These Grunge Bands are awful..... I`m excluding post- grunge bands. So bands like Puddle of Mudd will not be on this list.

The Top Ten

1 Stone Temple Pilots Stone Temple Pilots Stone Temple Pilots was formed in San Diego, CA in 1989. ...read more.

I doubt you've actually listened to any of their music. They did not outsell Nirvana or Pearl Jam, and they aren't a "poor man's Nirvana". Go compare the likes of Interstate Love Song and Plush to Dumb and Smells Like Teen Spirit, and then tell me who the Alice In Chains "wannabe" is. - Swellow

Sorry Jeff, but this isn't a good list. Half these bands aren't even Grunge, let alone around when it was popular. - cjWriter1997

You don't know anything about grunge outside of Pearl Jam and Nirvana, do you? - SwagFlicks

Damn looks like we got quite a awful Grunge list here. I don't think I need to go on because SwagFlicks and Swellow would already sum up most of my points anyway. - Grunger92

2 Bush Bush Bush are a British rock band formed in London, England in 1992. The band found their immediate success with the release of their debut album Sixteen Stone in 1994, which is certified 6× multi-platinum by the RIAA.

By the way Bush was never "Grunge", they've always been classified as an Alternative Rock band or in other cases Post-Grunge. - cjWriter1997

Foo Fighters were never considered Grunge bro. Alternative Rock =/= Grunge. Remember Grunge is the time period not the genre. - cjWriter1997

Bush aren't grunge. - Swellow

Their not that great for a Grunge band. - BoredJeff02

They aren't a grunge band, they're post-Grunge. Since you're one of those people who don't know the difference (Grunge is good, post-Grunge is crap) I'd advise not to make anymore lists like this. - Kfox101

3 Silverchair Silverchair Silverchair were an Australian rock band, which formed in 1992 as Innocent Criminals in Merewether, Newcastle with the line-up of Ben Gillies on drums, Daniel Johns on vocals and guitars, and Chris Joannou on bass guitar.

Only promoted by the mainstream because they were basically a radio-friendly Nirvana rip-off. - Kfox101

Pretty self explanatory. - BoredJeff02

Just awful music. Get pandered to in the press due to the singer's friendship with Kurt Cobain. Try listening to one of their albums. You won't get through 2 songs.

Why does this band exist? I will never know. - BoredJeff02

They're not grunge. - Swellow

Good but overrated. - BoredJeff02

They suck. The guitar is repetitive and also sucks, the lyrics are truly horrible, the drums are bad, and the vocals are horrendous. I don't think I've ever heard worse vocals in my whole life. He put no emotion into his singing and no pride in his work. They were trash, and I don't care for them at all.
The death of decent people is a sad occasion, and Kurt was no exception.
That doesn't change the fact that Nirvana sucked.

12 Jane's Addiction Jane's Addiction Jane's Addiction is an American rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1985. The band consists of Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney.
