ed, Edd n Eddy creator Danny Antonucci that originally aired from August 15, 1994 to April 9, 1995 on MTV.

I can't believed this was created by Danny Antonucci the same brilliant mind behind Ed, Edd n Eddy. This is literally the opposite of the good in fact its really horrible to look at. I get the humor, but for something on MTV it's the worst type of revolting characters to even look at like the last list, but still this is to extreme measures. The blood like eyes, and straight up looking at you in the face yikes that will be burned into my skull forever.

7 12 oz. Mouse Part of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block, "12 oz. Mouse" follows the animated adventures of Mouse Fitzgerald, an unapologetic drunken mouse with a background in espionage and a complete lack of memory.

Lazy animation, it tries too hard to being funny than it is by poor design choice.

8 Legends of Chamberlain Heights Legends of Chamberlain Heights is an American adult animated sitcom created by Brad Ableson, Mike Clements, Quinn Hawking, Josiah Johnson and Michael Starrbury.

Well as you can see this show was literally comedy it was a hit and miss at times, but as the episodes went on it got more and more uninteresting. I remember the one episode something to do with isis where the plot made no sense and it was not even funny like not even... I'm like why do shows like this need to be on is all I could think of.

9 Bordertown Bordertown is an American adult animated sitcom that aired on Fox from January 3, to May 22, 2016. The series was created by Family Guy writer Mark Hentemann, who also created 3 South on MTV, and executive-produced by Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane and follows two families living in a Southwest desert town on the United States–Mexico border.

No I don't mean the good drama It's a Hispanic version of Family Guy on Netflix. While I found none of their spinoff shows to be that funny as the original incarnation this one just came off as incredibly bad and offensive for the idea of it by title. I mean it sounds ridiculous right away, but yeah no this isn't very good go watch Big Mouth instead (yes I said it at least that had great writing).

10 Neighbors from Hell

This TBS late night show was actually not exactly based on its forgotten video game adaption it was more of its creation in which Pam Brady is most known being on South Park got her own short try at her own type of show. Unfortunately it was not all that good and I'll I was disappointed it got little success, but I can kinda see why by its humor being at times random. Not a lot of people knew of this show, but I felt the need to add this as it was a failure in my eyes.

The Contenders
11 Napoleon Dynamite

Its more less on the list due to being a disappointment, but also only having six episodes in its very short lived run.

This was real?

12 Assy McGee Assy McGee is an American animated television series that aired from 2006 to 2008 on Adult Swim. Created by Carl W. Adams and Matt Harrigan, the show focuses on Assy McGee, a detective who is literally a walking pair of buttocks. The series parodies cop dramas and has a decidedly adult focus, marked by dark humor and violence. Although divisive among audiences, the show gained a cult following for its outrageous premise and edgy jokes.

About a guy who's a literal @$$. Seriously, there's nothing above or in front!

13 Chozen

A FX failure once again, stars Bobby Moynihan playing a ''gay'' Caucasian rapper. His funny, but not in this oh my god this has to be the worst thing his ever done.

14 Drawn Together Drawn Together is an American adult animated sitcom which ran on Comedy Central from October 27, 2004 to November 14, 2007. The series was created by Dave Jeser and Matt Silverstein, and uses a sitcom format with a TV reality show setting.

Very immature, grotesque and sometimes homophobic/racist/etc. First two seasons were actually quite alright though, like an extra-naughty Family Guy. The third relies way too much on shock-humor though and lost any charm it might've had. The movie was an utter trainwreck with dreadful animation and even worse jokes. Shame, this has a lot of potential in concept.

15 Teen Titans Go! 'Teen Titans Go!' is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television show, 'Teen Titans'.

Same as the last one only its been on the channel literally every day on the channel which I really go ugh...

16 Sit Down, Shut up

To be fair this actually was funny at times I fought, but everybody else not so much. Seeing it was against heavyweights that include King of the Hill, Family Guy, and The Simpsons this show stood no chance. They would end up airing it way late on Fox, and the show met its demise alas, but I can see why it failed in many ways I mean the way the show looks very awkward as I vividly remember it live action pieces mixed with the animation (sounds like a Cartoon Network show I don't get the love for).

17 The Cleveland Show The Cleveland Show is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane, Richard Appel, and Mike Henry for the Fox Broadcasting Company as a spin-off of Family Guy.

Instead of sticking with regular black stereotypes, Seth McFarlane took it upon himself to create his own black stereotypes. I've never met one black person that talks like Cleveland, or Cleveland Jr, or the little boy. Just painting black people in a negative view with no rhyme or reason whatsoever. No moral to the story, just ignorant black characters just because. And their are plenty black people on this earth to voice black characters and write their own stories. Way to piss of your target demographic idiot Seth.

Give or take, It was funny at times, but not in a consistent way at least in my opinion. Would I have had it in the 10? No probably more like a contender (HM) at best.

I'm sorry, but Cleveland Brown shouldn't have gotten his own show.

18 Family Dog

No, Brian Griffin didn't get his own spinoff. This was a very short-lived attempt by CBS in the mid-90s to compete with "The Simpsons", with not ONE likeable character. Pretty sure Martin Mull leaves this off his CV.

19 Fish Police

In 1992, Hanna-Barbera got the bright idea to adapt the then-recently ended "Fish Police" comic book into an animated series so as to compete with "The Simpsons". Only six episodes got made, and of those only three even aired.

20 Capitol Critters

Had some mature content (the protagonist's parents and siblings getting killed, for starters) and aired in primetime, yet resembled a Disney Saturday morning cartoon too much. Also, toys of the characters were given with Burger King "kids club meals" (their equivalent of Happy Meals).

This was ABC's failed attempt to compete with "The Simpsons" the way "Family Dog" was CBS's. Though the problem with "Captitol Critters" was more that it didn't really know who its target audience was.

21 Ugly Americans Ugly Americans is an American animated sitcom created by Devin Clark and developed by David M. Stern. The program focuses on the life of Mark Lilly, a social worker employed by the Department of Integration, in an alternate reality version of New York City inhabited by monsters and other creatures.
22 Perfect Hair Forever
23 South Park South Park is an American adult animated sitcom created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone for the Comedy Central television network. The show is about four boys, who are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick, and their adventures in South Park, Colorado.

Overrated like Hell, has slowly been worsening ever since Season 10, and also did a lot of incredibly preachy SJW crap in recent years (like the whole Garrison Trump thing, for instance) but is still FAR from objectively belonging here

24 Breadwinners Breadwinners is an American animated television series created by Gary "Doodles" DiRaffaele and Steve Borst for Nickelodeon. ...read more.

It sucks anus, but it shouldn't be here since it was on Saturday mornings.

It's bad, but should be direct more on the ''Worst Kids T.V. Comedy shows.''

25 High School USA!

Animation ages a decade backwards, I didn't even know this existed until recently when I saw an episode of this and I'm like okay generic characters in high school.
