Worst Cartoons of 2017

The Top Ten
1 Teen Titans Go! 'Teen Titans Go!' is an American animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. The show follows a superhero group called the Teen Titans, and shows what happens when they go home and have silly adventures. This show is Cartoon Network's revival of the popular 2003-2006 American animated television show, 'Teen Titans'.

A long long time ago... in 2013... CN greenlit a reboot of Teen Titans. Did it have the sheer emotional depth? Did it have the anime influenced animation? Nope. No way. Let's replace those genius concepts with the joy of eating a sandwich. Really? This is CN's favourite show, appearing on the schedule too many times? On a plus note, There are good episodes like Colors of Raven or 40% 40% 20%. Regardless, most of these episodes were poorly written. I think Adventure Time deserves more slots in the schedule than this abysmal reboot.

Airing Teen Titans Go!... for 159 times a week! I mean, has Cartoon Network been corrupted by this show's undeserved popularity and high ratings to the point they don't care about putting quality into their shows anymore? Thankfully, Genndy Tartakovsky is going to teach those retarded CEO's at Cartoon Network a lesson when he premieres the fifth and final season of Samurai Jack on March 9, 2017 on Adult Swim. Gotta get back, back to the past.

Sometimes it's funny, other times it's just stupid. In the end, this show is just too stupid (and at times, annoying) for me to consider it good (even if it has its moments). And yes, I can talk about this show calmly. I don't actually hate it after all. I just think it's mediocre. Why can't OK KO or Gumball be CN's top show? They're awesome! Why did it have to be TTG? What's the appeal?

It needs to get cancelled because this show ripped off teen Titans and the show is just babyish and similar to lazy town!

2 The Powerpuff Girls The Powerpuff Girls is an American animated television series created by animator Craig McCracken for Cartoon Network. The main characters of this show are Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. The show is about the Professor Utonium creating three little superhero girls that save the day from villains. This show has an anime spinoff made in Japan, three specials, a movie in theatres, and a reboot. The show aired from 1998 to 2005.

Please cancel this, I hope the reboot loses success and gets cancelled as early as possible. It ruined my favorite show of all time and gives it a bad name. It shames the original. I have had enough of this, the characters turned into jerks, bad voice actresses, nonstop drama, no action. And it lacks the awesome villians the original had and its humor. The humor is not funny and is just memes and unfunny jokes. This is by far Cartoon Network's worst recent show.

If I were to make a reboot, I would of made it into an anime or just another style that is semi realistic. I would of made the girls older and make it have awesome and bloody action scenes that are very violent and dark. I would make Him and The Rowdyruff Boys even darker and add rock music to it. But at the same time, there will be clever jokes and there will be humor, no memes or twerking or anything exaggerated. I would use the original voice actresses.

Cartoon Network should be ashamed for ever rebooting this beloved Cartoon Cartoon and turning it into kid-pandering garbage. Thank God we have the upcoming Samurai Jack revival that will be directed by its original creator Genndy Tartakovsky! Man, I wish Craig McCracken didn't have to suffer such a heartbreaking fate. I just hope they don't ruin Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends next.

Not all hope is lost! It got death-slotted to Sunday evenings a while back, so it probably won't be around much longer.

3 Big Mouth Big Mouth is an American adult animated sitcom created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett featuring teens based on Kroll and Goldberg's upbringing in Westchester County, New York, with Kroll voicing his fictional self.

Pretty much what Cartoonfan202 said. Seriously, 2017 has NOT been a good year for Netflix. They've barred their anime exclusives from their audience even though such exclusives are already airing in Japan, they've created yet another live-action anime adaptation disaster in what we know as Death Note (2017), they absolutely disgraced The Magic School Bus by giving it a cheaply-animated reboot that does no justice to the original show, AND NOW THIS. You know, it's fine for adult shows to have satirical content that categorize into a wide array of highly sensitive and controversial subjects. However, Netflix doesn't seem to know that America (might as well throw the whole world into this as well since cultural barriers won't stop people from other countries from hating this show) has standards when it comes to creating these types of shows. Everywhere from the horrid production value in terms of the shoddy animation and voice acting to the show essentially being child pornography passed ...more

Only a few days in since this item's submission and this show is already in the top 5! By the Epic of Gilgamesh, let's see if we can bump this up to the top spot. Honestly, for a terrible adult cartoon like this by Netflix, it's horrible enough to make me want to watch awful reboots like Teen Titans Go! and The Powerpuff Girls (2016), bad seasons of otherwise good shows like Ninjago and The Fairly OddParents, and even as far as Netflix's critically-panned 2017 live-action Death Note! Also, why are anime on this list? Especially ones that didn't even AIR in 2017! But I think with enough voting, we can bypass all the sheer bias and lack of research and get what TRULY deserves the title of worst cartoon of 2017. And that is Big Mouth.

This show is honestly quite good, sure, it can go overboard at times with the shock humour, but I can safely say that a lot of people voting for this haven't even watched anything more than the trailer (which admittedly makes the show look like complete garbage) the show itself is slightly more clever with the jokes, as well as having some good character development and genuinely touching moments. The show also captures the nightmares of puberty quite well, all in all, this show is pretty good and I wish that more people would bother watching more than the terrible trailer.

A show with an interesting premise, only destroyed by bad attempts at shock humor, horrible consistencies, and god awful character design. There are good jokes in there and I would give this thing a 6/10, at best, honestly. It's not good, but it certainly not bad either. But Rotten Tomatoes gave this thing 100%. 100%! I wouldn't be surprised if the critics from that site were reviewing this thing at gunpoint, and if they didn't give it a 100%, then they would be killed on the spot. That what I believe.

4 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. This show didn't release its pilot in 2017 so it can't qualify for the list

5 Steven Universe Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The show's based around a young boy by the name of Steven Universe, who is a hybrid of a gem and a human. He lives with his gem friends, Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl.

All Cartoon Network shows are bad except We Bare Bears and The Amazing World Of Gumball.

Steven Universe is the best show on Cartoon Network in my opinion

It's not bad. It's just overrated and has a bad fandom.

Its fandom drove a girl to commit suicide!

6 Star vs. the Forces of Evil "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" is an American animated television comedy produced by Disney Television Animation for Disney XD. It was created by Daron Nefcy and developed by Jordana Arkin and Dave Wasson. The series follows teenage magical princess from the dimension of Mewni Star Butterfly and her teenage human roommate and best friend from Earth Marco Diaz as they live their daily lives, go on adventures in other dimensions, and try to prevent the forces of evil from stealing Star's magic wand. The first episode aired on January 18, 2015 on Disney Channel but its first season officially premiered on Disney XD on March 30, 2015 and ended on September 21, 2015. 7 Pickle and Peanut Pickle and Peanut is an American animated television series that premiered on Disney XD on September 7, 2015. The series was created by Noah Z. Jones, creator of Fish Hooks and Almost Naked Animals.

What, is this too funny and not cookie cutter enough for you. Gee so something different and not " superheroy" and you bash it. Stop being boreing old people and enjoy life! If you even cancel this to pander to old fart boring people your as crazy as them. Why is it the complainers get heard and not the cheerers like in sanjay and creig another great toon gone because of people with no sence of humor and with no inner child left. Heres a thought all yall, turn the channel.

Disney was like: Hey! We should make a cartoon ripping off Breadwinners, and it will be even worse than the sitcoms!

I can't believe this was by Disney

So bad it makes me laugh

8 The Fairly OddParents The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series created by Butch Hartman for Nickelodeon.

The fairly oddparents should be number nothing it's the best show proceed on

You might be referring to the new seasons but the old ones were quite good

Take this off now

9 Spongebob Squarepants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the sea. The show is considered to be one of the best Nickelodeon and cartoon shows of all time.

I like Spongebob but I don't like it so much when it's on all the time.

This show was good in the begginning, but later on turned into udder crap.

"What have you done with the real Squidward? "

This show is amazing funny and cool

10 Ninjago

I watched when I was 7, it messed up like all other cartoons, it became to complex in the story. Dumb in the first place though, like power rangers!

Nah man, ninjago is lit. It has an overarching continuous story, which is impressivw for most modern T.V. shows, let alone a toy tie in.

Okay this show is so cool it makes me wanna be one!

TwilightKitsune, Well Too Bad, It's Getting A Movie This September

The Contenders
11 VeggieTales in the House
12 The Loud House The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino for Nickelodeon. The series revolves around the chaotic suburban everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud and his ten sisters, to which he survives as the middle child and only son in a large family of eleven children. Originally set to premier on January 2016, the series instead premiered on May 2, 2016, with the episodes Left in the Dark and Get the Message.

The main character's friends has 2 dads and there married! The cartoon has gayness in it! The worst part of it that it's for KIDS.

I hope this wont replace Spongebob... even though the Modern Spongebob sucks, the old episode will be within our hearts! ='(

This is pretty much one of Nickelodeon's only saving graces along with Bunsen Is a Beast.

The loud house? More like the gay house. The creator got fired. Why hasent this show been canceled yet?

13 Dora the Explorer Dora the Explorer (2000 - 2019) is an American preschool educational animated TV series created by Chris Gifford, Valerie Walsh, and Eric Weiner in which Dora goes on adventures with her friend, a monkey named Boots.

I think using the word "cancer" as slang should be banned. Its just a far-fetched preschool show.

This show didn't even air any new episodes in 2017.

Its more than bad its death to all

Horror, Horror, oh the Horror.

14 Neo Yokio

Since this is supposed to be a Japanese-American animated series, this does have the qualification to be fit for this list as a cartoon rather than an anime. The show fails to be an anime, the show fails to be a parody of anime, and the show fails to be a show. I haven't watched a full episode of the show yet, but based on all the negative reviews it has gotten and all the clips I've watched of it, this show is horrible in every aspect. Production value is at an all-time low with the horrid animation, awful casting choices and voice acting, etc. So I was surprised to learn that Studio Deen and Production I.G. (rather, I was more surprised with the latter) actually helped animate Neo Yokio. And let me tell you, Neo Yokio is chock-full of animation errors and off-scale models. Off-scale models are usually detrimental to animation quality, but sometimes they can actually give off a positively artistic (legitimately artistic, not ironically artistic) vibe. Hayao Miyazaki utilized this ...more

15 Uncle Grandpa Uncle Grandpa is an American animated television series created by Peter Browngardt for Cartoon Network that premiered on the network on September 2, 2013. The series is based on Browngardt's animated short of the same name from The Cartoonstitute.

I hate this show. It's completely illogical and just plain stupid.

I actually used to watch this because I loved the randomness.

I want uncle grandpa inside of me

It sucks really!

16 The Magic School Bus Rides Again

The Magic School Bus Rides Again is shaping up to be my favorite flash animation remake of a 90s cartoon which I watched in childhood. And believe it or not there was a lot to choose from.

This is a baby show, and we had to watch it and even the old one in 5th grade science class. Even all of the kids enjoyed it in 5th grade science class except for me.

The animation looks awful, the 90s version had better animation than this. They also removed Phoebe and replaced her with some girl named Jyoti. That was very pointless.

This is why reboots are bad and shouldn't use flash animation...

17 Bunsen Is a Beast! Busen is a Beast is created by Fairly Odd Parents creator Butch Hartman. The show tells about a monster named Bunsen who goes to a human school and has many adventures.

I haven't watched it an episode of it yet, but I really like the character Bunsen a lot. As for the show, it looks pretty fun and creative as well. Kind of reminds me of the weirdly innovative Nicktoons from the 90's. Who needs season 10 of The Fairly OddParents when you can have this as the second-in-command for bringing Nickelodeon back to its former glory again? Plus, this cartoon is supposed to be a social commentary that revolves around themes of social integration, acceptance, and championing the right to be different. Butch Hartman, you've created yet another wonderful show for Nickelodeon. Keep up the good work, my man.

I've seen how it looks and it looks terrible.

18 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American 3D rendered computer animated television series based on the fictional superhero team. It aired on Nickelodeon in the United States from September 29, 2012 to November 12, 2017.

Okay take this off it so cool and pizza is cool

19 The Lion Guard The Lion Guard is an American animated television series developed by Ford Riley based on Disney's 1994 film "The Lion King". The series was first broadcast with a television movie titled "The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar" on Disney Channel on November 22, 2015 and began airing as a TV series on January 15, 2016 on Disney Junior and Disney Channel. It is the second television series to be based on The Lion King, the first being "Timon & Pumbaa" (1995–1999). The Lion Guard is a sequel to The Lion King and takes place during the time-gap within the 1998 sequel film, "The Lion King II: Simba's Pride". The series ended its run on November 3, 2019, after 3 seasons.

This show is pretty good. Why is it even on the list?

20 My Knight and Me

The characters are annoying, the animation is horrible, and it's just stupid all around.
And 'Princess Cat' is the most hideous and disgusting princess I've ever seen in a cartoon. Seriously, what the hell is with that big fat facial mole? And am I the only one who noticed that it switched cheeks?

This show is horrible. I don't watch Ninjago but from what I have seen it is in no way 14 spots worse than this piece of CGI crap.

21 Nexo Knights
22 Sofia the First Sofia the First is an American computer-animated television series that features a commoner joining the royal family as a princess.

Confession: I...actually kinda like this show (sometimes, otherwise it is quite drab). It's one of the few good Disney shows still going on *runs*

This programme is very offensive, Sofia builds a wall to keep the Mexicans out! How stupid is that?

Lol her face! She deserves it for being an annoying brat!

23 Kuu Kuu Harajuku

I would rather watch winx club (which I am a fan of) Than this crap.

24 Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
25 The Bagel and Becky Show

Annoying and terrible
