Worst Cartoon Remakes

The Top Ten
1 Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon"

Am I the only person that I think this show should rather be put in number #1? It's just full of disgusting jokes and people do not know if this has to work. Not only it sucks, but it might also ruin your childhood. I don't get it why it has to happen. I HATE this remake! This remake sucks because of two episodes, "Ren Seeks Help" and "Stimpy's Pregnaut." These two episodes are just nauseating, painful, and too disturbing to watch. The stories are AWFUL, too. I'm glad it only lasted in 7 episodes. It has to stop. This is why I think Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon should be in #1. SCREW THIS SHOW!

I liked the old Ren & Stimpy cartoon better. I rented a Ren & Stimpy video game for my Super Nintendo a few years ago and played it. I haven't gotten very far in Ren & Stimpy for Super Nintendo.

Why is this number 2? At least Teen Titans GO is just plain stupid. This cartoon however, is so mean spirited, ugly, and gross. This more than deserves to be number 1. Way worse than Teen Titans GO

Awful, grotesque, and bad writing. None of the jokes are even remotely funny. And if you want to know how awful this show is, go watch Mr.enter's "Ren seeks helps" review, because it has to be seen to be believed!

2 Teen Titans Go! 'Teen Titans Go!' is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television ...read more.

This show literally defaces the original Teen Titans. I told a young girl that I really liked Teen Titans, and she said she hated them. When I asked why, I found out that her opinion was solely based on Teen Titans Go. It makes me want to SCREAM how much horrible can be packed into one show. The original Teen Titans had such a good formula, I am thoroughly surprised that it could be messed up THIS BADLY. In fact, I think that the writers of Teen Titans Go actively hate the original Teen Titans. Think about it! How else could a show as good as Teen Titans have such a wretched remake?

I HATE TEEN TITANS GO! All it ever does is make the original show look like a failure! The characters are complete idiots and don't know what the hell they're doing. They can't even fight crime like real superheroes do! What happened to the good-formula characters? I'm going to explain the differences between The Original Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go...

Robin: In the original show, Robin was this badass martial-arts leader. He actually knew what to do in every situation. He had excellent formula and had the right weapons for any crimes being committed. In Teen Titans Go, Robin is the complete opposite! He's an arrogant jerk who stalks Starfire and thinks he's good aat anything when he really isn't

Starfire: In the original, Starfire was a curious alien princess who was trying to fit-in with other people, including her teammates and it's good that she doesn't want to cause harm. In Teen Titans Go, Starfire was a psychopath and always used the word "the" in every single ...more

Absolute TRASH they look like little kids and act like babies, why can't they just put on the original for one last season but no, they put THIS stuff in and make Beast Boy and RAVEN fall in love. in the original that practically breaks the laws of reality. Why can't cartoon network go back to how it used to be because it sucks now. This show is horrible don't EVER watch it, watch the original Teen Titans and you'll know what I mean.

The jokes are dumb and fights are fake. spend more time being lazy, greedy, and making fun of each other. The yelling all the time is erritating while making fun of nintendo. takes big deal over small things (example: Cooties). This cheap ripoff is disliked 7+ yrs. Mostly when you've see the original. This show has many gross out causing me to get near barfing. The worse part is I'm 11 YEARS OLD!

3 The Powerpuff Girls (2016) The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains. This show has an anime spinoff made in Japan, three specials, a movie in theatres, and a reboot. The show aired from 1998 to 2005.

Twerking. Seriously? They could've just kept even at least the original voice actors of the show. Ms Belum or however her name is spelled was took out of the show... Because they thought she was offensive?! Great now the mayor has to call the girls just to open a damn PICKLE JAR. I don't even like those lantern things. A fourth powerpuff girl? You just couldn't stop there and now another Fouth powerpuff girl special on May 20th... This will difinitely won't even probably get a million views just like the other one! And did they seriously just made Blossom fall inlove with a dude who decided to go in the shows to fulfill his dreams? The girls aren't even heroes anymore!

Well, I hate to admit, the animation is X2 better than the original. Most of the minor characters retain similar personalities. Unfortunately, this does not save it from the abysmal writing. They replaced all the voice actors with stupid ones, and added a lot of cringeworthy memes. The minor characters were OK, but the major characters SUCK. Bubbles is a clone of Starfire. I hope this terrifying reboot is replaced by Infinity Train.

Power puff girls is a original made by amazing people. Now it's this. Here is why it's bad
1 New villains. They are super dumb and ridiculous.
2 Dumb plot.
3 Bad voice acting.
4 uncolored objects
5 New character traits. I don't like blossom! I think she has OCD (sorry, had to make joke. Hope you guys are OK! )
6 Princess morbuck and pack rat appear very often
7 Most villains are monsters, not villains
8 Bad Jokes
9 lie to humanity.
10 Professor isn't smart.
11 Where is professor most of the time?
12 How come they're like also lazy? (see teens titan one)
13 They had a cross over with Teen Titans GO! Another bad show.
14 Day is saved thanks to the power puff girls+. Usually something dumb.
AND FINAL REASON
15 ITS STILL ONE AIR! 1!

, I hate this show so much, don't even get me started.. (And I loved the original) First of all, they laid off the original voice actors (Tara Strong was so sad about it), and they try to appeal to modern audiences by throwing in dumb slang and outdated memes. They actually had internet trolls in one episode. Which were PINK and had big cutesy-ish (not) eyes. And that crossover episode with TTG was absolute CRAP.

4 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American 3D rendered computer animated television series based on the fictional superhero team. It aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from September 29, 2012 to November 12, 2017.

(Annihalation Earth) Today was the Final Third Season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nickelodeon ( Sunday 27 September). Me and my pals who loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 and 1987 kind of liked 2012 and we watch it on Sundays to see where it was going. We all sat down (Me and my Bros), did the usual T.V. routine: New Episodes, Pizza and just chilling with Bros for a Special Sunday Show. There was so much going on (We thought it was Perfect) until all Life on Earth (Including Splinter and Everyone) ends as we know it and the Turtles go to space... Leaving an extremely confusing Cliffhanger. Me and my mates do not know whether to Love or Hate this show...

Yeah this version sucks, and here's why 1: the mutants they fight are awfully named and poorly designed! 2: this is some of the worst animation iv ever seen in my life! 3: where's the shredder? 4: they made Michaellagelo as dumb as the new Patrick, Mikey's not brainless he just likes to have fun! 5: that godawfully annoying catchphrase booyakasha that Mikey always shouts. 6: making Donnetello have a crush on April, it's annoying as hell and so is he. 7: that godawful theme song! Who's idea was it to make a show like this? It's the biggest insult to ninja turtles iv ever seen, I think the person that made this show was purposely trying to piss off ninja turtles fans so he made this. And dispite being a horrible show, this and the new SpongeBob are the only things nick uses for advertising. This is the worst cartoon remake of all time

Why Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012 is the Number 1 Best Cartoon Remake:

1. Awesome Plot
2. Detailed Story Line
3. Plot Twists (Karai being Hamato Yoshi's daughter)
4. 1987+2003= 2012
5. Cool Villains.

In my opinion, you should stop being so Whiny and give it a chance. If you like the older versions of TMNT, then watch it and enjoy it and stop spamming the newer version. I have seen way Worse Reboots (Like Care Bears.) which makes TMNT 2012 The Best.

Why must people be Stupid enough to make Remakes.
There is TMNT 1987 which has 193 episodes.
TMNT 2003 (I shall give this one a pass because this one is actually really good.) has 157 awesome episodes (Season 5 is the BEST.)
And then Nickelodeon decides to remake an Awesome classic that should have Never be remade.
Why can't Nickelodeon just broadcast the previous TMNT Titles?

5 The Magic School Bus Rides Again

The worst remake I have ever seen! Turned it off after two minuets! It looks and sounds horrible!

6 Yo Yogi!

What does that mean?

7 Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!

It sucks. There was just an episode where THEY GIVE UP because the murderer or something is 'a random person'. So what? The originals would have interrogated him, at least!

What's New and Mystery Incorporated were by far the best, but this couldn't suck more. Seriously, I don't think they could've made it uglier.

This show looks like it was made by Seth Macfarlane because it looks so much like Family Guy.

Scooby Doo and The Murder File from Family Guy was much better than this.

8 Alvin and the Chipmunks (2015) Alvin and the Chipmunks is an American animated television series featuring The Chipmunks, produced by Bagdasarian Productions in association with Ruby-Spears Enterprises from 1983 to 1987, Murakami-Wolf-Swenson in 1988 and DIC Entertainment from 1988 to 1990.It aired from 1983 to 1990 on NBC and is ...read more.

I have you one challenge, Watch this show for 24 hrs. This ugly remake makes a show for kids on how despite they are to have cartoons. Nick is mostly filled with live action or comedic shows. Disable kids to have real entertainment. So with the help of many people they made this.

Think twice before saying this is a good show. First time I seen it I thought they were human. Turns out they had tails. Dave has a girl friend in the newest movie. What does he end up in this, a flat head. Songs are super random and not using voice acting. You can tell they were using 3DS sound recording to make songs. They go to school, WHY! Dave is know for a really loud yell of ALVIIN. but it was replaced with a gr of Alvin. Forget the show, avoid the channel NICKELONEAN

One of my least favorite cartoons of all time HAS to be on this list, should be number one. The CG is SO UGLY! They actually managed to make the LIVE ACTION VERSION LOOK GOOD! I'm assuming that was their goal!
Nickelodeon employee 1: Hey, Nickelodeon employee 2, what's wrong?
Nickelodeon employee 2: Nostalgia Critic made a bad review of our movie.
Nickelodeon employee 1: You mean that "Alvin and the Chipmunks" one?
Nickelodeon employee 2: Yeah.
Nickelodeon employee 1: Hey let's make an animated version that will somehow last 3 seasons! Then people will talk about how much better the movie was!
Nickelodeon employee 2: Yeah and let's make the characters give you nightmares!
I can't even understand what their even saying in the musical numbers! It sounds like it was speed up! And don't even get me started on the chipmunks voices. Theodore, you aren't exactly innocent when you try to make my ears bleed. Nickeloden, congratulations on completely ruining AATC, and your ...more

The three chipmunks passed from good friends to Simon and Theodore going against Alvin. ¿ How could it be possible? Now they act like being Ed, Edd and Eddy.

Friendship status : Broken <:(

9 Rugrats Pre-School Daze Rugrats Pre-School Daze is an American animated television miniseries that originally aired in 2005. It is a spin-off of the popular series "Rugrats," focusing on characters Angelica and Susie as they attend preschool. The show aims to address the experiences and challenges children face in a preschool setting. Though it did not achieve the same level of success as the original series, Rugrats Pre-School Daze has been praised for its kid-friendly themes and educational content.
10 Extreme Ghostbusters

I saw a preview of Extreme Ghostbusters on my Madeline VHS (the 1998 live action film) alongside Jumanji and Men in Black: the Series.

The Contenders
11 The Batman

The joker from this show looks creepy.

This show is awesome.

12 Batman: The Brave and The Bold
13 Loonatics Unleashed

Their skin doesn't even match and compare with the old Looney Tunes.

14 VeggieTales in the House

When they started first showing this series on YouTube when I was in the fourth grade, I was really disappointed and the animation, new character voices were all so cringeworthy, mere words could not describe how extremely CRINGE I was feeling, especially that stupid silly song that Larry made, My Golden Egg, which was probably the most stupidest silly song I ever heard because Larry from Veggietales In The House is a complete disaster. He literally acts like a freaking 3-year old and I hated it in one episode that Larry literally started acting like a baby when Laura (another cringeworthy VTITH character) was getting all the attention. Honestly, the way the characters act in the show, I can't even... Bob and Larry sometimes act like they're on drugs. Larry sometimes acts like he's even autistic in the show (sorry if I insulted anyone who is autistic but I think you get my point) Junior sounds like a brat. Laura... I don't even know what to say. Icabeezer replaced the OG Mr. Nezzer ...more

VeggieTales gained a seasonal rot (even though there wasn't any seasons) when Noah's ark aired. The designs here are just awful, dreamworks, they should be in their older forms, not this crap you call a redesign. Thankfully the returning character's voices are OK, except Juniors...

Who's idea was it to take vegetables and put them in a "Christian" atmosphere. In that one episode called the battle of j something, the enemies attack with... Purple slushies? Why purple? Why not blue? And they didn't have slushies back then! Come on!

This took away every religious theme from a beloved childhood show, turning this into a pathetic children's cartoon for no reason.

15 The Looney Tunes Show The Looney Tunes Show is an American animated television series that premiered in 2011. It is a modern interpretation of the classic Looney Tunes characters, featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and others as they navigate contemporary suburban life. The show blends elements of comedy, drama, and adventure. The Looney Tunes Show received mixed reviews, with some praising its fresh take on iconic characters, while others missed the slapstick style of the original shorts.

All this show does is Suck out all the fun hi jinx of the original cartoon, make the characters boring stereotypes and just making it into some kind of stupid sitcom

You can't replace loony tunes. I WILL murder you.

I hate it it's stupid

16 Speed Racer: The Next Generation
17 My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic is an animated children's television series based on the fourth incarnation of Hasbro's My Little Pony franchise. The show follows a studious unicorn (later an alicorn) pony named Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong) and her friends Applejack (Ashleigh Ball), Rarity (Tabitha St. Germain), Fluttershy (Andrea Libman), Rainbow Dash (Ball), Pinkie Pie (Libman), and dragon assistant Spike (Cathy Weseluck). They travel on adventures and help others around Equestria while solving problems that arise in their own friendships.

Okay look the backstory of pinkie pie (Pinkamena Dianne Pie) is that she's a psychotic murderer who kill other ponies in her bakery basement, she acts cheerful curls up her hair to lure her next victim in. That's right who may be your favorite character is really just a murderer in disguise.

You kidding me? This show made the list? Is this some dirty way to piss off the brony fandom? This is actually a pretty good cartoon, I really enjoyed the characters, the plots, lessons, morals, songs, and lore that Equestria had to offer. And this is coming from a non-brony of all people. Whoever put this here must've been like, "Oh it's that dumb little girls show that grown up males like, time to put it on the list! " Seriously, the Bronies deserve better. If they like something that's good, let them like it.

This is mostly because of the bronies bashing on the previous generations while ignoring the fact that FIM ponies look more like alien insects then ponies.

All of them except for My Little Pony and My Little Pony Tales when they looked more like ponies. Not turning into creatures with big eyes.

18 Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood is an American-Canadian animated children's television series that debuted in 2012. It serves as a spin-off of the classic show "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" and focuses on Daniel Tiger, the son of the original Daniel Striped Tiger. Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood has received several awards and widespread praise for its educational value and positive messaging.
19 What's New Scooby Doo

20 Sonic Underground

Sonic underground was an amazing. Show too bad it ended of a cliff hanger you will be missed sonic underground

This was actually not bad...

21 Adventure Time Adventure Time is an American animated television series created by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. The series follows the adventures of a boy named Finn (voiced by Jeremy Shada) and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake (voiced by John DiMaggio)—a dog with the magical power to change shape and size at will. First of all, this isn't a remake. Second of all, this show is awesome

No, it's not a remake.

22 Bob The Builder (2015) Bob the Builder is a British children's animated television show created by Keith Chapman. In the original series, Bob appears in a stop motion animated programme as a building contractor, specialising in masonry, along with his colleague Wendy, various neighbours and friends, and their gang of anthropomorphised work-vehicles and equipment. The show is broadcast in many countries, but originates from the United Kingdom where Bob is voiced by English actor Neil Morrissey. The show was later created using CGI animation starting with the spin-off series Ready, Steady, Build!.

A reboot is basically taking a property (e.g. a T.V. show) and returning it for modern audiences to enjoy. However, this reboot isn't very good.

To start off, the artstyle had a complete overhaul. The animation from the original source material was fairly simple; something you can draw on paper translated to 3D. But then, Mattel decided to drag it away from its EarthBound-esque artstyle and put it in a realistic environment.
Now, I have no problem with giving a few changes to the animation of a reboot, but when you completely change the artstyle (from cartoon-ish to realistic, or vice versa), the show gets hated by long-time fans of the series.
I get it, the show might be enjoyable to younger audiences, but the thing is, everyone who has seen (or heard of) the original series is going to compare reboots to their originals.

Furthermore, the characters look and feel different compared to the original series. Slightly changing a character's personality isn't a bad ...more

Ruined many childhoodfs including mine, just look at how horrible the character looks! What happened to Lofty, Roley and Wendy!? And they removed all the cool new characters from the Project Build It series like Tumbler, Scrambler, Gripper and Grabber, Packer, Dodger (and so many more) and replaced them with generic cars

Ok I never watched the original.
But all they did was make the characters bigger in height.
If you are still a fan of the preschool show then watch the original with the cute tiny Bob and his workmates.

The orginal was smooth, fresh and pretty to look at. AND it was stopmotion, one of the hardest animationstyles to animate that exist. Then...they wanted to change it to CGI, taking away all the charm the show had.

23 Pound Puppies (2010)

80s is better. Look at the Bronies.

You people stink like rats!

24 George of the Jungle (2007)
25 Planet Sheen (2010) Planet Sheen is an American CGI animated television series. It is a spinoff series in the Jimmy Neutron franchise, focusing on the show's comic relief, Sheen Estevez, as he gets stranded on another planet. The show was hated by critics and fans for not using any of the original cast (besides the obvious), ...read more.

And this show caused Sheen to be hated by everyone, even his own friends. Thanks Sheen for the terrible reboot!

Sheen was funny in the original, but not here...
