Top Ten Worst Anime Worlds to Live In

You ever watch that one anime when you give a sigh of relief and thank the heavens that you don't like there? I know I have. But which one was the worse? Now, I'm not saying that these anime worlds are bad but the world they live itself is bad. I'll put in ten recommendations and let you do the rest.

The Top Ten

1 Attack on Titan Attack on Titan, also known as Shingeki no Kyojin in Japanese, created by Hajime Isayama, is one of the most popular Japanese anime series to be released. It was first watched in Japan during 2013 and was dubbed in English to be watched in America in 2014. It is best known for its emotional moments, more.

You tell me, would you want to live in a world where giant naked like humans run around eating any human it sees? If you say yes, you need to be set to a mental institute.

I don't want to be eaten by giant naked zombie like creatures. Living in constant fear of the titans attacking probably would scare the daylights out of everyone. - RoseRedFlower

I'm pretty sure nobody wants to live in a world where you can be eaten by a giant titan at any moment.

I'm that kind of person where I'm probably dies first in this kind of world. Like, in 2 seconds right after the titans appear. So yeah that explains everything, right?

2 Berserk Berserk, also known as Sword-Wind Chronicle Berserk, is a Japanese anime television series that aired from 1997 to 1998. An adaptation of the manga Berserk, it comprises 25 half-hour episodes produced by Oriental Light and Magic and first aired on Nippon TV.

I like this anime. However, keep me far away from this world because I don't want to have anything to do with it. - RoseRedFlower

O god the horror of the apostles

I had a hard time choosing between AOT & Berserk.

But living in a medieval period with demonic monsters and endless cases of deaths, wars and rape? Love this manga series, but definitely not an ideal fantasy world that readers wish to live in.

3 Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. Dragon Ball Z teaches valuable more.

People die in this world all the time and the world itself is always facing the 'end of the world' crisis at every second. - RoseRedFlower

People die all the time, but they get revived all the time as well. If I am a decently powerful Z fighter, I'd love to live in DBZ. But if I am a normal human, then no thank you, I don't wanna die yet. - Goku02

To my opinion, the Earth is the most peaceful in this world, but the rest are very awful to live in. If Goku and friends were never around, the Earth would be very dangerous.

You won't last five minutes in this world without getting vaporized. - alphadan12

4 Boku No Pico Boku no Pico is an anime series of three OVA episodes created by Katsuhiko Takayama. It was released to DVD on September 17, 2006.

A world where pedophilia is okay. It's pretty self-explanatory why it's bad. - olliv

It’s such a terrible anime... ewww

5 Violence Jack

A surrounding area that was cut off from the rest of the world by an earthquake. So the remaining survivors have to survive. It's split between those they consider strong and those they consider weak. And there's groups of killers and rapists running around too. - RoseRedFlower

I'd love to live here...if I was a ghoul - TwilightKitsune

A world where ghouls need human flesh to thanks. - RoseRedFlower

I know.Who would want to live in this.-LitSavage

7 Dragon Ball Z Dragon Ball Z is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, defends the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and reinforce the concept of good versus evil. A great anime that's also got a horrible world attached to it. Vampires, demons, mutants and insane people. - RoseRedFlower

10 Highschool of the Dead Highschool of the Dead, known in Japan as Apocalyptic Academy: Highschool of the Dead, is a Japanese manga series written by Daisuke Satō and illustrated by Shōji Satō.

The Contenders

The government in this anime is all you need to look at to know it's corrupt. The Prime Minister stuffs his face with delicious food while his citizens starve. Plus the empire they live in is just violent and cruel. - RoseRedFlower

It might be safe if the crazy survival game wasn't going. Where you can be killed at any moment and have your world be destroyed by the God of Time. - RoseRedFlower

This would be a very bad world to live in since the survival game and you could be killed in all the chaos that's going on

17 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets.

The first anime world I ever thing I'm joining would be the Pokemon universe. Like yeah there is dangerous Pokemon, but you can get Pokemon to protect you. Humans in Pokemon seem more durable than real life humans since they can be electrocuted and be fine. So yeah, compared to other anime worlds on this list, Pokemon is pretty tame. - Rue

I would totally live here. While the anime is repetitive and boring, training Pokemon seems so cool and you're basically invincible. Nobody ever ages or dies. - RisingMoon

You can't even walk in the grass without being attacked by a wild, flaming animal. - EliHbk

To be honest I would live here. But that's my opinion. - RoseRedFlower

18 Death Note Death Note is a Japanese television drama series based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The show is centered around Light Yagami - a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of "justice".

What a lovely day! *has a heart attack and dies* - HoneyClover

19 Dangan Ronpa Danganronpa: The Animation is a 2013 anime television series based on Spike Chunsoft's murder mystery video game, Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc.

Should be in the top ten at least, I mean seriously! This world is full of chaos, in one of the games, kids are literally killing their parents! You could be having the best day in the world when suddenly your in a school room with other kids. And the executions? Oh god, imagine being in one of those! Creepy as heck.

I can't believe Dangan Ronpa isn't higher on this list! If you live outside of the school, you're dead. If you live in the school, you'll probably be killed by another student or have to kill one of them yourself just to survive! And then once some one dies, you have to go through a trial and you could die there too! Dangan Ronpa is a scary Anime world to live in! SCARY!

I wonder what is the most horrible: already living in a horrible world or a place where suddenly everything became insane?
And if murders, massacres and suicides everywhere isn’t enough, you also have giant teddy bears destroying cities, little ones killing people in the street.
To be honest, if I learn that people have been rape and eat by Gundham’s hamsters I wouldn’t even be surprise… Yes, in Danganronpa, the only limit is human imagination. Not even logic can stop the glory of making everybody feel despair.
At least, in the first case you already used to. But in the second case, you suddenly lose everything you ever had with insane people playing with your feelings. The murderer of your own family could be you because you had tricked or became paranoid or been brainwashed or simply be kill with what you loved the most.

For me AOT is a safer world than all this (especially if you live at the right place).

20 Elfen Lied Elfen Lied is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Lynn Okamoto. It was originally serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump from June 2002 to August 2005, with the 107 chapters collected into twelve tankōbon volumes.

We make fun of Shinji Ikari, but if we lived in this world, we'd be similar to Shinji Ikari. - Rue

I'd be more of a wimp than Shinji Ikari himself if I was forced to live and fight in this anime series. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

22 Deadman Wonderland Deadman Wonderland is a Japanese manga series written by Jinsei Kataoka and illustrated by Kazuma Kondou, who also wrote and illustrated the Eureka Seven manga, and published in Shōnen Ace since 2008.

You forgot to put this on the list? I get that being a guest visiting the titular amusement park in the anime sounds harmless, but as for life inside the prison section of the amusement park, it's essentially a hellish slaughterhouse inside of there! Prisoners are regularly pushed to the limit as they must compete in games to keep themselves from dying a painful and bloody death at the hands of poisoning necklaces while still trying to avoid killing themselves in the obstacles of the games. As for the Deadmen, they're literally pitted against each other like chickens in a cockfight as they fight to the death. Oh, and the psychological torment is INSANE. Better hope the Wretched Egg doesn't come to your nearest school or work location to frame you and get you put into the Deadman Wonderland facility! - ModernSpongeBobSucks

Steer clear of incurring Saitama's power and you'll be okay. As for the villains, you better be begging for his help. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

This is one of my favorite anime but thing is I don't want to be walking around town being happy only to be crushed or blow up all of a sudden

24 Hellsing Hellsing is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano. It premiered in Young King OURs in 1997 and ended in September 2008.

I mean, it looks fun to learn how to be a wizard and join a guild, but I don't think anyone can handle Natsu's destructive nature or constant attacks from villains.

A world full of losers who take weeks to fight some guys. Fun.

Take weeks to fight some guys? What? Where are you getting that from? - Hiten

26 Your Lie In April Your Lie in April, known in Japan as Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso or just simply Kimiuso, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoshi Arakawa.

Who ever put this here is mentally retarded

Looks like a fun slice of life. How is bad?

It also has 3 movies, more.

I love this anime, but If you really live in the Puella Magi Universe and you ever encounter Kyuubey and he asks to form a contract with you to be a magical girl, you better say 'NO'. Unless you want to end up falling in despair and turning into a witch. And the magical girls, who may even were your allies/friends when you were still a Puella Magi might be the one who'll kill you and take your grief seed to purify their own soul gem and once your grief seed is full, they will feed it to Kyuubey. - MLPFan

29 Danmachi

How? Doesn't seem dangerous to me. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

The first season is divided into two arcs known as "Aincrad" and "Fairy Dance". more.

#39?!?! You step out of line in a videogame ONE TIME and you're dead! Besides, a world where hospitals are vacant at night (see episode 24) must be HORRIBLE.

Even though I'm mixed on this anime, I would love to live in a world where I can be in a video game and be a badass - Mcgillacuddy

To be honest, this is another anime world I would love to live in next to Pokémon. While the danger of dying in-game and subsequently in real life is at its most threatening in the Aincrad arc (as that's the only VRMMORPG where you can die for real), all you have to do is pretty much level grind and you'll be fine. And even if you couldn't, you could just relax and live life peacefully on the sidelines and admire the lush and beautiful scenery of Aincrad whether it be the meadow and the falls on the first floor, a garden full of vibrant and blooming flowers, a lake where you can even rent a log cabin in, and so much more! Honestly, I'd only be in real danger if I accidentally got trapped in a dungeon at a low level and couldn't fend for myself against monsters. Probably gonna need Kirito to help train me on this one. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

32 Bokurano

From what the other guy said the only world that I could think of that's worse (MORE miserable to live in) than this one would be one From an anime titled 'Now and Then, Here and There" a deconstruction of the "trapped in another world" genre. Info is on T.V. Tropes.

Surely the most miserable anime world ever created, discounting every Hentai ever of course.

33 Hunter x Hunter

A world where people can die from insects and live on a tiny part of the world... No thanks

34 Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend
35 Yamishibai: Japanese Ghost Stories

36 The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
37 Mob Psycho 100

I wouldn't mind living in this world, actually. Having psychic powers would be pretty cool, though. - Mcgillacuddy

All sorts of crazy goes on with this one, basically being the psychic One Punch Man. - SelfDestruct
