Top 10 Worst European Animated Movies and TV Shows

Think that America and Canada have it bad when it comes to animation? Wait till you see these awful cartoons from several European countries.
The Top Ten
1 Tentacolino

Apparently the world's most offensive movie has a sequel. And it's even worse. Plot holes, inconsistencies, awful musical numbers, there's so much wrong with this film that you'll have to check it out for yourself to see how truly bad it is.

It makes Jurassic Park 3 and Age Of Ultron look like masterpieces!

Atrocious movie with awful lip-syncing

I hate this movie with a flamin passion, but it’s not the worst.. - Swampert02

2 Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir Also called "Miraculous", "Miraculous Ladybug", "Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir", "Ladybug and Cat Noir" or simply "Ladybug" . It's a French show created by Thomas Astruc and Jeremy Zag, produced by Method Animation (by Zag) and SAMG Animation (in Korean version). The theme song singed by Cash Callaway ...read more.

Not sure if it belongs in "worst" because it has plenty of good parts and some cute animation styles and designs, but it has a heap of flaws:
- Some animation looks very lazy and rushed. Low frames, jerky movement, so many copy-pasted background characters with bad recolour jobs
- The pacing goes too fast and some episodes try to force a "big emotional" plot point that falls flat and is just cringey and embarrassing to watch
- An entire flashback episode about "how much has changed" since season one reminded me how little anything ever changes in the series. So little character development. So little relationship changes. Still waiting and waiting for the things they keep teasing to finally happen. Meanwhile, we're drip fed tiny "backstory" details, as if the writers are hoping "maybe if we give them just a LITTLE more information about the past, they won't notice how stale the rest of the show is getting"
I could name more, but my love for the show is shriveling and dying ...more

Very overrated children's show. Very repetitive, no plot, and nearly every character is just an exaggerated stereotype. Romance, which of course drives the main plot, is huge cheese-fest, and the typical love triangle is escalated into a love square due to the incompetence of the two mains and their shared inability to recognize faces. Invincible heroes who never lose do absolutely nothing for the plot. Good for young children who don't need to understand what they're watching.

Wouldn't recommend to anyone older than 8.

Each to their own, but do not and at any cost trust the comments before this one, or at least those that are not made by an actual user from here. Sure, this is from a none user as well, but still! For you can actually vote more than once here, daily and there is no surprise this show has gotten such good ratings really.

This show is amazing! Why is it on here? The characters are amazing, and I like that it doesn't rely on poop jokes to make people laugh. (cough cough unlike every show on Nickelodeon cough cough) Also, UltimateCraig, how retarded of you to use "really gay" as an insult. Grow up, loser, and move out of your mommy's basement.

3 Titanic: The Animated Movie

Watched it. It kinda felt like a Disney movie on some scenes like with the nice and that. But Asulting a fog!? What the %#£@

An Italian film that's beyond insulting. It's about the sinking of the Titanic, but the real disaster is that it features a rapping dog. I'm not even kidding. Look it up yourself and you'll see what I mean.

Offensive to the people who drowned in the titanic

I think everyone overreacted over the three Titanic movies because on the Titanic survived. The movies were probably made not to scare kids around the ages of 3-7.

4 The Legend of the Titanic

Oh cartoon versions of Titanic and everyone survives I bet you've never even heard of earlier films like Raise the Titanic. Titanic has many films not just three animated films and the most famous one from 1997.

Another Italian film about the Titanic. Only this one's far worse. It actually features a giant octopus putting the Titanic back together. Nobody even dies in the movie at all. This film is definitely the crowning achievement of awful animation.

How many of these cringe inducing Titanic movies are there?

Deserved. Liked the movie when I was around 4 years old, so that should tell you all you need to know.

5 Oggy and the Cockroaches Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French animated comedy series produced by Xilam and Gaumont Film Company.

A French Tom and Jerry knockoff that's annoying, unfunny, and overrated. Not to mention it actually has over 269 episodes and a theatrical movie.

This cartoon is highly popular in South Asia, but it was made in France. I don't understand, why is this Tom And Jerry ripoff so popular?

This should not be on this list

6 Regal Academy Regal Academy is an Italian animated television series that debuted in 2016. Created by Iginio Straffi, the same person behind Winx Club, the series explores the lives of students who are the descendants of fairy tale characters attending Regal Academy. The show incorporates elements of comedy, drama, and fantasy, and has received positive reviews for its unique take on classic fairy tales. Regal Academy has attracted a devoted fanbase and various merchandise has been released in association with the series.

How isn't this in the top 5? It's Italy's poorly-animated, poorly-voice-acted answer to Ever After High.

The worst part about it is that it was made by the same man who created Winx Club!

Hated it the first moment I saw it

7 The Magic Voyage

I may like the German language and culture, but come on Germany this is just no, just no. I know that I might be unfair for judging this film when I haven't even seen it (although I judged Osmosis Jones as a bad film when I first heard about it but then months after I was forced to watch it in gym class my first impressions were 100% right) but I saw the Nostalgia Critic review of this and from what I could tell this just sounded atrocious.

A German film that's about a woodworm who discovered that the world was round instead of Christopher Columbus. Just enough to face palm yourself until your nose bleeds.

Columbus in real life was not the guy you heard about in Kindergarten. So why make a Kid's movie about him when you know it's gonna be pointless!

Needs to be higher on the list. It's a horrible abomination.

8 My Life Me

A French show that Canada helped with. Bad animation, cliched dialogue, cliched story, terrible script, everything about it is unoriginal and annoying.

It tries too hard to be like anime but fails.

9 Horrid Henry Horrid Henry is a British animated children's series based on the popular books by Francesca Simon. The show premiered in 2006 and follows the misadventures of Henry, a young boy who is notoriously mischievous. Aimed primarily at children, the series has received acclaim for its relatable characters and life lessons embedded in the narrative. Horrid Henry has spawned various merchandise, video games, and a feature film, extending its cultural impact.

This British show has awful voice acting. Not to mention that Henry is a whiny, selfish brat who's mean to his family.

Imagine Caillou as a Brit who's a few years older, and has hair. That's pretty much Horrid Henry.

UPDATE: I actually like the series (as it was part of my childhood), FIGHT ME!

I hate Henry's whiny voice. It makes me wanna beat him to the ground.

10 Captain Pugwash

Another British cartoon with animation worse than Paddy the Pelican. It's ugly, it makes no sense, the accents are so thick that you can't understand what they're saying, and one of the characters is literally named "Masterbate". I'm not even kidding.

Worst. European Show. Ever.

The Contenders
11 Robin

You may have heard of this Swedish show after watching the video to Radiohead's Paranoid Android, but trust me when I say it's not as good as you may think it is. It follows a guy named Robin and his day-to-day routines (whether it be making out with strippers or peeing on drains). And sometimes Robin will forget to transition scenes and repeat the same scene for 20 seconds.

In short bursts it's pretty good for a cheap laugh.

12 Little Britain

This is not animated

13 PJ Masks PJ Masks is an animated children's television series produced by Entertainment One, Frog Box, and TeamTO.

This show is Overrated as hell!

14 Dinosaur Adventure

One word: YEE.

By the way, this movie is called Dinosaur Adventure.

I died while looking at the picture!

All hail the almighty Yee! - BlazingParasol

Yee is a meme! Not a movie!

15 Goat Story

It feels like a Czech rip-off of Shrek, but most likely the second one due to the character similarities.

Many people, especially Kurtis Conner thinks that this movie is bad. So, here you go.

Did Tyga write this movie? Because he thinks he likes to have sex with the goats. - AlphaQ

Every bad Shrek rip-off needs a bad character rip-off.

16 The Three Friends and Jerry

It was South Park for children except this cartoon was cancelled years ago (actually it was Americans horrified with it). Yeah they had ridiculous heads, one looked like a member of Hanson back in the blond long hair days, an Asian girl with buckteeth and a scary old man.

An ugly Swedish show filled with sexual content. It literally has boys dreaming about cross-dressing. Sweden seems to have this bizarre obsession with sex in all their kids' cartoons.

17 Felix the Cat: The Movie
18 Winx Club Winx Club is an Italian animated television series directed, created and produced by Iginio Straffi and his company Rainbow S.r.l.
19 Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures is an American/French/Canadian CGI animated television series based on the Strawberry Shortcake franchise, created by Chris Nee.

Terrible animations and stories. Just watch an episode to see how bad it is.

20 Olivia
21 Peppa Pig Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series directed and produced by Astley Baker Davies in association with Entertainment One, which originally aired on 31 May 2004. It went on a hiatus for just over two years before re-premiering on 14 February 2015.

Such an awful cartoon that I remembered watching.

One of the worst British cartoons out there.

I HATE This Show With A Passion

22 Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom
23 Sir Billi
24 Postman Pat Postman Pat is a British stop-motion animated children's television series that debuted in 1981. The show follows Pat Clifton, a postal worker in the fictional village of Greendale, as he goes about his daily duties and interacts with the community. Created by John Cunliffe and produced by Ivor Wood, Postman Pat is one of the longest-running children's shows in the UK. The series is cherished for its charming characters, simple storytelling, and lessons on community values.

I hope you're talking about Series 6 (Special Delivery Service (S.D.S)), because it looks NOTHING like Postman Pat. Watch James A. Williams' rant on the series' downfall.

25 Strawinsky and the Mysterious House

Eww, the animation is so ugly. (especially the Globglogabgalab)
