Worst Designed Gen 5 Pokemon
Gen 5 is definitely where people began to talk about ideas running low in terms of what Pokemon to add, and while I personally find the generation to be quite good in general, it's impossible to deny that certain Pokemon really did look absolutely terrible.Quite possibly the most infamous of all the poorly designed gen 5 pokemon, Garbodor looks absolutely abysmal, and I personally have no idea who thought that it was a good idea to have a literal pile of garbage as a pokemon. Undoubtedly one of the worst looking of them all.
*A Wild Garbodor Appeared! * EW!
*Person Used Minigun! *
*Garbodor died! *
...Forget about what I said. This list is right unlike the others. Who would like a GARBAGE Pokémon? HELL NO! No one. It also sucks when it comes to popularity. LIKE DUDE. It's so ugly. Weak. Got nothing. This is a joke, I like all Pokémon, so don't be sad, Garbodor!
So...yeah.
Despite being very ugly and poorly designed, I'd take this over Muk any day
And the worst designed gen 5 pokemon is...
I just find this one to look so uninspired, having a pokemon that looks like ice cream in the first place is a bad idea, but then having it be a three part evolution where each looks stupider than the previous was such a bad decision.
Hey! Vanilluxe's my favorite Ice-type Pokemon of all time! But I can sorta see why people hate it and its pre-evolutions though.
The eyes on this thing just look straight up unsettling and really ruin a design that was already just average.
Looks like its on drugs
What I said about Garbodor applies to Trubbish as well, albeit to a slightly lesser extent, due to it not being quite as much of an eyesore.
Awful as well
I just think that it looks incredibly unpleasant in general, with a sickly pink colouration to its head being the thing that I find the most unappealing aspect of it.
It looks like it has half of an egg for a diaper
Looks like its wearing a diaper
While pokemon being fashioned after objects is something I'm often fine with, I still have my limits, and pokemon such as klink definitely go past it. It's such a lazy design to simply stick a face onto a couple of cogs.
A pair of gears. Yes! This is what it's evolution line is based on. Then it evolves into Klink then Klinklang and no facial expression is changed.
Seriously, is this pokemon just two cogs?
It's just two gears, enough said!
While I don't hate the design of this as much as a lot of other people do, I still can't deny the fact that it does look really bad. The colours of it are extremely unappealing, and it looks quite bad in general.
A flat fish, enough said
He's pretty cool in my opinion, but why is he called basculin? Sounds like masculine, wait can this pokemon only be male?
Just another ugly pokemon in general. It kinda looks like an angry old man.
It is basically just an angry-looking piranha.
Magikarp is better
Crygonal's design is extremely confusing. I get that the artists were trying to capture the look of a snowflake, but it feels like they tried too hard and too lazily at the same time. The only saving grace of Crygonal is its 'personality', which is expressed when it uses its chains to tie up an opponent. But other than that, it's blander than Vanillish.
Come on! It has a awesome design
These designs hurt my eyes
While I find Litwick to look kinda cute, and for Chandelure to look really cool, I can't really describe this as anything other than stupid looking.
Looks like whenever you tell him a secret he will spoil it in front of everyone
I just find the face it has to look somewhat uncanny and poorly thought out.
It looks very clunky and more like a damaged stone statue of a dragon than an actual living dragon itself. Also, its two alternate forms, White Kyurem, and Black Kyurem, look over designed and convoluted.
The Luvdisc evolution that's not a Luvdisc evolution
It's an upgraded Luvdisc. Woo hoo.
Someone was building a Pokemon from Lego and couldn't find the right head, so just jammed a red block on there.
