Top 10 Worst Disney Princes

Basically, most of the Disney princes are terrible. So let's discuss them.
The Top Ten
1 Prince Hans Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, also known as Hans Westergaard, is a fictional character from Walt Disney Animation Studios' 53rd animated film, Frozen.

This is the only prince on this list who ends up being the villain in a movie. I thought that was a pretty clever twist, but the problem is Hans sucks as a villain! When was the last time Disney has had a great villain in one of their movies? Hans' motivation for being evil is terrible! He attempts to get rid of Anna and Elsa so he could have a place on the throne. This doesn't make any sense because if they died, another relative would take the throne. Someone who is married into the royal family can't take the throne on their own! And yes, I looked this up. Basically, Hans' plan is very flawed. He sucks at being both a prince and a villain!

If I ever see his face again, I'm definitely going to throw a cat at his face and let it scratch his ugly face until that stupid smile or grin of his dies down. Plus he's a hypocrite. I wouldn't even be surprised if Elsa freezes him to death for the rest of his life.

Elsa and Anna don't have any other relatives. If they did, Elsa wouldn't have become queen in the first place.

I like it when he gets karma in Frozen Fever and all the horse laugh

2 Prince Charming

I really hate when people fall in love with someone and they don't even bother to recognize the person's face! There's this one girl I've known for years who I kind of have a crush on and I happen to know a lot about her. Prince Charming only had one dance with Cinderella and they immediately fall in love, yet he doesn't know anything about her and doesn't even remember what she looks like! That's not true love! He actually goes to every girl in town and has them try on a glass slipper and sees if it fits them! And seriously, how was there no one with the same size foot as Cindy!? And when he finds Cindy and puts the glass slipper on her, they get married! Even though he doesn't love her enough to actually recognize her by her face! She only recognizes her by her foot size! Remember what Anna said in Frozen? Foot size doesn't matter! And he doesn't know a single thing about Cindy! He probably doesn't even know her name! He just so happens to fall in love with the one blonde girl at ...more

Stop criticizing him only because of the shoe thing! Let me say 2 words: Grand Duke. Oh you're still saying he forgot the girl so he has to use a shoe to remember her. Wrong! The Grand Duke is the one who put the shoe on every girl. Another question: does he have a personality? Answer: Yes, which other prince you think jumped out a window? None other than this guy of course! So in conclusion, I think these haters are just stupid and judgmental and bossy and don't remember the grand Duke. He does have a personality except you don't even realize that and instead jump to conclusions.

Whoever put this guy because he forgot who he danced with, you are all 100% wrong. Sheesh, when will anyone remember it's the grand Duke who put the shoe on every girl? And then you guys become so judgmental on him. And unlike other prince, he jumped out a window and became a meme!

@MegaSoulhero wait a minute! Could that mean the Prince Charming possibly has short term memory loss?!

3 Prince Eric Prince Eric is a Disney character that makes an appearance in the 1989 disney film called the little mermaid. He is married to ariel by the end of the movie and is a royal kind-hearted prince.

Eric is a very terrible character! Not as bad as Ariel, but the fact that Ariel is the worst princess and Eric is the worst prince is just unbelievably sad! He gets saved by Ariel after almost drowning, Wonder Woman did this a lot better by the way, and he hears her beautiful voice, and that's pretty much the only way he's able to recognize her! And you can tell that after being rescued, he saw what she looked like! And then when he sees her again after she made the stupid decision of giving up her voice, he says that she isn't the girl he's looking for because she can't talk! By the way, a normal person would give someone something to write on if they can't talk! She could've easily written down that she lost her voice and things would've worked out! I know that Ariel and Eric hang out together and he eventually falls in love with her, but if she hadn't gotten her voice back, it would be over between them! It feels like the more and more I talk about the problems with this movie, the ...more

The entire movie shows that Prince Eric was completely a jerk. He only cared about Ariel because she was hot. And so OBVIOUSLY he led her on that he loved her, even though as soon as a girl with a pretty voice comes on, he ditches her and MARRIES the girl who he also never talked to! I guess talking isn't really important in getting to know a girl, Prince Eric. Right? Just make sure she can sing before marrying her, okay? Oh, and she has to be hot! He's such a jerk.

He is bland. But he very handsome. I mean look at that smile, and those beatiful eyes. A girl like me would be lucky to have him.

4 The Prince (Snow White)

Yep! He's literally just referred to as "The Prince"! They didn't even bother to come up with a name for him! Out of all the Disney princes, this guy is the most forgettable! I don't remember a single thing about him! Just that he kisses Snow White which causes her to wake up. Which I'm pretty sure is illegal. But other than that, nothing! I can't remember one line from him! People say the character of Snow White is bland, but I honestly think the prince is even more bland!

He should be #1. He doesn't even interact with Snow White. All he does is turn up at her palace, sings to her from a balcony and then kisses her at the end. Him and Snow White have no chemistry at all. They are the worst Disney Princess/Prince couple.

I love absolutely love Snow White and the seven Dwarfs, but the prince is my least favorite character in the film. Loved almost every character but him. Even the huntsman was awesome and way better than him.

Disney princes don't have personality or character, but "the prince" truly doesn't have even the ounce that most Disney princes had.

5 Prince Phillip

This is a a prince that I really want to like, but just like with Aurora, the movie doesn't give us any reason to like him! He barely gets any screen time! He is very underdeveloped! Sure, he slays a dragon at the end of the film but why should we care? We didn't connect with this character well enough to appreciate what he does. In fact, I was actually rooting for Maleficent! This guy seems very great, but I wanted to know more about him! Instead, they give us practically nothing. All we know is he's a handsome guy with a sword and a horse. That's it! The movie really lacks character development.

Unfortunately, most of the Disney princes are boring, cardboard cutouts, much like most of the Disney princesses. In most Disney princess movies, it's the villains and side characters that make the movies worth watching. Maleficent was the best part of Sleeping Beauty.

His last line is halfway through it

He has about 1 line

6 John Smith

John Smith is a bland character from the very bland film, Pocahontas. He can be pretty cool at times, but there's not really much to him. And the sad thing is, he's actually the most interesting character in the movie! If the movie was just about him, it wouldn't be good, but it would be far more interesting! I also kind of liked him better as a character in the sequel. In fact, after rewatching the sequel, I kind of prefer it over the original movie. But still, I don't really like John Smith that much, but he's still more tolerable than the other characters. And that when he meets Pocahontas is still so stupid considering she learned English from THE WIND! Is it still too soon? Sorry, Floridians.

To be fair most of these guys are bland and meant to be forgettable. This guy wasn't meant to be forgettable but he just is and they tried to make him act like Han Solo but it just failed.

7 Hercules

Not a prince, he's a Greek hero.

8 Li Shang

I like Li Shang in Mulan! He is such an awesome character! Very tough, very brave, very heroic! He is a very great character! But Mulan 2 ruined every ounce of appreciation I ever had for him! I absolutely despise Shang in Mulan 2! In fact, I despise every character in Mulan 2! They changed Shang from a very awesome warrior into a wimp! Remember that one scene where Mulan and Shang were arguing after Mushu did one of his tricks to break them up? Aside from the terrible animation, I really hate that scene since it makes us wonder why Mulan and Shang are still a couple! We would probably be better off if Mulan never started dating Shang. They made him such a terrible character to the point where I was glad that he died! But since Disney was too afraid to do that, he lived! How do you survive a fall from that high? Everything about this movie is bad! Do not watch Mulan 2! Ever!

I love Li Shang! He rocks!

Make a man out of you!

9 Phoebus

As much as I love Kevin Kline, this isn't his best character. Don't get me wrong, Phoebus is okay, but he's not exactly great. Fun fact: in the original book, Phoebus was actually a villain. He was a guy who liked to woo the women and he didn't actually care about Esmeralda. He was even glad that she was about to die. He kind of sounds like a mix between Gaston and Hans. However, I actually kind of like how they changed him in the Hunchback movie. He's a hero who ends up marrying Esmeralda and becomes Quasimodo's friend. However, there were moments that kind of made me wish they stuck with the original because he actually seems like the kind of guy who would be better as a villain rather than a good guy. Because he's a little too silly as a good guy. Plus, the romance between him and Esmeralda is very forced! Their relationship is very underdeveloped! Phoebus isn't a bad character in the movie, but he probably would've been a better one if they made him like he was in the book.

10 Simba Simba is a fictional character who appears in Disney's The Lion King franchise. Introduced in Walt Disney Animation's 32nd animated feature film The Lion King (1994), the character subsequently appears in its sequels The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998) and The Lion King 1½ (2004).

Um, what did he do wrong? He was a bit of a jerk in the second film but he was a king at that time.

W-what did he every do anything wrong? Sure he seemed a little OOC in the 2nd movie but still that doesn't mean he's to be hated.

He was kinda a jerk in the original Lion King.

Terrible character.

The Contenders
11 Prince Naveen

Prince Naveen! I really hated this guy in the first half of the movie. He seemed like an annoying and selfish jerk and I was wondering how we were supposed to care about him. But as the movie went on, I started to kind of like him. He's an okay character, but as far as princes goes, he's one of the weakest. Like I said, it took a while to actually get used to him. Even after the movie was over, I didn't think he was too great, but he's a passable character. He gets a few laughs from time to time. However, Tiana is the one who does most of the work on their adventure while Naveen does practically nothing. I get that it's a way to show us that she doesn't need a man to take care of herself, but they could've at least had Naveen help out a little more. But I still enjoyed him in the second half.

12 Kristoff Kristoff Bjorgman is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 53rd animated feature Frozen.

According to the internet, Kristoff is a Disney prince. Which makes sense since he is dating a princess. So I guess it counts. I wasn't able to completely fill this list with bad princes. So I had to add a good one. After minutes of deciding, I went with Kristoff. I don't see why people hate him. Oh wait. I know why. Because he's in Frozen! A lot of people love to hate that movie. But Kristoff is actually a pretty good character! When Anna and Kristoff go on an adventure to get Anna's sister, he is actually very helpful! He makes sure that Anna is safe along the way. He even helps out by taking her to the trolls. Aka the love experts. And when he takes Anna to the castle, he is shown to care about her a lot by wanting her to be safe! Their relationship is pretty underdeveloped, but he is still very kind and helpful!

Really? He was my favorite character in frozen

Why? He's really funny and hilarous. Plus he's kind and caring as well.

I liked Kristoff

13 Flynn Rider Flynn Rider is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 50th animated feature film Tangled, and its short film Tangled Ever After.

Prince Charming and the Snow White prince are both dreadful, but Flynn Rider annoys me more. He is overrated and irritating, and makes stupid jokes throughout the movie.

Ya gotta love this guy. He was my favorite in tangled.

He's the best Disney Prince and the most handsome too.

Annoying and dumb

14 Aladdin Aladdin is a fictional character and the protagonist of Disney's 1992 animated feature film Aladdin, and its two direct-to-video sequels The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves.

A thief turned into fraud. I didn't care when he got bound & gagged and thrown into the ocean.

What, he's good

15 Kuzco
16 Prince Edward Prince Edward is the tritagonist in Disney's 2007 feature film Enchanted. He is both voiced and portrayed by James Marsden, and is one of the only characters to be portrayed in live-action and animation.

He stabbed his sword on a bus roof and nearly killed everyone, as a part of his quest to marry Giselle and bring back happily ever afters, and he is good at nearly stabbing anyone in general, though he does look hot in live action.
What kind of Prince would do THAT?

17 Adam (Beauty and the Beast)
18 Prince Ben
19 Prince Adam (Beauty and the Beast)
20 Alex
21 Naveen
