R.I.P Gravity Falls (2012-2016)

Gamecubesarecool193 Seriously? They just had to go out and kill the only good show on Disney anymore. In late 2015, Disney announced that Gravity Falls would be ending. This is bad for 3 reasons:

It was a good show.

The characters were awesome, and it felt like the older seasons of Regular Show, which, in my heart, has died in comedy. It used to be good but has gone down ever since Season 5. C.J ruined the show and made it about romance instead of crazy adventures. However, Gravity Falls was always an excellent show from beginning to end.

People liked it.

Okay, this is where I'm getting pretty mad. One, why would they put a show that nearly everyone loves and take it off the air? That just ruins your reputation. The fans loved the show and it was making money and people were viewing it! Whoever cancelled it is crazy.

It destroyed Disney Channel.

Ahhh. Disney Channel. Remember Kim Possible, Even Stevens, Phil Of the Future, Lilo And Stich, and That's So Raven? All cancelled! In just seven years, A T.V Station has turned into an excuse. Something that has died. In quality and in heart. They replaced it with Fish Hooks,
Liv & Maddie, and Jessie. Forward to 2013, and there is only one good show left: Gravity Falls. This cancellation has completely obliterated this channel. From now on, If Disney Channel or Disney XD is the only thing on, I'll just turn it to HGTV instead. Even watching that is more exciting. The parks are still great, but the channel has died. Radio Disney, on the other hand, was never good. It was always complete trash, editing songs ridiculously by replacing the lines with ones that make no sense or removing the lines entirely. Can you not just edit the inappropriate line? Because of what's going on at Disney, I'll never watch Disney Channel again. Disney XD? Don't even start with that.

Goodbye, Gravity Falls. Thanks for the memories.

True, but here's one thing I disagree with. Why RIP? The show is still alive. In the hearts of the fandom plus they show some reruns of it on Disney and they have it on kisscartoon. So no it's not dead, as long as we remember it in our hearts. - Anonymousxcxc

I loved Gravity Falls, but I have to disagree with you on the end of the show being bad. On Alex Hirsch's Tumblr post, he stated that the show was being ENDED, not CANCELLED. If you see the last episode, it's clear it wasn't cancelled. He did this because he wanted to make it clear to the audience that summer doesn't last forever, childhood isn't infinite. This was a coming-of-age show, and he wanted a beginning, middle, and end. Also, he noted that most kids' shows go on indefinitely, and it becomes kind of a stretch, like Phineas and Ferb, whose summer lasted four seasons and eight years, and 104 days became at least 200. The show wasn't just a show, it was an experience. He started a perfect show, and he ended it perfectly, too.
