Top 10 Worst Animated Shows that Debuted in the 70segnomac Considered by many to be the worst decade for animation the 70's brought a lot of really horrible cartoons many being wither a terrible spin off, a rip off, or based off celebrity's.
The Top Ten
A completely toned down version of the original classic where both Tom and Jerry are friends as they get in all sorts of situations only with none of the charm and humor of the original Hannah Barbara classics, but then again due to censorship at the time that didn't allow any kind of violence on T.V. and of course the show will suck. - egnomac
They made a Reboot of this in 2014 - 23windomt
Even Hanna-Barbera themselves hated this cartoon. - egnomac
It's amazing how people like to complain about how bad today's cartoons are and that cartoons were so much better in the past. The opposite is true, especially when looking at cartoons from the 60's through the mid-80's.
As for The Tom and Jerry Show, it was about as close to airing static that a T.V. channel could possibly air without actually airing static.
A cartoon based on the Harlem Globtrotters as superheroes sounded bad even on paper. - egnomac
Poor Impossibles, having their powers copied by this atrocious cartoon. :(
Apparently this was a thing back in the 70's Fred and Barney from the Flintstones and Fantastic Fours The Thing together in the same show. - egnomac
A cartoon about a cat who's lost all but one of his lives and is in constant terror of losing his last life and making things worst any time Fraidy inadvertently says a number from 1-8 or any word that sound or rhymes with a number then a ghost from one of his eight lives pops up to make his life even worst and that's pretty much the joke of the whole series and you'll also notice the animation is incredibly cheap due to television animation at the time not being profitable at the time meaning that they had to cut corners every chance they got and like a majority of cartoons of the 70's it has a laugh track which gets used way too much. - egnomac
A cartoon about the three stooges as superheroes sounds familiar to another entry on this list. - egnomac
Anytime in the 70's where decide to base a cartoon on a celebrity or group its always going to be bad add in the awful laugh track and and you get this mess. - egnomac
Basically a cheap imitation of Scooby Doo including the use of a talking dog character. - egnomac
Ripoff of scooby doo
Scooby Doo spinoff - 23windomt
This show was from the 80's not the 70's. - egnomac
Awful - 445956
A cartoon set in a world where cars and motorcycles talk and its about a gang of motorcycles who cause trouble for the main protagonist Wheelie the whole idea of this show is down right ridicules. - egnomac
How sad? Lol. This was my absolute favorite when I was 4 years old. - THC13
A spin off of the Archie cartoons more heavy on the education and lacks the music and humor of the original. - egnomac
WHY DOES SCRAPPY DOO GET SO MUCH HATE WHEN WOOFER AND WHIMPER ARE SO MUCH WORSE?
HATE THIS CARTOON! HATE IT! HAATTTE IT! Dotty is the ONLY good character as well as the only redeemable factor from this atrocity. Say what you will about Goober and other Scooby "clones" [I don't agree with that term, as I think each mystery solving show minus Clue Club have unique features] but at least the characters there WERE LIKABLE! Clue Club sucks altogether. Larry is so bossy and annoying, D.D is a whimp, Pepper's voice makes my ears bleed, the sherrif is incompetent, AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED AND WHOOFER AND WHIMPER! Poor Dotty, having to be stuck with a bunch of losers, perhaps the Speed Buggy crew could adopt her!
