Worst Award Snubs Of All Time
This is a list of the worst award Snubs of all time. Awards of any categories whether it's music awards, movie awards, sports awards or any kind of awards are eligible for this list. Now it is just a matter of opinion on who deserves an award & who doesn't. Also you find none of these items as snubs then vote for your favorite item because it took me a lot of time to do my research, fact-check all the nominations etc. Thank youVenue: Grammy Awards 1989
Winner: Crest of a Knave by Jethro Tull.
The biggest problem here is that Jethro Tull music did not belong in the hard rock or heavy metal genres, even according to Jethro Tull themselves.
The Grammy Committee got a lot of criticism and this case is still considered as one of the biggest Grammy upsets.
It should of been the winner for being the first superhero Film to win the motion picture at the Oscars instead they pick a Bollywood type film.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined
Venue: Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony 2018
Inductees: Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Iron Maiden should have been inducted long ago so this isn't a problem of the 2018 Ceremony only.
I agree, because: 1) Guns N' Roses aren't metal; 2) the video to One is much more meaningful
Venue: MTV Video Music Awards 1989
Winner: "Sweet Child O' Mine" by Guns N' Roses
He came empty handed many times..when he really deserved all those Oscars.
And "As good as it gets" wasn't even good..Nicholson didn't do any fab job.
Leo deserved the Oscar for Aviator ( has anyone seen the movie? Saw how he dived into the story and character? ), Who's eating Gilbert Grape ( that role was damn hard to play ), Departed, Revolutionary Road, Django Unchained and of course Titanic.
What's even funnier is that he wasn't even nominated for the Oscar.
Venue: Oscar Awards 1997
Winner: Jack Nicholson (As Good as It Gets)
This was a mistake the Metal Grammy Committee made. The Committee got a lot of criticism in 1989-90 for giving the metal Grammy to Jethro Tull (not even a metal band) and not to Metallica. I guess The Committee tried to fix the mistake in 1991 but made another mistake. Stone Cold Crazy is a very good Queen cover but it's a cover, not original metal song. In general, the Metal Grammys are such a joke. Hate 'Em All 😊.
Venue: Grammy Awards 1991
Winner: Stone Cold Crazy By Metallica (Queen Cover)
Venue: Grammy Awards 1970
Winner: Self-titled album By Blood, Sweat & Tears
Venue: BAFTA Awards 1995
Winner: Hugh Grant (Four Weddings and a Funeral)
I disagree with this.
Every Breath You Take is one of the most loved and best selling tracks of all time.
It's iconic, like no other.
Venue: Grammy Awards 1984
Winner: "Every Breath You Take" By The Police
Venue: Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony 2018
Inductees: Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits, The Moody Blues, Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
Venue: Grammy Awards 2001
Winner: Two Against Nature By Steely Dan
Venue: Grammy Awards 1993
Winner: Nine Inch Nails' "Wish"
Nine Inch Nails aren't even a metal band.
As much as I don't think Brave was a bad film, I think Wreck-it Ralph was more deserving of it.
In no way 1989 is better than this. TPAB is a masterpiece that will be remembered for years and years to come while people are already forgetting that 1989 was a thing
This should be significantly higher.
I mean come on
Venue: Grammy Awards 1992
Winner: Black Album By Metallica
Venue: Oscar Awards 1999
Winner: Shakespeare in Love
Venue: Oscar Awards 2015
Winner: 'Big Hero 6'
Not only should 'The Lego Movie' have been nominated but it should've been the winner. It was much better than 'Big Hero 6'.
Actually I love both of these films. BH6 is probably my favorite Disney animated movie not including pixar, but TLM, sorry, it's one of the greatest movies of all time
Dare I Point out that Mary Poppins Returns was never really a contender in the Comedy/Musical category. It was Green Book's to lose much to the dismay of the Crazy Rich Asians fan club.
Venue: Golden Globes 2019.
Winners: Mamma Mia & Bohemian Rhapsody.
Inductees: Emily Blunt, Lin Manual Miranda, Dick Van Dyke.
