Worst Designed Gen 7 Pokemon

Gen 7 is my personal pick for the worst of all the gens, as there is a much higher number of Pokemon that I just find to look outright awful. Many of the designs are either plain stupid, or extremely uninspired, often a mix of both.
The Top Ten
1 Palossand

Heres how game freak came up with this... thing
The staff was at the beach and they saw some people making sand castles and then they decided to hit a little weed and thought about sand castles. Back to the office, someone came in with some more weed and he was willing to share so they decided to turn that castle they saw into a pokemon.

I really have no idea who thought that making a sandcastle pokemon was a good idea. It is quite possibly my least favourite design if pokemon from any generation, as it manages to have such a bad concept, and look all around terrible.

Just from the picture of this pokemon I can tell it's one of the laziest pokemons out there

Come on, it's unique. Not poorly designed at all.

2 Buzzwole Buzzwole is a dual-type Bug/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. It is one of the Ultra Beasts and is known by the code name UB-02 Absorption.

I find this to look laughably awful, and I don't know what else to say other than that, nothing has come close to looking as stupid as this, and this is after considering Probopass.

It looks more like it would be a stand from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure than an actual Pokemon.

When I first saw a picture of it I thought it was from a different game. that's how out of place it looks.

What is that? Is that some mosquito transformer?

3 Crabominable

While I find it to look fairly bad in general, the thing that makes me really hate it is how awkwardly designed its face looks.

This design looks terrible in my opinion. Crabrawler is okay, but I don't like how Crabominable looks.

I have SEVERAL questions.

That face though

4 Bruxish

While the colour choices are fairly nice, I just find its lips and eyes to make it look unsightly, as well as its teeth.

Is this even exist? I never find on game.

5 Stakataka

The first wave of Ultra Beasts from the first Sun and Moon games were awesome. This, however, along with Blacephelon and the Poipole line, is just pointless filler in an attempt to increase the longevity of the 7th generation when we already have more than enough Legendaries/Mythicals/Ultra Beasts introduced in SM to begin with

Very dull looking in general, simply reminding me of a more artificial looking version of the various rock pokemon from the series.

Heres how GameFreak came up with whatever the hell this thing is

So one of the workers were on break and thinking of new pokemon. He was playing jenga and decided to make it a pokemon

The concept is cool, but it looks too alien to be considered a Pokemon. It does resemble a guardian a little, though.

6 Charjabug

Well, I find it to look about as stupid as its name is on the nose. This is just another one of those concepts that I can't really see properly working in a way that would produce anything of decent quality.

I can't even tell what it's suppose to be

7 Yungoos

While its design is mostly fine, having a generally nice look to it while also being fairly simple, its mouth looks disproportionate to the rest of its face, and leaves it looking quite stupid.

Looks like an evil mongoose with shark teeth and with yellow hairs on its body. It just looks unpleasant.

I feel like game freak is mocking trump.

Why that angry face?

8 Incineroar Incineroar, known in Japan as Gaogaen, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

Litten is probably my least fave starter in Gen 7, and that's not suprising as it has the worst looking evolutions! Rowlet is miles better!

He just rips off Tony the Tiger and John Cena! >: (

Gross. It looks like it is peeing fire.

9 Pyukumuku

While the design is terrible as is, they didn't even bother to make an evolution so it has no real purpose other than to be an insult to the franchise.

Pokemon has always had modern art versions but its going more and more.

What kind of name is this

Why does it exist?

10 Mareanie

Pokemon like this show how even the smallest of details can drastically change how aesthetically pleasing something is. In this case, the simple addition of a middle tooth makes what could be a cool looking pokemon end up looking quite bad.

The Contenders
11 Litten Litten, known in Japan as Nyabby, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise.

6th ugliest?! This thing is nowhere near as ugly as Stakataka which is at 10th.

12 Mimikyu Mimikyu is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. It is a Ghost and Fairy type whose ability, disguise, allows it to take one hit without taking damage

Somebody please get this off the list!
It's my personal favorite Pokemon of Gen 7.

its true form is a black blob of some sort

13 Toucannon

It's just an angry toucan with a few red feathers on its tail. How lazy is that?

My least favorite out of all of the regional birds so far in my opinion.

14 Dhelmise Dhelmise is a Dual Type Ghost/Grass Pokèmon introduced in Generation VII. It not know to evolve into or from any other Pokemon.

Who thought this was a good idea?

Bottom of the barrel design.

15 Stufful Stufful is a small, bear Pokémon with a pink head. It is often misspelled as "Stuffuulu". It evolves into Bewear, another bear-like Pokémon, but Bewear can squash someone's spine by hugging.

While I find the shape of its head to look incredibly stupid, I do find it quite funny how the pokedex refers to it as a highly dangerous pokemon, allowing me to somewhat ignore the terrible design of it, as it is quite funny with that bit of context.

I actually like this Pokemon's design.

16 Gumshoos

Like a version of Yungoos, but can stand upright, has an uglier face and sharp spikes. Yikes. At least this doesn't exist in real life.

Yuck. Almost wish I didn't vote for Stakataka, because this abomination is even worse! Kill it with fire.

It looks like trump.

17 Alolan Arcanine
18 Togedemaru Togedemaru is a spherical, rodent-like Pokémon. Most of its front is white, while its back is primarily gray. It has black eyes, a short pointed snout with a black nose, and a circular, yellow marking on each cheek. Scattered across its back are yellow and brown triangular markings, which this Pokémon is able to extend straight up when attacking. There is a tail-like needle on the back of its head. The needle is gray with a yellow tip and is shaped like a lightning bolt. Additionally, it has stubby arms and legs. ...read more.

While the pokemon itself looks pretty good, it is also incredibly derivative of Pikachu, and as such, is very lazily designed due to how similar it is.

Too small arms

19 Torracat
20 Alolan Golem
21 Sandygast
22 Comfey

I actually think Comfey is okay. It looks a little like an Alolan Flabebe.

One of only 2 gen 7 pre-USUM mons I dislike (the other being Bruxish)

23 Meltan

Overall, a Mythical version of Ditto that looks like the writers fused together all of the traits from Electric and Steel and stuck them on the poor creature. And the result looks dorky.

Not gen 7, he's gen 8

24 Alolan Meowth
25 Alolan Dugtrio

It's just dugtrio heads given funny-looking blonde wigs.
