They literally just take riffs and solos from other songs, and just add Christian lyrics. - ElectricCorpseSlayer
Portishead has no business being on this list. Their debut album, Dummy, is widely regarded as the greatest Trip Hop album. It is also often included among albums such as Blonde on Blonde, by Bob Dylan; Wish You Were Here, by Pink Floyd; And Kind of Blue, by Miles Davis for best albums of all time by well listened critics and communities.
I thought Video Killed the Radio Star was pretty good. - Drewman1211
Can't sing, just a bunch of auto-tuned teenagers desperate for attention who'll never be like the "cool" kids.
Who likes these kids. Looks to me like a three way gone wrong
All their songs are pandering, which wouldn't be THAT big of an issue if the songs had some life and didn't put you to sleep!
Judas Priest? The hell?
System of a Down is amazing! Who the hell put it on this list!?
My consolation for Rush being on this list is the fact that they are currently at 192. Personally, I love Rush. That being said, beauty (or in this case, good music) is in the eye of the beholder. A lot of people criticize Rush for Geddy's voice (an acquired taste, which I like) or weird/cheesy lyrics ("The Trees" especially gets some hate for this if you just look at the lyrics once), which is understandable. But before you blindly hate for things like that, you have to analyze the band as a whole. Alex, Geddy, and Neil are some of the best musicians on their respective instruments, and are able to perfectly showcase their talents without seeming boring or repetitive. The lyrics aren't your typical rock'n'roll type shtick, either. They deal with a lot deeper subjects than the norm, such as the pressures of living in the limelight, the death of a loved one, some mythology/space themes (which gets some criticism), and corruption in the music industry and world as a whole. ...more
OK, I guess people on the internet and especially this site have been voting only for bands they don't like not bands that are REALLY the worst ever. Classic rock bands are remembered for a reason; their music has survived time and was not forgotten like the real bad bands have been. Being popular doesn't mean being bad. Whether they are good at all is a matter of taste.
Having bands like classic rock bands in this list is ridiculous.
You really want the worst band ever? Look up the Black Out Band.
I really love this band there very talented and are the most popular band in rock plus who ever put slipknot slayer foo fighters and megadeth on here are no fun
I will bow to this band and blow them as soon as they start selling 'Rush' amyl nitrate stimulant bottles and drinks...I figure anyone spending so much on equipment to compensate for not talent ought to be outed as musical transvestites on speed anyway.V 8 Comments
Well bloody hell! Why is Evanescence on here? If they are really that bad, how are Bring Me to Life and My Immortal still playing on Top 40 radio?!
Slow and whiny songs. They do have talent, but throw it away. Their biggest hit "Wake Me Up Inside" is awful at the beginning with the soft whisper-like singing, but the chorus is amazing. Amy Lee also worked perfect in the Seether song "Broken".
The song is called "Bring Me to Life". And you overreacting with the slow opening. - DCfnaf
Plain and simple? They're posers. They shouldn't be classified as metal when they are really just hip hop with guitars.
There amazing that they make me cry almostV 11 Comments
I actually really enjoy Twenty One Pilots' music. And no, I'm not an edgy fourteen year girl who thinks that they're the most tormented person on the planet. I've grown up listening to some of the greatest rock bands of all time, and I honestly can say that Twenty One Pilots is a unique breath of fresh air on the otherwise boring popular music scene. I don't think that I've seen a band to incorporate as many different styles in their music since Sublime. Twenty One Pilots can go from hip hop to pop to rock to reggae to electronic and back again. They sound like no other artist I've ever listened to and I greatly appreciate their experimental view on making music. - phillysports
Okay yes this band is a new band. But so far their music has saved my life and has helped me when no one else would. Their lyrics have so much meaning and aren't about partying, being young, sex, drugs etc. Tyler and Josh have put a lot of work into the band and I hate anyone who thinks otherwise. If anyone disagrees you can go jump off a cliff because they have saved my life and many others. Peace out .
"SOMEBODY Stole MY CAR RADIO AND NOW I JUST SIT IN SILENCE! "
No real creativity or uniqueness. Their lyrics are pretty much the same as any other band from earlier. They don't change the rock game one bit. Compare them to other bands when they were young/just beginning and you'll realize they're just another generic band. Bands like The Who and The Doors while they were still fresh (this was the 60s). If you're looking for better rock duos, I'd suggest The Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, The White Stripes, and The Black Keys. You're welcome. - naFrovivuS
LOL IT IS FUNNY HOW HALF OF THESE COMMENTS ARE ABOUT HOW GOOD THEY ARE. and guess wut.
