Top 10 Worst Animated Reboot Series

Here are some animated reboots that came from cartoons that sucked.
The Top Ten
1 The Looney Tunes Show The Looney Tunes Show is an American animated television series that premiered in 2011. It is a modern interpretation of the classic Looney Tunes characters, featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and others as they navigate contemporary suburban life. The show blends elements of comedy, drama, and adventure. The Looney Tunes Show received mixed reviews, with some praising its fresh take on iconic characters, while others missed the slapstick style of the original shorts.

This one is actually good. I love the new formula. It's different, but it's a nice change of pace, not everything has to be fast-paced violence... Sometimes, Bugs and Daffy can be chill.

This ones awesome just not that funny

2 The Berenstain Bears (2003)

Nah. this show was great. It's better than the other one. The 1985 one was kinda silly and Mama bear made military speeches for some reason. This show is better because it is closer to the books and funnier.

3 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is an American computer-animated interactive children's television series which aired from May 5, 2006, to November 6, 2016. The series, Disney Television Animation's first computer animated series, is aimed at preschoolers.

To be honest, this show isn't half bad. It can be boring for older folks. But, it's inoffensive.

Seriously? I love this show!

4 Total DramaRama Total DramaRama is a Canadian animated television series that premiered in 2018. It is a spin-off of the original Total Drama series and features younger versions of the characters attending daycare. Aimed at a younger audience, the show has a lighter tone and focuses on comedic and relatable scenarios. Total DramaRama has been praised for its humor and character development, appealing to both new and returning fans of the franchise.

Let's not talk about this. It's a forgettable cartoon.

Spinoff babies? In modern times? Really?

5 Teen Titans GO! 'Teen Titans Go!' is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television show, 'Teen Titans'.

Few really funny jokes, no seriousness, exaggerations of references, episodes very out of the reality of the show and changes in the personalities of all (Raven is the best example I can give, in many episodes she acted like she was a fool, idiot and joker, being that in the original, 90% of the show she is a serious character that makes her distinguish of the others, already here, I do not see difference of her between the Beast boy and Starfire)

I think what turns a lot of people (but not everyone! Some hate it for other reasons that I find understandable) against this show is that they view it as a failed sequel to the OG Teen Titans, but it never was really meant to be that. It's basically just its own thing but with TT characters. When you separate it from the OG show, it's really not too bad (nowhere near great either, but still). TTG can at least be enjoyed on its own, which is more than can be said for PPG 2016 and Ben 10 2017 (at least, in my opinion).

Oh gosh... THAT SHOW. Everyone else in my family seems to like it. It's an insult to anyone with a brain, Scooby Doo, and the original Titans. They should've just scrapped the franchise in the dumpster, as they would've died a seemingly perfect franchise instead of living to be a flawed franchise.

This show was the Adolf Hitler of Cartoon Network. I mean it took over the schedule as the show was very bad and we felt like many viewers are Jews from the Holocaust.

6 Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon"

This cartoon should be banned and they should take this show of the air and if a DVDs of this show exists and is still sold then it should be pulled of shelves and removed from websites.

This cartoon is even inappropriate for adults this cartoon is politically I think it should be banned.

Hands down, the worst reboot in existence. It manages to make Teen Titans Go look good in comparison.

Avoid this show at all costs side effects may include childhood ruined and crippling depression.

7 Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks

I will make the All Grown Up! comparison again, this is kind of some type of equivalent, as the Chipmunks are now going to school and doing stereotypical stuff. There are worse out there.

(If this is the Nickelodeon version) They don’t even LOOK like chipmunks! They’ve pretty much gone TEAM UMIZOOMI. Theodore is an oversensative dumb head, Alvin is one of the biggest cartoon jerks, and Britney became such a fashion geek. The only chipmunk I can stand is Simon. Alvin used to be a risk taker, but he felt relatable. Now he’s a jerk to his brothers. He left Theodore’s bike out a thunderstorm and destroyed Simon’s project. It feels like this show was originally about 3 boys and 3 girls but to gain popularity they made them smaller, gave them, and called it Alvin and the Chipmunks.

This show has creepy animation and the theme song from the 80's cartoon!

8 The Powerpuff Girls (2016) The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains. This show has an anime spinoff made in Japan, three specials, a movie in theatres, and a reboot. The show aired from 1998 to 2005.

We could have ended it at the movie, or the 2009 special, but no. Cartoon Network messed up really badly. The animation sucks, they got new voice actors, they got rid of Miss Bellum, made EVERYONE stupid, made the show focus on the girls,(who are the most boring part of the original), made the girls have bad personalities(no explination needed)

Seriously, they changed the Powerpuff girls a lot! Blossoms now the nerd, Bubbles just loves about everything but turns to her dark side, the worst part is that she switches her cute and demonic side way too often that it kills the joke, meanwhile Buttercup is the tomboy that is a b*tch! She's a bad example for kids, (She interrupted Ms Skein by talking about butt jokes) and she's a bully( that part where she wanted to throw someone away from a long distance, she fails, so she carries a student and tries throwing him away)

Anyways, I'm pretty sure that the episode Painbow pissed everybody off because of the twerking which went too far. Princess Buttercup skipped a lot of things. THE NARRARATOR IS RARELY USED! Which leads to the Powerpuff Girls no longer being heroes anymore.

The worst part about it, is the crime fighting. Hell even TTG has better crime fighting, because for example (when Blossom is gone) Buttercup and Bubbles get defeated without fighting for themselves. ...more

I gave this reboot a chance, I really did. But I hate to say that it SUCKS. It really is that bad. I mean sure, it's not the worst cartoon ever, but it really is bad.

For shame, Cartoon Network. You ruined one of your greatest Cartoon Cartoons ever.

9 The Magic School Bus Rides Again

This is a reboot I really hate, despite rumors, Ms. Frizzle wasn't redesigned, she was replaced with her sister... Ms. Frizzle. But the problems include bad animation, poor character voices and just overall cheesy plots.

The dislike ratio for the official trailer by Netflix is already overwhelmingly high. 27K to 14K dislikes as I type this comment! Other than that, unless the reboot has some educational value, everything from the poor animation quality to the awful casting of characters is absolutely disgraceful to the original show!

They got rid of Phoebe and Miss Frizzle!

Get this higher

10 The Wacky World of Tex Avery The Wacky World of Tex Avery is a French–American–Canadian animated comedy television series produced by DIC Entertainment and created by Robby London in 1997. The series was named after Tex Avery, a cartoonist who is known for his work at Warner Bros.

Whoever likes this trash show has no taste in cartoons and should be put in a mental asylum! This garbage is SO MUCH WORSE than Teen Titans Go, Powerpuff Girls 2016 and Yo Yogi combined! It makes all of them look like DuckTales 2017 in comparison!
GET THIS CRAP HIGHER!

For shame, Robby London of DiC Entertainment. For shame. This show made me rage in anger, that it felt like the 90s version of Fanboy and Chum Chum.

This is the Teen Titans Go! of Golden Age cartoons, I mean... seriously.

Not wacky at all!

The Contenders
11 Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

I was unfortunate enough to seen a few seconds of an episode...IT SUCKED! stop making reboots CN! Because they suck, haven't you learned that after Toddler Titans go!?!

The plots are good (sometimes bad) but the character designs. Sound like TTG solds Scooby Doo to Family Guy.

This show is utter bullcrap, I mean what is this animation, I like older one better

Is this the one with the crappy animation?

12 Ben 10 (2016) Ben 10 is a media franchise created by Man of Action Studios and produced by Cartoon Network Studios. The franchise revolves around a boy named Ben Tennyson who acquires a watch-like alien device, the Omnitrix, which allows him to transform into ten different alien creatures.

Probably not as bad as Teen Titans Go! or PPG (2016), but in either way, this is still a relatively bad reboot. And thus, the Big 3 of what are considered to be the worst reboots to ever come out of Cartoon Network have been born: TTG, PPG (2016), and Ben 10 (2016). Honestly, the only good reboot/revival in recent memory under Cartoon Network would be Samurai Jack Season 5. Going back to Ben 10 (2016), it's pretty much what you would expect from a piss-poor reboot of a beloved Cartoon Network franchise: cheap and simplistic Flash animation (and animation errors, at that), completely flanderized characters that are now one-dimensional cardboard cutouts compared to their more complex and three-dimensional counterparts from the original, an emphasis on more comedy rather than action that actually seems to be more of a step in the wrong direction rather than the right, disregard and a complete lack of acknowledgement for the original source material and in-universe lore, and to top it all ...more

One of the worst things Cartoon Network ever made (and the other Ben 10 shows were already bad).

13 Sonic Underground

I actually really liked this show. The songs were catchy and it really got me mad they never resolved the story. AOSTH is FAR worse than underground. At least underground tried to have dramatic storylines.

Even worse than Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic Sat AM was way better.

I wouldn't count it as a reboot, but OK... this one is still terrible.

The only bad Sonic cartoon so far.

14 Yo Yogi!

The old cartoon was my childhood (yes, I liked watching old cartoons like the original Yogi Bear and The Flintstones). This is...no.

I don't like how Yogi and his friends became teenagers.

15 Sonic Boom Sonic Boom is a computer-animated television series, produced by Sega of America, Inc. and Technicolor Animation Productions in collaboration with Lagardère Thématiques and Jeunesse TV, respectively for Cartoon Network, Canal J, and Gulli.

I actually enjoyed this more than Sonic X. Sonic X had a terrible English Dub and inappropriate Japanese Dub. Sonic Boom however is both funny and filled with action. The voice acting is really good compared to Sonic X and it ended up being much more successful then the Sonic Boom video games

This series is good for it's jokes about the franchise, but low on plot. Kind of like Teen Titans Go! done right.

All characters are acting weird as uncle grandpa

16 Baby Looney Tunes Baby Looney Tunes is an American animated television series taking place in an alternate universe depicting the Looney Tunes characters as toddler and preschool versions of themselves. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

The only reason people even LIKE this show is out of nostalgia. This is the absolute REVERSAL of All Grown Up (which I do like, but some say it's terrible) in the worst way possible just like how Loonatics is the REVERSAL of Teen Titans Go!...
Looney Tunes has seen crap.

Worse than wabbit and Looney Tunes Show
They made it educational and look like Looney Tunes are for little kids
And their crying is annoying

At least this show is better than Rugrats All Grown Up. This show was a huge part of my childhood.

Why make Looney Tunes into babies?

17 Ducktales

You have to be kidding. This is the only good reboot that ever made and it didn't destroy my childhood.

Actually one of the best ones I've seen. Its quality to comparable to the old show.

This is the best reboot. Calling it trash is ridiculous.

Season 3 has just been confirmed. So much for wishing it to die.

18 Powerpuff Girls Z Powerpuff Girls Z is a Japanese magical girl anime series directed by Megumu Ishiguro, based on the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. The anime is co-produced by Cartoon Network Japan and Aniplex and was animated and produced by Toei Animation, featuring character design by Miho Shimogasa who is also the character designer of Cutie Honey Flash and Ultra Maniac and one of the animation directors of the Sailor Moon original anime franchise. As production occurred in Tokyo, Japan, Craig McCracken who is the original creator of The Powerpuff Girls was not directly involved with the project. ...read more.

Well, another line of talking about crap or not-so-crap reboots... first is PPG Z... NO! This series is just weird. People say Japan does Western Animation better than the other way around... So they'd take this better than Super Show? Nah...

For anyone complaining about PPG 16 watch this trainwreck complete with hyper sexualized transformation sequences for the pedophilia fanboys

I Just Put It On Here Because I Don't Hate it It's Just Not My Thing.

19 Disney's Doug

This wasn't a spin off, Doug was just moved to another channel. Oh and The Beets are not the greatest fictional band ever.

I realized how this show is so hated compared to the original Nickelodeon show!

This show is just AS bad as the original nick show.

It's more of a continuation than a reboot tho.

20 Dora and Friends: Into the City Dora and Friends: Into the City! is an American CGI interactive educational animated television series.

Dora is a huge guilty pleasure of mine, but this reboot erases what made the original so magical and nostalgic. This show is born on the idea of selling toys and dolls. That's all it is.

Now I actually kind of like the original but this one is just so boring and the only good thing is the art style

Can't they make a dora show where Dora doesn't ask stupid questions?

21 Wabbit

It's an okay show but I don't know I still need to ask some questions:

Where are all other characters go? Other characters left was only Bugs Bunny, Wile E Coyote and Yosemite Sam. But I'm really glad all the characters are back from the New Looney Tunes but the character designs need some fix just to prevent to suspect by audience thinking it's another "henchmen" of Teen Titans GO! (heil).

A squirrel friend for the main protagonist? Wow, how original. Like I haven't seen that since SpongeBob SquarePants and Squirrel Boy! Not to mention I can already tell it's bad since it has a low score on IMDb.com!

I actually like this reboot. Bugs got his original personality back, the art style is original and it does make laugh a lot.

The show isn't as bad as Loonatics Unleashed, but it's pretty forgettable, and the redesigns are hit-or-miss.

22 Pinky, Elmyra & the Brain

This one I'm on the fence with. I mean, I like the original Pinky and the Brain segments from Animaniacs and also their spin-off series. But I just don't know.

At least it had cleverly written 90's franchise parodies like "The Tiger Prince" and "TeleChubbies"

Nah didn't even make many episodes. Gonna have a tantrum with the Animaniacs reboot? That's not a question.

Remember, everyone: "It's what the network wants, why bother to complain? "

23 My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated children's television series based on the fourth incarnation of Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise. The show follows a studious unicorn (later an alicorn) pony named Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong) and her friends Applejack (Ashleigh Ball), Rarity (Tabitha St. Germain), Fluttershy (Andrea Libman), Rainbow Dash (Ball), Pinkie Pie (Libman), and dragon assistant Spike (Cathy Weseluck). They travel on adventures and help others around Equestria while solving problems that arise in their own friendships.

This is actually good compared to the old ones but the fandom is JUST annoying us though

The bronies can be jerks sometimes but this is an amazing show! How did it make the list?

This is one of the reboots where the reboot is better than the original

I hate this show. I miss the classic old one the really 1st one was my childhood and it is for anyone. I also like the one with minty, cotton candy and toose other old characters and old styles of pinkie pie and rainbow dash were so much nicer and more styled and friendship fun. and I also liked the reboot with star song, sweetie belle, and the other great characters were the best and had males even in their. mlp fim sucks! tiwly sparkle ruined her self to an selfish princess. fluttershy is so an girly idot. pinkie pie is even more an idot than fluttershy. pinkie pie is so stupid and she is trying to copy of crazy awesome male animal characters. apple jack is to tuff like buttercup. but apple jack is not that bad. she is the best! I still LOVE her. rainbow dash is to SASSY I hate her and she and pinkie pie are my least. rairty is an cry baby like fluttershy and she is super girly and crys like an stupid little squrriel. but I like the my little pony movie that rocks! and acts super ...more

24 Thundercats Roar

A show so infamously unlike the original that it got the boot quick.

25 Animaniacs (2020)

Besides the needless political references (and yes, I've watched the original, and besides a few references to Bill Clinton in like... once in the intro and... every few episodes, not political.), this one's great.

Just because it's a reboot?

I mean, 2014 Tom And Jerry reboot is spectacular!

This reboot is great.
