Worst Boku No Hero Academia Characters

Even with his "character development" in the USJ incident and the final exams, Mineta is absolutely an unsympathetic character. While he can surprisingly use his otherwise useless Quirk in certain situations, he wouldn't be able to use it in general close combat. But what really makes him annoying as he is is his perverted nature. All he ever cares about is peering at girls and stuff. Not to mention his motivation to become a hero is simply seeing girls in skimpy outfits and being popular with them. That's just selfish and in no way heroic or endearing. All in all, Mineta deserves to be voted up to number 1. And Shinsou can honestly replace him if the creator didn't love Mineta so much.

His main purpose is for comic relief and he fails horribly every time. When they do a comedic scene with him it makes me cringe. Other than that he contributes barely anything to the show, because his quirk is borderline useless. Other pervy characters like Jiraiya were good, because for one they were funny and two they were actually useful in battle. People say he is strong for some reason but I can confidently say he would get his ass handed to him by just about every other 1-A student. He shoudnt have gotten into UA in the first place.

Just like with Ms. Joke, his comedy got old pretty quickly. And with how hellbent he is with being a pervert, it's hard to like him at all. It's one thing when a character's admiring a girls chest but it's another to peek into the girls locker room and actively try to scale the wall to peek on them naked. Not to mention how he used a creepy pick up line on a six year old Eri.

Terrible perverted character that doesn't respect boundaries. At least Kaminari doesn't peek through wholes in the girls changing room or climb over the wall of the girls public bath. Mineta doesn't respect privacy. If he was a pervert but still had standards Ebisu did that would be one thing. But the fact that he keeps forgetting about consent and boundaries places him on my list.

She's failing to live up to the hype people give her and the positive reviews about her "intelligence" and "skills" that the characters just love to say about her in canon. However, looking at it realistically, Momo is practically a kid in training so of course she won't always be top notch in everything she does because she's a youngster who's still learning just like all her classmates.This certainly proves Momo is not everything that people say she is or even what they hype her up to be. Let's be real here, she wouldn't really be a top tier hero and is not really all that powerful as others claim she is. I'm pretty sure even Bakugou or Deku can beat her in a fight and he's an "action first, think later" kind of guy compared to Momo who's considered a tactician. She's not relevant to the story.

Momo could have been so much more but really gets poor development when it comes to the story. While Ilda, Bakugou, Todoroki and even Kirishima get longer arcs than her, you know there's a problem. The most development she gets is when she's losing confidence when she lost to Tokoyami. That's it? Talk about wasted development. There could have been more. Like how boys only see her as a prop for their sexual desires (her costume is pretty revealing after all) and no one see's her as a hero because of it. Plus, she had a terrible time at her internship with Uwabami that could have gone somewhere. Most of Momo's character feels underdeveloped compared to the other characters. I'm not saying Horikoshi can't write females because he's done a good job with Asui, Toga, Eri and even Uraraka. But Momo just didn't land with me.

I can't forgive him or Rei. Defend Rei all you want, but I don't care about either of them. Endeavor drove his own wife to the point of insanity, and even though she was driven to do it, Rei took an innocent child—and took out her mental issues on Shoto. I honestly can't see how Todoroki defends her. He ruined her life—along with Endeavor. Both parents are responsible for giving their family a terrible time.

He abused his wife and kids. They're all emotionally and mentally traumatised because of him. One of his children is permanently physically scarred, and another is literally dead (possibly- we're not sure is Tōya is still alive or not because Endeavor admitted to killing him)

He deserves to be above everyone on this list except for Mineta. Like seriously, how are Todoroki, Deku, Uraraka, All Might, Aizawa, Bakugo, and Mina higher than him?

He might be getting better now but he still ruined his kids childhood and destroyed his "wifes" mental state.

The only reason she exists is for girls to ship her with Aizawa. But their chemistry is so bland that barely anyone talks about it. I can't believe her character is nothing but dumb jokes and trying to pressure him to marry her. Wow. Not only is that creepy and unwanted, but it makes her look like a stalker. No wonder Hizashi & Aizawa are shipped together more than her and Aizawa. At least those two have good moments together and have known each other for a long time. She's way too obsessed with Aizawa who doesn't like her at all. If a guy kept trying to pressure a girl to marry her, people who have hated his guts. But it's okay for her to do it because she's a girl. Ms. Joke is terrible. No girl or guy should ever desire to be like her. And frankly, the manga should just kill her off. She can be a casualty in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc. There's no point to this idiotic character.

After reading some comments from other people...yeah they have a point. Miss Joke isn't a good character. Heck, calling her a character is too nice, she's the idea of character without any of the growth of one. I thought she would have some kind of romance develop between her and Aizawa. But she disappears after Class 1A get their licenses and hasn't been seen. And from what I'm hearing, she hasn't come back since then. So why was she introduced? Hopefully she's not going to be some generic love interest like so many other characters in anime. But as it stands now, she has no purpose or real goal.

At least with the other characters, there's something interesting to discuss with them. Like whether or not Endeavour will be truly redeemed or what Shigaraki will do next in order to live up to All For One. Ms. Joke on the other hand isn't talked about because there's nothing interesting about her. She's done nothing in the story, none of the other characters talk about her, she doesn't even appear after Season 3 and even when she did she was just unfunny one liners. She was a waste of time.

Seriously ya'll?! You voted for Momo, Ochako, Mina and Asui above this character?! At least they contribute in some way to the plot and story. Miss Joke on the other hand has done nothing. The most I can imagine her being is killed in battle and her students try to avenge her. Her quirk is useless for combat, any romance she could have had with Eraserhead is uninteresting and pointless. And even her design isn't as good as some of the other characters. Seriously. Pick this chick to be at the top.

I can't deny Katsuki is pretty much a huge jerk to Izuku and others around him, but at least he has potential to grow as a character and move beyond the jerk persona he still has right now.

He needs help with his anger issues. Like professional counseling

She is rather bland and uninteresting. If it wasn't for her being the female lead she would pretty forgettable since she has so little personality.

Come on, at least her motive for wanting to be a hero is admirable. Wanting to make money to support her family is in no way selfish at all.

Ochaco Uraraka: a likable female shounen lead (those are rare) with a lot of potential, which, unfortunately, was thrown out the window in favor of a stupid one sided crush in a show that centers on anything but romance. Ever since her defeat against Bakugou in season 2, she didn't do anything that memorable, essentially stayed on the sidelines working as a living reminder of how to pronounce Deku's name. She had a story and a goal to herself, but now revolves her whole life around a boy. Hori did such a good job with female characters like Asui, Ashido, Hatsume or Kendou, have good personalities and are independant characters even if they're secondary, so it's such a shame to have the main lead do nothing but repeat her love interest's name like a broken record.

I'd hate her even more if her pointless, forced crush on someone she admires/envies successfully traps a great character like Deku in a romance with her. He blushes at other girls, saves everyone, hangs out with not ...more

She's just really bland and irritating. I'd be watching a good scene then she shows up and gets all swoony over Deku and it's cringey and embarrassing. Also, becoming a hero just for money is pathetic and implies she doesn't really care about those she 'saves'

I hate him and his character design. People love this character and hate endevour. Even thought he's changing. I hate Overhaul and nobody can change my mind

Seriously can we have one arc of him as a minor character. At this point I like Mineta more than him. He's so one dimensional the more the series continues. Why is in the hero course when at this point he is a hero. He's broken more rules than Mineta and yet nothing is done about. He shouldn't of been allowed to work with Nighteye after saving Bakagou and then there fight they had. But no he gets top billing again. Why are the Animes that are Americanised have these OP characters. Look at Assassination Classroom one lead character but they gave all characters love.

I love the guy in fanfictions and cosplay skits. But canon? He's the worst character. He goes from "I'm the best" to "I'm the worst" in the span of five seconds. And those are his only two emotions! Unless you wanna talk about mumbling and turning as red as a tomato for no reason. And he's creepy too! Even as a kid he was creepy. I mean who head bangs to a video of a (equally creepy looking) superhero?

He has a terrible character design and his only personality is to be the big bad of the series. He was the one that convinced Shigaraki to become evil and almost cost an end to All Might's legacy.

This list is garbage the only actually bad character in the top ten is Minoru Mineta. Just my opinion but most of these characters are great

He may be one of the worst mentors at first glance, but he is undoubtedly the #1 hero yet in his universe. Even now that he's retired after his final fight with All for One, All Might is admirable for striving to improve as a teacher so he can make Izuku improve as his successor.

Such a forgettable brat.

She's extremely bland and only exists to fill in the Big Three's last spot. She's also very annoying and keeps asking so many questions without thinking how they can affect someone personally (like how she asked Shoji and Todoroki about their past but brushed it off). She also wiggled Mina's horns without her permission, causing her to be flustered. We know that that must have bothered Mina a lot, since she isn't the type to care about these things.

Another wasted character. She's a member of the Big 3 and while Mirio and Tamaki are written well and get good character growth, she doesn't. The Beauty Paegant was barely anything for her. Which is a shame because I love her quirk and design. But next to her other companions, she's lackluster.

She's quite annoying and has a very bland personality. Even though she's a new character, Nejire hasn't done anything impressive. It's quite irritating because I would've liked her more if she wasn't so uninteresting.

Who doesn't like everybody's favorite frog girl? You have to give her credit for always staying calm in dangerous situations that require heroes to do such along with her getting to save the day on her internship (even if it was a filler episode).

Though I think her quirk is odd, she is still cute nonetheless. This entire list is crap.

I've just always had this thing against him cause he left Izuku of a ROOF when he just destroyed his dreams of being a hero
He never checked to see if Izuku had an infection or anything after the SLUDGE villain shoved it's way down his throat!
He's also not a very good teacher cause what safety measures did he put in for the battle training?
He also uses up his time in his all might form too much and that got people hurt in the USJ. because he wasn't responsible enough to think

His ways of teaching are more harsh than All Might's, but to put it simply, Aizawa is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. While his teaching methods are harsh, he really wants what's best for his students.
