Top Ten Worst Cartoon Writers

There are some people who are good writers and some
People who write things like OCM. (One Coarse Meal) Here is my Top Worst Cartoon Writers. I will be listing episodes the writer has written and why I hate those episodes! If you have suggestions, please tell me. I'm not too wide on cartoon writer names or knowing who wrote what.
This List is NOT meant to be offensive to the person themselves and if it is offensive it is unintentional

The Top Ten

1 Zeus Cervas Zeus X. Cervas (born September 19, 1974) was a former SpongeBob SquarePants crew member from season 2 up until season 9.

This guy should honestly be writing horror movies NOT kids shows. The one main thing from the pre-movie SpongeBob episode "Shanghaied" that he contributed was the Fly of Despair (You know the hellish portal that the Dutchman throws Squidward into). And after every single bad episode of SpongeBob that he has written I have this to say: There's seriously something wrong with this man.

He is the reason why SpongeBob is failing. Is he is trying to make SpongeBob look bad just like modern Family Guy or controversial like South Park (Even though South Park is a master piece) SpongeBob is an innocent kids show for kids and parents alike, not some terrible horror movie. He made One Coarse Meal with Mr. Krabs trying to get Plankton to commit suicide ( HOW IS THIS EVEN FOR KIDS ), A pal for Gary where SpongeBob totally ignores Gary while he is getting eaten up by a eel that looked like it came from hell. Stuck in the Wringer where The Big Pink Jerk (Patrick) Tortures SpongeBob with forever glue making him stuck there for the whole episode while the fish snap at SpongeBob for yelling at Patrick, Face freeze which makes SpongeBob and patrick look like road kill, and squids visit making SpongeBob a creepy neighbor. If you don't know what I mean check out that episode. I used to like that little yellow sponge until this guy happend with his terrible writing. Nowadays I watch ...more

Just so I don't piss off that Murvine_Taylor girl, I'll be nice enough NOT TO MAKE A DEATH THREAT. I mean, the Post Sequel SpongeBob episodes are a bit better now, but the main villain behind the dark ages of SpongeBob was Zeus Cervas. All we want for him is to get fired and not use ideas for horror movies on kids' shows! So there you have it. I won't say any death threats. I will just say I LOATHE HIM. If you want to see something with better writing, I highly recommend Sword Art Online. It is a good anime series and it's WAY BETTER than watching One Coarse Meal or A Pal For Gary. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

Zues Cervas... remember that the people going after Casey Alexander... that's happening because of you. He defends your atrocious episodes because you and he constantly worked together, and he takes the fall for every time you write a crappy SpongeBob episode, presumably with intent to traumatize kids... I hope you realize why people hate you so much.
You make stuff like A Pal for Gary, Pet Sitter Pat, Stuck in the Wringer, Face Freeze, Atlantis Squarepantis, and a heck of a lot more.
At least Casey has more than one good episode to his name that you don't (Mrs. Puff You're Fired, Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V, Patrick SmartPants, etc. ) The only good episode that you've done without Casey is Dunces and Dragons... and I don't know how much of it was on your part.

No he's not. Casey Alexander is even writing more horrible crap in Uncle Grandpa - sryanbruen

2 Casey Alexander

Casey Alexander is the worst I've ever seen for a few reasons.

1. He wrote the absolutely BORING, HORRIBLE, BULL SpongeBob episodes:

* Night Light
* Fungus Among Us
* Boat Smarts
* Atlantis SquarePantis
* Patty Caper
* The Clash of Triton
* Someone's in the Kitchen With Sandy
* A Pal For Gary (worst ever! Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde the video game is unplayable, this is unwatchable. Whenever I see this come on, I change the channel straight away)
* Karate Star
* Big Sister Sam
* Pet Sitter Pat
* Smoothe Jazz At Bikini Bottom
* Face Freeze!
* Squid Baby
* Bumper to Bumper
* Oral Report

2. He wrote for one of the worst shows ever in history, Uncle Grandpa!

If ya know them SpongeBob episodes and Uncle Grandpa well, ya know he is an absolute disaster to the T.V. world. - sryanbruen

Mr. Alexander is NOT a bad person. True, he helped with One Coarse Meal, which makes fun of suicide, Pet Sitter Pat, where Patrick torments Gary, and A Pal For Gary, where Gary also gets tormented by Puffy Fluffy and when SpongeBob had the jerkass ball, but this doesn't mean he's evil. If you don't believe me, let our tweets on Twitter to each other explain. Mr. Alexander and I follow each other and it pisses me off that people harassed the poor man.

I know here you are supposed to talk about what you think of a person as a writer, but I really feel like I should tell people what I think of Casey Alexander as a person because I am sick of people wishing death on him, along with a few other writers. Mr. Alexander didn't mean to offend anyone with One Coarse Meal. If you have depression and are offended by that episode, then I respect your opinion and I feel your pain (a loved one of mine dealt with depression), but when you wish death on Casey Alexander, or any of the other ...more - Murvine_Taylor

To Murvine_Taylor: I know we haven't met, but can I just tell you something? I don't hate Casey Alexander as a person. I just hate him as a writer. He's written episodes that are cringe inducing on their own, such as The Thing (Squidward is MOLDED in a block of cement, and he screams In agony throughout the episode) and he just really makes me upset that he's written such horrible episodes like One Coarse Meal. Suicide Jokes are not funny, I'll say that. It only worked before because the character wasn't actually going to kill himself. Zeus Cervas and Richard Pursel are WAY worse than this guy, I'll say that. So yeah...not much else to say. Anyways, if you're reading this, tell him on Twitter a kid named Josh wanted to ask him something: why do his episodes consist of things that will only make the viewer sad? It shouldn't be a thing in a kid show. Anyway. That's all I wanted to say. I hope I could get on your good side after you hear this.

Thank you for your time. -Josh

Why is this in the list? He was Tainted by Zeus Carvas anyway.

3 Richard Pursel

This inspired the horrible writers like from spongebob series until s10 was decent now.

Richard Pursel... The most disgusting writer I have ever seen. At least Casey Alexander, Aaron Springer, and Zeus Cervas have at least ONE good SpongeBob episode to their name. He is the center of animated animal abuse and torture. A Pal for Gary and Petsitter Pat are the reasons for my animal abuse statement, and don't even get me started on Boating Buddies. Then we have the worst episode of anything animated... Ren Seeks Help. If you think pulling legs off of caterpillars one by one, burning ants with matches, and frog abuse which I am not going to talk about, you are a sick and horrible person. And don't make me talk about Ren's birth seen.

All of the episode I seen him write is either something with animal abuse or torture and don't get me started with Ren Seeks Help (which is the worst episode out of any shows I seen ever). - CartoonsGirl

This guy should honestly be writing horror stories instead of cartoon episodes. He's the reason we have the unholy abominations known as A Pal for Gary and Ren Seeks Help (we all know he's the one who should really seek help).

4 Ben Jones

He created the Problem Solverz and Stone Quackers. Two of the worst cartoons of all time - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

5 Seth MacFarlane Seth Woodbury MacFarlane is an American television producer, filmmaker, actor, and singer, working primarily in animation and comedy, as well as live-action and other genres.

He's barely even involved with Family Guy anymore, so the things wrong with the show nowadays can't be pinned on him. And while yes, he can veto scripts, the writers would just find something even raunchier, so that means he knows there's no point in vetoing an episode idea. Blame the writers, not the creator. - Goatworlds

He was on the Drawn Together movie. Need I explain?

He is both good & Bad. Only on writing.

The only good he did in animation was Johnny Bravo.

6 Pete Browngardt

I have absolutely no clue as to why Cartoon Network ever hired this guy. His cartoons are udder garbage. He's responsible for Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, which was absolutely nauseating. He clearly shouldn't write for kids shows, or any shows for that matter. Maybe he can become a sanitation man, I mean he's good with dealing with garbage, after all.

Created Uncle Grandpa, need I say more? - Goatworlds

7 Wellesley Wild

This creature needs to be higher. Seahorse seashell part, I... I have no words.

This guy WAS a good writer until he wrote two terrible episodes in FG which were Seahorse Shell Party and Call Girl (ONE OF, IF NOT MY MOST HATED EPISODE EVER. Yeah, it's as bad as Fresh Heir).

I thought Wellesley was a girl?

Oh Dear, I know who this is... NOTE: I didn't add this entry!
She's the "writer" of:
Life of Brian
SSP (Seahorse Seashell Party)
And that's all I know that are bad episodes - bdcool3

8 Merriweather Williams

She wrote in Band Geeks and Chocolate with nuts. She may have wrote Mare do well but that is like saying Lauren Faust is a bad writer because she wrote Everyone knows its Bendy.

She wrote Band Geeks and Chocolate with nuts. She may have wrote Mare do well but that is like saying Lauren Faust is a bad writer because she wrote Everyone Knows its Bendy

Uh, no. She is a really good writer, just because she sucks at writing my little pony, it doesn't make her a bad writer. Just look at all of the good things she wrote.

This isn't fair. Meriwether wrote well in old SpongeBob, people.

9 Teresa Hsiao

Which is sad, considering she went to Harvard. - KalloFox34

This is yet another writer with an animal abuse fetish. She's responsible for "Peter Problems," a Family Guy episode that contains a realistically-gory, drawn-out scene where Peter disembowels a beached whale with a fork lift. The scene makes the animal abuse in "Ren Seeks Help" look like a Sesame Street skit in comparison to the "whale scene."

The actual episode itself is devoid of laughs and clumsily written. Overall, Teresa Hsiao is just as bad as Richard Pursel.

Writer grade from me:F-

Give me one way how animal torture can be amusing in a show that's expected to be comedic like Family Guy or happy like SpongeBob was. ONE.

10 Scott Fellows

This guy has no creativity of any kind

His Fairly OddParents work was generally decent - KalloFox34

Do you guys even TRY to write normal criticism? Jesus...

The creator of Johnny Test

The Contenders

11 Neal Dusedau

Both of his MLP episodes, What About Discord and Princess Spike, are very unfunny. They also both have conflicts that easily could have been avoided if the characters weren't acting like idiots.

Don't forget AppleJack's "Day" Off, which was boring, dull, and bad all at the same time! - TexasBro93

12 F.M. De Marco

He wrote, in my opinion, the worst episode of MLP season six, 28 Pranks Later. This episode is in my top 5 worst of all time. - TexasBro93

13 Noah Z. Jones

The 7D is his best show, but even that show is mediocre at best. - KalloFox34

I came here for this. ONLY NUMBER 14? He created almost naked animals, fish hooks(honestly not as bad), and one of the worst cartoons I've ever seen, PICKLE AND PEANUT. Look up pickle and peanut episodes if u don’t believe me, I dare u. The show makes sanjay and craig and breadwinners look like invader zim and phineus and ferb.

This guy stinks on ice. But I hear his penis is gigantic.

-Almost Naked Animals
-Fish Hooks
-Pickle and Peanut - ad48

14 J. G. Quintel

Well that's a stupid way to hate him now isn't it? Just because he made Regular Show? That's the only show he created and you guys think it is the end of good T.V. propaganda! Face it clowns, Regular Show existed and a lot of people loved it, Get Over IT! You can't hate a creator for creating a show that "in your opinion" doesn't interest you. Just be glad it wasn't as bad as other Cartoon Network shows. *looks at Annoying Orange, Teen Titans Go!, and Powerpuff Girls 2016* *shrugs* also, if we love a show you loathe, don't Even Bother! We all like different things, I like the 1980's, and you guys like...god knows what you all like... - Gehenna

He made Regular Show!

15 Pendleton Ward Pendleton "Pen" Ward is an American animator, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor who works for Cartoon Network Studios and Frederator Studios. He created the Emmy Award-winning series Adventure Time and the internet series Bravest Warriors.

Hey! I want to know who put this on here! - FuffleyandPeetah

Woah, what? Why is this guy even on here? Pendleton Ward is extremely creative, and unlike a lot of the people on here, he's not into torturing his characters. They're well developed, and funny, and give you something to think about! Maybe Adventure Time isn't a show with intricate plot and stuff like that, but it's just a show made to make you feel good. That's enough.

He's awesome - 445956

16 Chris Savino Christopher Mason "Chris" Savino (born October 2, 1971 in Royal Oak, Michigan) is an American animator, writer, producer, director, and storyboard artist. He is best known as the creator of The Loud House on Nickelodeon.

This guy is not awesome, he is scarring! His works are flat out horrible. He has a history of screwing up good cartoons, and I wouldn't be surprised if he actually ruined his own show: the Loud House.

How is he bad?! HOW IS HE BAD?! I'LL TELL YOU HOW IS HE BAD! He won't leave any of our favorite cartoons alone! He ruined Dexter's Laboratory and the Powerpuff Girls! Don't get me STARTED on his awful disasterpiece known as the LOUD HOUSE! I hate the Loud House just as much as I hate ANY of his Dexter and Powerpuff episodes. Just like Kick Buttowski! Kick Buttowski has Chris Savino's name! WHY WON'T HE DIE?! I hate Dexter's Laboratory (seasons 3-4), I hate the Powerpuff Girls (seasons 5-6), I hate Kick Buttowski (entire run), AND I FLIPPING HATE THE LOUD HOUSE! WHY DOES HE HAVE HIS NAME IN A LOT OF OUR FAVORITE SHOWS?! HE IS AN ANIMATION SUPERVILLAIN! He even ruined the Flintstones with The Flintstones on the Rocks! His episodes are just as bad as the new SpongeBobs! That's how bad he is.

No one cares about your precious little Dexter and Powerpuff. So Let It Go. - kcianciulli

This Guy Is Awesome, When he Created The Loud House, He Pretty Much Saved Nickelodeon, He Doesn't Deserve to Be Here - ChiefMudkip

Wait a minute, this IS the same guy responsible for Dexter's Laboratory's and the Powerpuff Girls' seasonal rot! How can I trust this bastard if he's responsible for those seasonal rots?! Now, he's ruined 2010s animation as we know it with the Loud House!

17 Derek Iverson

I can't say much about Mr. Iverson except that he apparently likes gross-out jokes.
Slide Whistle Stooges
Shuffle boarding
Squids Visit
Pineapple Fever

He hasn't written to many bad things that's why he's only #5 - bdcool3

He is a good guy. He just is more equipped to horror rather than comedy,

Hello u got derek last name wrong its Iversen

18 Doug Lawrence (AKA Mr. Lawrence)

Most of his episodes were good, but he also wrote One Coarse Meal. Admittedly, he regrets this. - KalloFox34

He wasn't the HEAD writer for episodes like Little Yellow Book, and SpongeBob, You're Fired. He pretty much holds the so-called "writers" together. This guy has MUCH better work in the pre-movie era, l'll say that. He shouldn't be THIS high on the list.

He's not bad he wrote as good episodes as bad ones. At least he should be lower than Casey.

He seems to be the only person who holds the writers together.

19 Charlotte Fullerton

Charlotte Fullerton and Merryweather Williams should be switched around. All of Charlotte Fullerton's mlp episodes, beside Suited for Success, are terrible.
Merryweather William wrote for pre-movie SpongeBob, and she has at least done some good episodes on mlp, like Wonderbolts Academy, Hearths Warming Eve, and Bats!.

20 Aaron Springer Aaron Springer (born September 5, 1973) is an American cartoon director and storyboard artist. He is best known for his work on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Springer has collaborated with various animation veterans such as Genndy Tartakovsky, Paul Rudish, Rumen Petkov, Stephen more.

Okay, Aaron Springer doesn't deserve to be here. Sure, he did some bad stuff when he was on SpongeBob, BUT, that would be undermining the fact that he wrote multiple episodes of Samurai Jack, and currently directs episodes of GRAVITY FALLS. Bad writer? Yeah, no.

Aaron Springer did some of the best episodes of SpongeBob ever, including Band Geeks, F.U. N, and The Krusty Krab Training Video. Sure, he would go on to do some Squidward torture porns in the future, one of them being boating buddies, but most of his bad reputation comes from what I think is the most underrated episode, House Fancy. You know, the one that gets hated for having a scene less than 10 minutes long? I see no reason for him to be on this list at all.

FUN was okay, but at least the other two you mentioned were awesome as heck! - Goatworlds

How did he go from writing classics like Band Geeks to horror shows like House Fancy and Boating Buddies?

He should be at number 2 at least. He created all the Squidward Torture Porns, but also had a few tricks up his sleeve.

21 John Kricfalusi Michael John Kricfalusi /ˌkrɪsfəˈluːsi/, better known as John K., is a Canadian animator, voice actor, producer, writer, and director best known for creating The Ren & Stimpy Show and founding the animation company Spümcø.

The best thing he did was hiring Pixar director Andrew Stanton

His work on the original Ren and Stimpy was good, but he's also an ephebophile. - KalloFox34

He molested teenage girls. Get this creep higher! - kcianciulli

Why hi---Ohh... NOW I see. This guy is a pedophile! Hell, HE EVEN RUINED REN AND STIMPY IN 2003! - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

22 Rebecca Sugar Rebecca Rea Sugar is a Jewish American animator, composer and director. She is best known for creating the Cartoon Network series Steven Universe, which has made her the first woman to independently create a series for the network.

Who had the idea of LGBT couples on Cartoon Network, No, Who WANTED LGBT couples on Cartoon Network, They never work, If there was a Sequel to Punch Time Explosion, A fusion Between Ruby, Sapphire, Bubblegum, Marceline, Princess Bluebelle, Modern Buttercup, EJ, and Sue should become the final boss, And all these couples I blame Rebecca Sugar for these couples and ruining my childhood

Please keep offensive opinions like that to yourself, please. - kcianciulli

Terrible inconsistent lazy writing

23 Spencer Porter

Well he did write for we bare bears so that’s one good thing

Apparently, he thinks it's justifiable to put ENTIRE music videos in the middle of an episode to pad it out an episode (See "The Juice Is Loose! " and "Foreign Affairs").

Ill have to check these episodes out cause I'm not a big fan not a fan at all of Family Guy. - bdcool3

I think he's an even worse writer than Casey Alexander or Zeus Cervas. He's written some of the worst Family Guy episodes of all time.
His episodes include:
Family Gay
The Juice Is Loose!
Not All Dogs Go to Heaven
Road to the Multiverse
Brian & Stewie
Brian Griffin's House of Payne

24 David Feiss

Both his shows are awful. - KalloFox34

I hate his work on Cow and Chicken and I Am Weasel. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

25 Sean Charmatz

He wrote Enchanted Tiki Dreams! - SAXO

This is the guy known as 'The Guy Who Wrote The Splinter' for me! Others he's written are:
The splinter
House Sittin For Sandy
Not many others... - bdcool3

26 Josh Haber

Honestly, I could go on for hours about how I firmly believe that Josh Haber is a bad writer. He's the biggest reason I think people dislike Starlight Glimmer, because he botched Season 6, which should have been the season where Starlight was developed, and instead we got a limp wristed attempt.

Josh Haber isn't a bad writer, just a really mediocre one.

This isn't fair. Haber wrote well in The Cutie Re-Mark!

HA, no

27 Steven Banks

He Wrote episodes like Yours, Mine and Mine, The Splinter, The Card and Nothing much else. This guy is a great writer he wrote Funny Pants, Krusty Towers, Roller Cowards, Banned in Bikini Bottom, and For Here or to Go

28 Danny Antonucci Daniel Edward "Danny" Antonucci is a Canadian animator, director, producer, and writer. He is known for creating the Cartoon Network animated comedy series Ed, Edd n Eddy. He also created Lupo the Butcher, Cartoon Sushi, and The Brothers Grunt.

He is the man that ruined Cartoon Network. And The Brothers Grunt was even worse! - KalloFox34

What is The Brothers Grunt? - Gehenna

An MTV cartoon that premiered in 1994 about gross white skinned red veined characters. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

Take him off this list please.

Come on, I know there were some bad episodes of Ed, Edd n Eddy, but that doesn't make Danny Antonucci a bad writer. If someone put this here just because they don't like Ed, Edd n Eddy, that is just a sad reason. Watch something like A Glass of Warm Ed and that'll prove Ed, Edd n Eddy isn't a bad show. - ModernSpongeBobSucks

29 Joe Murray Joseph David "Joe" Murray is an American animator, writer, illustrator, producer, director, and voice actor, best known as the creator of the Nickelodeon animated series Rocko's Modern Life and the Cartoon Network animated series Camp Lazlo.

Overall, yes, seeing as how Rocko is literally the only good thing on his track record (as downright UNBELIEVABLY amazing as the show may admittedly be) - xandermartin98

Come on! He shouldn't be here! - KalloFox34

30 Nate Cash

Needs to be higher because he wrote the card which ruined patrick and the splinter

He wrote some good episodes, but most of his episodes just turn SpongeBob and Patrick into annoying little preschoolers with the IQ of a potato. Actually, a potato would be smarter than SB and Patrick in Nate's episodes. And unlike Casey and Zeus, Nate Cash's writing for SB barely improved before he left.

31 Alec Sulkin

More like suckin

32 Scott Sonneborn

All of his MLP episodes sucked (with the exception of The Cutie Map, which was probably only good because he wrote it with Meghan McCarthy, a much better writer)

-Somepony to Watch Over Me had a stupidly executed moral and Applejack acting like a maniac
-Trade Ya was dull and insubstantial and had Rainbow Dash willing to sell Fluttershy into slavery just for a Daring Do book
-Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep? Had Luna trying to hurt herself (you know, for kids) and immaturely solved it by basically nothing more than Twilight giving her a compliment

33 Alex Carter
34 Vincent Waller

He's a good writer... - KalloFox34

He worked on the original Ren and Stimpy. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

What?! This guy pretty much saved SpongeBob. Hillenburg may be back, but he's mostly just helps out with the writing (not that that's a bad thing, he came up with the idea for Mermaid Pants, which was an awesome episode). Vincent Waller actually runs the show with Marc Ceccarelli. Their vision for SpongeBob is to make the show as cartoony as possible while keeping everyone in character. Not bad, considering that not a lot of cartoons are "cartoony" these days. Oh, and he wrote "Arrgh! " and "Texas", both really good Season 1 eps.

Why is this guy on here dude he wrote Arghh Skill Crane which was gold he is now a supervisor with Marc Ceccerali u mad now?

35 Johnathan Rozanski (MysteriousMrEnter)

This guy is a reviewer, not a cartoon writer.

He hasn't even created a cartoon episode yet. He shouldn't be on here.

People on this website really need to some research. How can someone call MrEnter a writer? He is a reviewer, NOT a writer. Whoever added him, please get your facts right. 😑 If you hate him, that's no problem but assuming that he's a writer, that is the real problem. - Hellohi

He isn't an official creator of a cartoon, so obviously the person who added him to this list wasn't too intelligent.

36 Ed Macdonald

The writer responsible for the unholy episode Sundae Muddy Sundae, a Total Drama episode which badly derails Courtney and Gwen's character. - theenter1005

Seriously dude? It's just ONE EPISODE that didn't meet YOUR expectations? Don't blame this poor guy.

I love SMS, I hate Courtney!

Let me guess, we all know him because of the hardcore travesty that was Total Drama All Stars. This guy should be a tiny bit higher, while J.D Quintel or Quintet on the other hand should be way lower than MacDonald. *singing* Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O. Oops, sorry about that. ^^' heheh. - Gehenna

37 Aaron Horvath

Doesn't say he's a bad guy just a bad writer. That's what this list is.

Writes for Teen Titans Go.

He wrote more than Jelenic so he's worse. He's the one responsible for those. - truespongebobfan

Just because he is the co-creator of TTG doesn't mean he is a bad guy.

38 Cherry Chevapravatdumrong

She worked on Family Guy - Goatworlds

What show did this person work on? the best name ever.

39 C.H. Greenblatt Carl Harvey "C. H." Greenblatt is an American cartoon screenwriter, producer, and storyboard artist. He has worked on the hit TV series SpongeBob SquarePants, and on the Cartoon Network's series The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Evil Con Carne. He is best known as the creator of Chowder, as well more.

Why is this dude on the list? He’s a good writer creating shows like chowder and Harvey beaks. He worked alongside Aaron springer and merriwether williams to create the greatest spongebob episodes of all time like band geeks or survival of the idiots. He doesn’t deserve this.

40 Steve Callaghan

He wrote "Fresh Heir."

Need I say more?

41 Paul Tibbitt Paul Harrison Tibbitt is an American animator, television producer, writer, storyboard artist, songwriter, and voice actor, best known for working on the animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Paul Tibbitt didn't do anything wrong. Nick was the one that ruined SpongeBob, and he has written some very good episodes. - KalloFox34

People on this website have a creepy addiction over nitpicking everything about Spongebob so yeah, every single one of the show's writers will be number 1 on this list whereas there are worse things on T.V. than Spongebob(6-8). - Hellohi

He is a good writer if derek drymon was still in SpongeBob the show would be good

He KILLED SpongeBob. Need I say more?

42 Andrew Goldberg

He looks like someone from the 1800's - kcianciulli

You know, for being Seth MacFarlane's first assistant after Family Guy got revived, I wanted to be a great writer but sadly that's not the case. He was the one that wrote the first episode of the show I considered to be bad which was the OJ Simpson episode. He also did the herpe episode and the one with Quagmire marrying a hooker as well as the roasting Peter episode and they weren't that good. Thankfully he made up with Inside Family Guy, an episode that premiered a couple weeks ago, acknowledging some of his and other writers' bad writing in the past several seasons. So far, he's mixed. - truespongebobfan

43 Michael Jelenic

This guy writes for Teen Titans Go. Need I say more? If I do then know this, he and Horvath write nonsensical plots that are painfully unfunny and insulting to fans of the original Teen Titans. They once wrote an episode script in 3 days and put in on the air and claim that they would never rip off someone else's work. If you could just search these two online (Their interviews) then you'll know what I mean.

WAAA HE WRTE FR TEN TITNS GO HE IS EVIL! Seriously, just because he works for TTG doesn't mean he is a bad person.

44 Jim Dirschberger

Sanjay and Craig. He made those two twits. - Goatworlds

Why did Grey Delisle voiced Darlene in "Sanjay and Craig"? She deserved much better!

45 Ray DeLaurentis

He just write bad episode of FOP his the reason why some episode are boring

46 Ralph Bakshi
47 Marc Ceccarelli

He is a good writer

Yes, this guy will be worse than Paul Tibbitt as showrunner for SpongeBob. - SpaceGoofsGeekerBoy

48 Eric Weiner

His episodes of dora always have too much screaming but yet I like them

Also co-created Dora the Explorer along with Chris and Valerie

49 Mark Steinberg

Writes several Numb Chucks episodes

50 Dani Michaeli

He wrote some of the most boring and dull episodes of Spongebob like The Gift of Gum, Atlantis Squarepantis, House Fancy, Someone's in the Kitchen with Sandy, and Are You Happy Now. - Noobelli
