Worst Defensive Lineman of the 2018 NFL Season

The Top Ten

1 Solomon Thomas

He's playing in the wrong position. Robert Saleh has to use him better - SirSheep

I was hoping he'd be that next gamechanger next to Deforest Buckner who now has emerged as that captain in the D-Line. Where as with Thomas there's something looking Matt Millen like in Santa Clara and it ain't looking to good for John Lynch. - htoutlaws2012

2 Charles Harris

His had two season to try and shine, and he Harris hasn't stepped up to the plate just yet. With a regressed Cameron Wake, and Robert Quinn not living up to what they could of brought to a average Defensive Line is Harris a 1st round bust kinda like what Dion Jordan was. - htoutlaws2012

3 Star Lotulelei

Pretty much the replacement for departured Marcell Dareus didn't do a whole much more really, and for his time with Miami he was one of the slightly better players, and on this squad his just an average interior defender with the wrong fit scheme. - htoutlaws2012

4 Danny Shelton Danny Shelton is an American football defensive tackle for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

He makes plenty of tackles, but you expect the guy to bounce back after many awful years with Cleveland nope never fizzled into anything ordinary. - htoutlaws2012

5 Marcell Dareus Marcell Dareus, is an American football defensive tackle for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League.

The former Bill traded his colors to green teal Black, and went downhill with a stacked defense his more of a backup which seems very odd for a guy who played good interior in Buffalo for a while. - htoutlaws2012

6 Markus Golden

The second rounder from 2015 has not looked anything close to what they have hoped for, and it shows. I mean really you won the lottery when it came to getting Chandler Jones who came from a Patriot organization, but other than Patrick Peterson who else on this defense is a potential star really and it all goes back to Golden. - htoutlaws2012

7 Ezekiel Ansah Ezekiel Nana "Ziggy" Ansah is a Ghanaian-born American football defensive end for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League.

Well Ezekiel Ansah is pretty much DeAndre Levy only up front pretty much, and that's the sad truth both guys can be good when healthy, but when there hurt for consecutive season things get bad, and luckily they found something in Romeo Okwara, but there gonna need more help in stopping the run, and this team could lose quite the number of stars that once were picking in the top 5 as they deservedly should. - htoutlaws2012

8 Julius Peppers

After having an impressive season for a late 30's defensive player, Peppers went from 10 sacks to only 4 sacks,a and a switched up role which seems oddly positioned which led to the stunner of Carolina under performing in the second half to bad defensive gameplan, and tackling being the other not all fall on him, but for a guy whose been there forever you would think that's what would carry the team right? - htoutlaws2012

9 Brandon Graham

Didn't do nearly as much as he did the previous year, but with supporting hep from Barnett little was on the side Graham was on. They have a 50/50 shot of making the playoffs though. - htoutlaws2012

10 Brooks Reed

With Beasley and McKinley doing most of the up front work they didn't get a lot of good helpings from Reed this season. There better stopping the run than they are stopping the pass, but getting pressure off of opposing running backs was one of the worst for the team. - htoutlaws2012
