Top 10 Worst Arthur Season 1-2 Episodes
While Arthur started off on a good note like every other cartoon show in its early years there are bound to be a couple of dud episodes and seeing as there aren't nearly enough bad season 1 episodes to make a full top 10 list, I've decides to combine both season 1 and 2 to find the worst episodes of these seasons.
This episode is just annoying as D.W. after not being invited to a party for a kid she's not even friends with throws a massive tantrum and begins acting rudely to everyone while mom and dad once again do nothing to get her to stop and if that's not enough D.W. is never punished for her actions and is rewarded by being invited to Francine's birthday party.
Dad: Lets hope you feel better in the morning
D.W.: "I WON'T FEEL BETTER IN THE MORNING (slams the door)
"I WON'T, I WON'T, I WON'T (continues slamming the door)
"I WON'T! (repeatedly slams the door)
I've already talked about this episode a lot on the TopTens but just to recap Francine invites Muffy to stay with her family while they're replacing the carpets since she is allergic to them and for a lot of the episode Muffy acts incredibly selfish and rude complaining about every single thing and Francine becomes so fed up with her attitude that she tells her to leave and Muffy throws a huge fit saying she's glad to leave and that she's tired of being poor.
Arthur is unfairly punished when a bag of quarters for a fundraiser goes missing and Buster becomes a detective to find out who stole them before Arthur is forced to serve detention and miss out on the picnic, the reasons why this episode fails is 1. Buster is the one who got Arthur in trouble when he decided to butt when Mr. Haney was asking him about the quarters 2. Arthur's parents are never brought in to come to Arthur's defense and last Arthur is immediately punished without any proof that he stole the quarters.
Another bad D.W. centered episode that sees her annoy Arthur by playing her Crazy Bus CD really loudly non stop all the while her parents never tell her to stop or turn the volume down, Arthur is so annoyed by this that he threatens to destroy her CD if she doesn't stop and she cries to mom and dad who unfairly punish Arthur and making matters worse D.W.'s Crazy Bus CD goes missing and she immediately accuses Arthur of stealing it and instead of resolving the conflict mom and dad leave them alone with the babysitter Catherine while they go out which leads to D.W. to continuing to harass Arthur and even destroys his whole room looking for her CD which leads to Catherine to divide the house making each of them stay on their own side but even that doesn't stop them from fighting as Arthur attempts to get his jacket which is on D.W.'s side of the couch as the two tug on it, its later revealed that dad was the one who took the CD and despite having her CD back D.W. never apologizes to ...more
D.W. I'm trying to do my homework and there's no such word as busalooey, "IF YOU DON'T STOP I'M GONNA WRECK THAT CD! "
D.W. is sent to her room for threatening to pinch her sister Kate after she keeps trying to take her toys and D.W. spends the entire episode complaining about how she is constantly being punished by her parents which is false as she recalls past events and altering them to make it look like she is being treated unfairly just to get sympathy from the audience.
Arthur's friend the Brain stays with his family while his parents are away and everyone begins favoring Brain making Arthur feel inferior.
The episode starts during a hockey game where Francine who acts very controlling with her team at one point she literally steals the puck from Arthur whose on her team and when they complain about it she responds by saying that Binky's team is tough and will gladly give them the puck if they want to lose later Muffy gets the puck and Arthur tells her to shoot while Francine tells her to pass it to her Muffy attempts to shoot but it gets intercepted and they lose the game which really upsets Francine, fed up with her behavior Muffy makes a bet with her to be nice to everyone for a whole week and also tells her she's not allowed to tell anyone about the bet, Francine begins acting nice to everyone which baffles them and leads to them worrying that she may pop if she continues to bottle up her anger so they try to make her lose her temper on purpose to no avail they ask Muffy who tells them that there's nothing wrong with Francine and that she'll be back to her old self tomorrow which ...more
Arthur buys a new board game "No Guessing" but is unable to win a single game so he resorts to cheating and starts becoming a sore winner annoying everyone so they get Binky to play against him in hopes he'll beat him since he cheats so everything will go back to normal, but this plan begins to fail as Binky dosne't know how to cheat at the game and when Arthur gets a question wrong everyone cheers against him as Fern explains to him that everyone wants to see him lose because he's been acting like a jerk, knowing he can't possibly lose he then decides to cheat to help Binky win which he does and eventually everyone finds out that Arthur has been cheating and scold him for it but never ask why he was cheating in the first place.
Arthur convinces the tough customers who are made up of Binky and his friends that he's the worlds greatest gleeper unaware that gleeper means a person who steals, things go from bad to worse when the tough customers dare him to prove that he's the world's greatest gleeper by stealing all of the ice cream from the cafeteria Arthur actually tries to go through with it but is caught by Mrs. Mcgrady and after realizes how wrong it is to steal the ice cream he confesses to the tough customers about lying about being a gleeper and they of course turn on him, pretty terrible episode.
Buster becomes a hero after he allegedly saved a cat from a tree but in reality the cat literally jumped into his arms attracted to his fish sticks ice cream and Buster completely lets the fame go to his head and acts like a big shot so much so that it ends up annoying his friends who after learning that Buster did absolutely nothing and that the cat just jumped into his arm they expose Buster's for the fraud that he is by using a robot cat and fails to save it but just when it seems like Buster has learned his lesson he ends up saving Arthur and Francine from a runaway piano and is declared a hero and again lets the fame go to his head meaning he learned nothing.
Hate this episode, D.W. forces Arthur into helping her find her missing blankie by blackmailing him.
