Top 10 Worst Disney Attraction Refurbishments
The Top Ten Worst Disney Attraction Refurbishments
The original Journey Into Imagination was absolutely amazing. Journey Into YOUR Imagination was horrible. The public hated it so much that Disney closed the ride just TWO YEARS after its opening. - railfan99
What a great idea, Disney. Get one of your best rides and turn it into something based on one of the most overrated movies in history. - railfan99
From a beloved timeless Epcot gem to a deadly space mountain ripoff
Disney, why would you replace Horizons with a ride that has INJURED HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE?! - railfan99
You don't have to reply twice you know... plus, here's why I put this here: From June 2005 to June 2006, paramedics treated 194 Mission: Space riders. The most common complaints were dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Of those 194 guests: 25 people passed out, 26 suffered difficulty breathing and 16 reported chest pains or irregular heartbeats - railfan99
I agree that they shouldn't have closed Tower of Terror, but Mission Breakout is still pretty fun. - MegaSoulhero
Surprised this ain't at #1 yet.
Again, replacing an iconic ride to get more money from people. SMH, Disney - railfan99
Good ride, but terrible replacement. - RadioHead03
They could’ve just demolished the entire track and rebuild the tracks from scratch and add new track effects to make it fast?!
What happens when you have a high speed ride on an older structure? It damages it, and frequently breaks down. Rocket Rods was extremely unreliable, and broke down at least once a day. - railfan99
Greg, it's 2009 version not 2019 version... but yeah the 2019 version is terrible, and the face screens are from the 2009 version. - Maddox121
This yer they removed the moving walkway and all the screens that you see your face on.
You know some people have trouble walking due to things like diabetes or MS, but now they will have to suffer and only make everything worse. - Gregory
Too dark, you can't see anything. - railfan99
They just refurbished the lighting again, but all you can really see are tiny stars and barely anything else. - Gregory
Journey Into Imagination With Figment is better than its predecessor, but nowhere near the 80s version. - railfan99
Once again, closing a great ride and turning it into something based on two of the most annoying characters in anime history. - railfan99
This ride seems is going to insult Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the most beloved characters in Disney. - Gregory
Doing it to get more money. Cough. Cough - railfan99
Obviously, this is not a problem since Epcot is about the Future.
I'm neutral to "Tron Track" - Maddox121
I myself don't hate this refurb anymore, but there are a lot of people who do. - railfan99
That’s enough Star Wars, disney!
To be honest, I prefer Paradise Pier. It had at least charm into it. Pixar Pier feels like a re-skin from Six Flags. - RadioHead03
They should’ve kept it Paradise Pier instead of changing it to Pixar Pier
Awful. Really shows how Disney doesn't care about the CA parks.
This is part of the Pixar Pier refurb. - railfan99
Why did they close this ride? Wasn’t this everyone’s favorite ride before the Pixar Pier retheme
Worst Disney move, they turned one of the best Attractions into the worst.
UGH This was the WORST! They turned a great attraction and turned it into garbage.
That was horrible
I’d prefer a band replacement instead of iron man. A band like Panic at the Disco or Twenty One Pilots or AC/DC
I hope they don’t close the one in Florida. - RadioHead03
This is for Disneyland Paris, though I heard rumors that Disney’s gonna turn Disney World’s version into Monsters Inc. door factory. - Gregory
Terrible, do I need to say more? - Maddox121
And they made it even worse when it became Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain.
Greedy Disney with all the Star Wars stuff. - Gregory
I used to ride this a long time ago, it was when it was original and classic, and we crashed through a barn, and now, Disney changed it to fit with the new Storybook Circus after closing down Toontown Fair.
Apparently, you don’t crash through a barn anymore, but a billboard.
I don’t get why it’s still called the Barnstormer.
They ruined a wonderful ride.
